I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess -
Chapter 252 - 252: Sudden Meeting?
After leaving the virtual reality to take a break from training for the day, they happened to meet someone unexpected on the way.
Lillian, glancing to the side, watched as someone moved into their path from a different road.
Her eyes glanced between the blonde hair that stretched all the way down their back.
Blue eyes that seemed to radiate confidence and a sense of authority.
And once this person turned towards her, Lillian's eyes landed on a vertical scar over their left eye.
It was the Student Council President, Beatrice.
And she seemed to be returning from a day in the library.
Beatrice briefly widened her eyes, surprised about the fact she happened to meet them.
"Oh, Lillian." She gave a small wave and then smiled, "Fancy meeting you here, you know?" She muttered the last part of her sentence quietly.
She placed her right hand on her right hip, watching as Lillian waved back, reciprocating her smile as well.
"Hello, Beat!" She greeted the woman with a cheery tone, "It is a bit random. How've you been since the last time I met you?"
Beatrice traced her fingers under her eyelids, grabbing Lillian's attention, who smiled wryly.
"A lot of work?"
Beatrice sighed, her smile stretching into a defeated one.
"It's inevitable, my dear Lilly. I had to pull an all-nighter to authorise some of the merchants, who had by now set up their stands outside of the colosseum. The only time for break is when I watch the matches."
She shrugged before going silent.
She walked over to Lillian and patted her shoulder with a proud grin.
She then said:
"Good job on your match, by the way. It was very entertaining. A step closer to coming onto the council, you know?"
Lillian scratched the back of her head, chuckling shyly.
"I kind of botched it, though. I wanted to beat all three of them on my own."
Lillian sighed, shrugging disappointedly.
"Can't always get what you want, though~..."
Beatrice tilted her head, smirking at Lillian's disappointment.
"I think you could have done it. And if not, there is always room for improvement."
After saying this, she raised her hand to the top of the girl's head, patting it with an encouraging expression.
Lillian continued to chuckle shyly under her patting, something that a certain Assassin disliked slightly.
While Beatrice patted Lillian, she watched as, in the corners of her eyes, a black hand reached out and pinched the edge of her sleeve.
She trailed her gaze up the hand, which led her gaze to Marionette, who had formed a thin layer of darkness around her hand, making it act as a sort of thin latex glove.
Beatrice watched as the woman pulled her hand off the girl's head with a warning look that caused her to giggle slightly.
Her giggle then intensified as she watched Marionette wrap her arms around Lillian from behind and pull her away from her.
The Council President couldn't help but be extremely amused by the Assassin's obvious display of possession over the white-haired girl.
Lillian couldn't help but chuckle nervously as Marionette shot Beatrice a threatening stare.
Beatrice folded her arms, huffing in an amused manner.
"I see that you two are very much closer now~... You know?" She cooed.
She then twirled her finger at them in a teasing manner.
"Together yet?"
Lillian nodded, her lips stretching into a grateful smile as she leaned back in the Assassin's embrace.
"Uh, huh. We're finally dating now. And I kind of got you to thank you for that." She giggled.
Beatrice waved her hand dismissively, chuckling slightly at what Lillian said.
"You guys just needed a little push, you know?"
She then tilted her head.
"So. Where are you guys off to? Heading back to the dorm?"
"Yep."
Lillian raised her hand, shaping it into a fist before popping out her thumb and pointing it over her shoulder.
"We just finished training."
"Oh, right. Tomorrow's match is going to have the Prince in it, right? Quite exciting isn't it, you know?"
Lillian tilted her head.
"Have you already checked the teams that we put together?"
Beatrice nodded.
"I have. Quite an interesting selection, I must say, you know. I trust you guys have a good handle."
She then added:
"Anyway, why don't I walk with you two? I'm heading back to my room as well."
"That's—"
Before Marionette could turn down her proposal, Lillian had already said yes.
"Sure! We'll be glad to have you around."
Marionette stared down at the top of Lillian's head with a complicated expression.
She didn't want to have another person around them during this time where, especially someone she had recently got into conflict with.
Beatrice scrutinised the Assassin's face, revelling slightly in the disdain the woman had for her. It seemed that she had found a good way to entertain herself for today.
"Excellent! Well, we better get going, you know?"
As she said this, she moved to their side and began walking alongside them, something that Marionette disliked quite a bit but couldn't say much.
Instead, she just clung around Lillian from behind even tighter.
Occasionally, Lillian had to pat the Assassin's forearm to tell her to soften her embrace unless she wanted to choke her out.
Eventually, they reached the dormitory and took the same elevator.
And also...
Stopped on the same floor?
Lillian stared curiously at Beatrice as they walked through the corridor, wondering why she was on their floor.
"I don't think this is your floor, Beat."
"Because you're right, you know." She shrugged, "I just wanted to make sure you two get back to your room safely."
As she said this, Marionette's face twitched irritably.
"I don't believe that would be an issue, Miss Council President—"
"Oh, look. We're already here."
Beatrice gestured towards Lillian's door. But her interruption only led to Marionette raising an eyebrow at her.
Beatrice knew which room Lillian was designated to?
Was this just one of the perks of being part of the student council, or had Lillian brought her over without knowing?
Marionette, who was overthinking this, shook her head.
It wasn't possible. She had always stuck by Lillian's side, so that wasn't...
