Chapter 961: Everyone’s fears coming to life
Meanwhile, in the Zhu Old Residence...
Sebastian watched his grandparents play with Miracle while he sat on the couch. Ever since Heaven dropped him off at his grandparent’s home, this had been a sight he had grown used to. Not that he felt jealous of his grandparents’ attention to Miracle. To be fair, he preferred not being bothered by them much. He had more time to enjoy his reading time.
But somehow, some way, there was this feeling he couldn’t shrug off.
After watching his grandparents play with Miracle, Sebastian jumped off the couch with a book in his hand.
"Basti, where are you going?" Just as he took a few steps away, Ria spoke soothingly.
Sebastian looked back, only to see his grandparents looking at him curiously. "I’ll head to the garden to read my book."
"Are we being loud?"
"No." Sebastian shook his head. "I just want to stay there."
"Is that so?"
Sebastian sported a short smile and bowed slightly. That said, he took little steps out of the family room. Meanwhile, the Zhu couple sighed as they kept their eyes on his little back. Even Grandma Zhu, sitting in the wheelchair near Miracle’s playpen, was sighing.
"He probably missed his parents," said Ria with a quick smile. "Should we take him out to an amusement park?"
"I’m sure he’ll be fine," replied Lionel, her husband. "You know Basti. He likes reading his book in quiet surroundings."
"But should we let him be?"
"Ria, don’t worry much about Basti." This time, Grandma Zhu spoke. "That kid took after his father so much. It’s better if we leave him alone so he can enjoy his own time."
Ria pressed her lips into a thin line and nodded. She then glanced at the entrance, sighing one deep breath.

"Little master, is everything okay?" Gray, who saw Sebastian heading to the garden, sat in the chair across from the little master. "You’ve been a little quiet since this morning."
Sebastian snapped his eyes up to the man he spent most of his time with.
"Are you bored?" Gray followed up. "Do you want to learn something? Should we hack your Uncle Axel again? Or should we gather more data from the research facility again?"
"Uncle Gray, when are my mommy and daddy going to pick us up?" Sebastian asked without beating around the bush.
Gray’s brows rose, a little taken aback at the little master’s question. "Ahh... about that..."
"Ever since I woke up, I feel a little uneasy," Sebastian confessed, looking at Gray with hope. "Did they go somewhere dangerous?"
"What?"
"Uncle Gray, I might be young, but I’m not blind," he said. "The bodyguards in the old residence are twice bigger than usual. Are we in danger again?"
Gray looked at the little master, opening and closing his mouth like a fish. For a moment, Sebastian’s line of question rendered him speechless. That was right. Sebastian might be young and adorable, especially in front of his mother. However, he was smart and exceptionally observant.
"It’s not like that." Gray sighed and smiled. "I can’t say exactly where your parent’s business trip was, but I’m sure they will pick you up once they come home."
"I know they will."
"Basti." Gray huffed and rose from his seat, only to take the seat right next to the little master. "You know your mom, right?"
"Mhm."
"She’s really skilled."
Sebastian pressed his lips into a thin line, looking up at the gentle uncle. "She’s a superhero."
"Right." Gray nodded. "Your mom is amazing in every way. She’s like a superhero, even to me, and to Uncle Princess. She’s our hero."
He paused as his eyes softened, stroking the little master’s hair gently. "I’m not saying we’re not a little worried about her, but knowing her, I’m sure we’re worrying for nothing. After all, she’s someone who always keeps her word."
Sebastian lowered his eyes, and then looked up again when Gray asked;
"Had she ever disappointed you?" Gray raised his brows and smiled.
The little master shook his head. "Never."
"Then I’m sure she won’t disappoint you this time as well." Gray ruffled his soft hair mildly. "I’m not saying there’s nothing to worry about, but from what I heard, children’s prayers were ten times more effective than an adult’s prayers."
"Uncle Gray, have you gone to church before?"
"Huh?"
"What you said told me you’ve never been in a church."
"What? Basti, I’ve been in the church before!" Gray affirmed. "I even attended a mass and listened throughout the sermon! I’m not like Tiger, who fell asleep in the middle of the sermon."
Sebastian scrunched up his nose a little, doubting Gray’s defense. "Uncle, going to the church is not a one-time thing."
"Haha!" Gray laughed nervously, holding himself back from telling the kid he should ask his mother. His mother had attended the mass before, and then butchered the bishop right after!
"Ahem!" Gray cleared his throat and shook his head. Heaven would kick him in the gut if he argued with the little master. "Anyway, my point is your mommy is an amazing woman. She’s a little scary, but she’s also very kind. Not to mention, your dad is with her. For sure, he would protect her if she needs it."
He lowered his head until his eyes were leveled with the little master. "Do you trust them?"
Both of them stared at each other until Sebastian nodded.
"See?" Gray ruffled his head again. "Let’s just wait for them, alright?"
"Mhm!" Sebastian smiled and nodded again.
"Until then, how about we do something else?"
"Uncle Gray, let’s hack Uncle Axel again!"
"Should we make him cry this time?" Gray grinned mischievously. "This time, he’ll really believe there’s a ghost in his house."
"Hehe. Let’s do that."
With that being said, Gray told Sebastian to wait as he jogged back to the mansion to get his laptop. When he returned, he was bringing his devices, and they started giving Axel another scare like what they had been doing the past several days.

Meanwhile...
"Ugh..." Hera grunted, breathing in quick breaths. Her vision was blurry, blood was trickling down her head, and her body was lying on the green plain with her tummy. Lifting her head with great difficulty, she saw Heaven lying not far away from her.
"Hera..." she called, stretching her blood-smeared hand out as she caught blood spreading underneath Heaven’s body. Despite her blurring vision and fading consciousness, she caught a pair of legs right next to Heaven.
"N — no..." she whispered helplessly. "... don’t... take... her..."
Just as those words rolled out of her tongue, Hera succumbed to the darkness.
