I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess -
Chapter 253 - 253: Beatrice Over?
So that wasn't possible.
The only case would be Lillian just told Beatrice, which, for any other person, she wouldn't completely care.
But with the way Beatrice had been messing with her a couple of days ago, she wasn't completely sure if she could trust that Beatrice had any other ulterior motives with Lillian.
Her hold on Lillian tightened subconsciously, unintentionally causing Lillian to be unable to reach the card scanner as she was pulled back.
Lillian wore a wry smile on her face before having to pat Marionette's arm to gesture for her to decrease the pressure around her neck.
Fortunately, Beatrice was there to get the door for them as she yanked it from the girl's hand and scanned the scanner for her.
She pushed open the door and calmly gestured for them to enter.
"Ladies first~"
Marionette clicked her tongue, urging Lillian to move in quickly.
Just before Beatrice could enter, Marionette quickly grabbed the door handle and pulled, intending to close the door before a voice resounded from behind her.
"Oh! You two are back."
Veronica, stepping out from the kitchen in an apron and wiping her hands with a towel, walked up to them with a smile.
"How was your training? Was it fun?"
Lillian nodded, "It went alright."
She then raised her arms up in a joyful manner.
"I managed to cut Marionette!"
"Ooo~!" Veronica clapped her hands rapidly together in a proud manner. "I'm so proud of you~! Do come inside. I made all of us dinner."
Lillian raised her hands hesitantly, "Oh, you didn't have too..."
"Too late~!"
Veronica then walked over to the Marionette, glancing at the Assassin's hand that was still on the door handle.
"No need to keep holding on the door, dear... Come in and help with setting up the table." Veronica told the Assassin, who hesitantly let go of the handle once she moved her hand towards it.
Veronica nodded at her, watching as she moved away from the door and towards Lillian.
She then raised her gaze, glancing curiously through the gap in the door before freezing.
What she saw was an extremely familiar face. It was Beatrice. Albeit her face was much more mature and grown-up since the last time she saw her, but grown-up nonetheless.
She immediately pushed open the door, holding her hands before her mouth and giving an extremely dramatic gasp at who it was.
"Oh my! Is that you Beatrice? How long has it been~?! Please come in!"
Beatrice gave a small chuckle at Veronica's energetic behaviour and did as she said.
She moved past the woman and answered her earlier question with a hint of nostalgia behind her voice:
"It has been a few years since we last met. How has Mister Arius been? Has he been well?"
Veronica closed the door and sighed at the woman's question, remembering what had occurred with her husband.
"That man is at home. Injured. Fortunately, he agreed to stay home because Lillian would get mad if her wounded father were moving around. But besides that, work and research has been well. Small progress, but progress nonetheless."
She then tilted her head, looking towards Lillian, who was still standing in the corridor of the entrance. Veronica raised her fist threateningly at her:
"Go and set up the table, Lillian! Don't you see we have two guests here? Or do I have to make you do it?"
"W-wha—?!"
Lillian, flustered by her mother's threat, grumbled as she hunched her back over slightly with her arms dangling. She turned towards the living room and walked while quietly muttering:
"This is my dorm room, though... Why'd I gotta go set it up...?"
Beatrice, watching as Lillian slowly left, smiled slightly.
She looked towards Veronica and asked:
"Could I go help Lillian with setting up the table?"
Veronica nodded strongly, clapping her hands.
"Of course! Just like old times. Please do that."
Beatrice nodded to the mother's confirmation and walked past Marionette, shooting the Assassin a playful and mischievous look, which seemed to tick the woman off.
Before Marionette could move towards the living room, she felt Veronica clutch her shoulder, causing her to subconsciously stiffen before relaxing.
Turning back, she found the mother smiling at her whilst gesturing towards the inside of the kitchen.
"Could you please help me with preparing the food, Marionette?"
A flash of hesitation crossed the inside of the eyes of the Assassin. After a split second, the black-haired woman nodded to the mother's request.
"Of course." She answered promptly, albeit slightly reluctant, which she hid rather well.
As the two were plating the food, Lillian and Beatrice were setting up the table, and they decided to have a rather interesting conversation.
The start of it was:
"Did you guys do it yet, you know?" Beatrice inquired, grabbing a tablecloth from one of the nearby cupboards.
Lillian almost choked on her spit as she heard her question.
Who suddenly begins a question like that?!
She watched as the woman held the tablecloth towards her.
Lillian grabbed the cloth whilst simultaneously answering the blonde-haired woman's shocking question.
"O-of course not! We only just started dating!"
She spread it across the table before smoothing it out, pushing any air bubbles stuck underneath.
Beatrice returned from the kitchen with plates and silverware, having just survived a barrage of glares from a certain Assassin, who still showed hostility towards her.
After placing the plates down, she responded:
"Sure. But your girlfriend seems like she wants it."
Beatrice eyed Lillian's face, which quickly turned red. The white-haired girl hastily turned her face, embarrassed and shy at the same time.
Beatrice grinned proudly at having accurately guessed.
"You might want to do something little to satisfy that woman, or else she might explode."
"W-what are you even on about—!?" Lillian flusteredly backed away from the table, yelling with a shaky voice.
Unfortunately, Lillian couldn't get an answer, for both her mother and Marionette had exited the kitchen with oven mittens around their hands and carrying a large tray of what she could only assume to be...
