I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess
Chapter 254 - 254: Troubled Professor?

"Pasta?"

Long yellow noodles numbering several dozen. All coated and slathered in a delectable and scrumptious-looking red sauce on top of it. And occasionally, stuck in it were beef shaped into balls.

As they placed it in the centre of the table, Lillian couldn't pry her eyes away from it. And she knew the obvious reason why.

She was hungry.

And this was made apparent as a heavy growl echoed from her stomach, drawing the gazes of the three other women in the room, who stared at her with a warm gaze.

Lillian laughed, embarrassed by her stomach, as she rubbed the back of her head before quietly muttering:

"Oops... Hehe, it smells good."

Her mother blinked at her before gesturing towards her seat, "Then, let's get you full. You must be hungry after your sparing lessons."

And that was what she did. That was what they all did.

They sat around the table and scooped the pasta onto their plates individually. This led to a rather warm atmosphere to come about as they delved into a variety of topics.

Beatrice and Veronica were the most talkative, while Lillian was in the middle of being chatty and quiet. Occasionally, Marionette joined the conversation to input her details, but not much.

Overall, the dinner was enjoyable.

After an hour or two had passed, Beatrice had now decided to return to her room.

"Well, then. Thank you very much for having me over. But..." She pulled out her phone and checked the time, "I believe I should be going now."

"Oh, yes!" Veronica clapped, getting up, "Sorry for keeping you for so long, my dear Beatrice! I know you must be tired after your work here."

Beatrice waved her off with a chuckle and smile, "It's not an issue, Veronica. Really. I'm just happy to have met you again after so long."

The two of them then moved towards the corridor of the exit.

Lillian, glancing towards Marionette, said:

"I'm gonna go see her off. You should go get ready for bed."

Marionette nodded and watched as Lillian left to go see Beatrice off. Her eyes twitched at the women's voices at the exit.

After hearing Beatrice's voice, she couldn't help but sigh while rubbing the gap between her brows.

She shouldn't get so worked up about the Student Council. It wasn't like she was going after her Lillian. It was most likely the woman was just trying to get a rise out of her like she did a couple of days ago.

And she couldn't really see Lillian picking anyone else over her.

Even if it was a bit narcissistic, she was sure she was the better choice out of everyone in this academy.

Shaking her head, she got up and went to freshen up in the bathroom.

She'll just diminish this thought after having some intimate moments with Lillian after she comes back. That always lessened her worries.

[Headmaster's Office]

Mirage pressed the tips of his fingers against his forehead with a frustrated look in his eyes as he looked down at his desk.

Papers.

Stacks of them.

And all of them regarding the security within the realm.

It was becoming too much for the False Headmaster of the Academy. And despite this, he still continued to wear his usual cold smile even though no one was there to see it.

No one but a leaning picture frame of a woman, which he turned away from him, preventing the person in the frame from seeing what he was doing.

He returned his attention back to the reports he was given from the Observance Department of the academy.

There had been an increase in "thugs" inside the academy, something he had thought wouldn't ever happen since the control and regulation of the rings to get into the realm were strict enough to prevent such people from getting in.

Had his staff been getting slack in their duties?

"At least the Engaging Department and those on the Student Council aren't getting lazy."

The Engaging department was a sector in the academy's organisation that would go on to meet the troubles within the realm head-on.

An example of people in this department would be the guards wandering the streets.

He then raised a separate report and scrutinised it.

What he was looking at was something having to do with the Garbage disposal's gradual increase in liquid, specifically water.

He had already known who the culprit was.

Lillian Ker Arius.

The Entrance Exam topper. A student who had managed to achieve the second Tier. The one who killed a C-rank monster in the Forest of Disruption on her own.

And lastly...

The Lady of Roses's Lover.

As he continued reading through the report, something caught his eye.

Those who worked in the department that worked on sorting through the trash had found a rather... Concerning device or Item that had been dreadfully soaked and short-circuited.

Mirage stared at the coloured image of what he could only assume to be the picture of the device, which hadn't been wiped down or dried.

It was a dense black box the size of an average-sized person's hand with tiny microscopic holes in it. And along its polished surface were runic inscriptions etched all over it.

Mirage's eyes then travelled down the report, reading line-by-line.

While the device was currently undergoing research by the Research Department, the department that dealt with the disposal of garbage had discovered more and more of these mysterious cubes.

And...

What they discovered was that...

"The appearances of the cubes had only appeared in one of the bins inside the realm."

He then pulled up another report—this one being a very familiar culprit and one he had just gone over just seconds ago.

It was Lillian pouring an unreasonable amount of water into a particular bin.

Mirage sighed, putting down the report and leaning back in his chair.

He briefly closed his eyes, taking in a deep breath before staring up at the ceiling.

He then thought about his meeting with the king a day ago while Lillian was still competing in her match...
