"... Are you really cursing me out?" Ren asked, dumbfounded.

With the way Rayen said everything with a straight face, Ren didn’t know what to feel. But Rayen was also perplexed with his adversary’s reaction. He blinked, confused.

’No. I’m complimenting you, ah!’

Meanwhile, Liam almost choked on his food hearing their strange conversation. Just what the hell is going on?

Liam looked at Rayen in a deep frown.

The others felt queazy with his roundabout pause, waiting intently for his response.

Everyone pursed their lips. They didn’t know why, but Rayen seemed nonchalant about the situation he was in. It was his life that was at stake here, not just his image!

He wasn’t acting nonchalant though. There was just nothing he could do about it now. After reading the comments earlier, the burden on Rayen’s shoulder eased for a bit. For now, it seemed like he had averted being pushed onto the cliff.
