Chapter 954: My feelings are all crumpled into one giant ball.

"Don’t worry. I don’t plan on dying, knowing my children are waiting for me to pick them up from their grandparent’s home."

Fighting an entire organization all on her own was something Heaven had experienced during Hera’s peak. There were times she would just run off on her own, massacring all of her enemies and when her people arrived, the job was already done.

But back then, she didn’t care if she would die or not. Those times were mostly to end people — tons of people — without thoughts of protecting anyone including herself. Which made a huge difference to their situation at the moment.

Leo aside as the man was already in Wolf’s care, she also had to consider Hera’s (her body) safety. Adding to that, Dominic was on the other side of the country battling another mob boss whom she knew was cunning and wicked. Not to mention, her dearest friend Ivy. And her life. So many lives she cared about were on the line.

"What a troublesome scenario," she muttered. "At least, it’s troublesome while I’m in this body."

After being in this body for quite some time now, Heaven was already comfortable in it. She trained this frail body day and night, breaking its limitations for a situation like this. However, the big problem was that despite all the skills she retained and honed, this face was not Hera. If she died right now, she could imagine all her loved ones following her to the afterlife.

Even if Dragon wouldn’t do it, Dane would. If she showed her face to Dragon’s alliances, then these people would set their eyes on not just her husband, but her children as well. Their reason could be for revenge, but knowing how greedy they were, they would rationalize it and target the family’s fortune. As sick as it may sound, that was something she was sure of.

This was the underground; a place where evil was deep-rooted.

"I shouldn’t have removed my mask," she told herself and sighed. "Now, there’s only one way to end things."

She had to end them ALL.

Tapping on her earpiece twice, she spoke. "No One, can you get into the car?"

"Huh?" Primo grunted, holding on his side while glaring daggers at Fig. "What did you say? You want me to get in the other car?"

"Can you do it?"

"I can try!" Primo looked back at the new cars that were now hot on their tail. "But damn! I can imagine these people opening fire if I put my hand out of the window."

Heaven glanced at the rearview mirror. The windshield on the back was shattered. If those guys shoot, it would be too dangerous for her. The only reason the enemies hadn’t done that was because on her tail was Dragon. If they shoot, they might hit the car Dragon was in.

"Can Fig do it?" she asked, only to hear Primo’s sarcasm almost instantly.

"This guy can barely fit in the driver’s seat!" he gasped. "Before he could even get in the other car — no! Before he could even get out of the driver’s seat, he’d be dead!"

"He shouldn’t have eaten too much."

"You only realized that now?!"

"Fine." Heaven breathed out as she thought of a way. "I’m going back in. Keep the car close."

"Huh?" Primo scrunched up his now, looking at Fig with confusion.

"What?" asked Fig.

"This girl..." Primo pointed at his earpiece, confused. "She said she’s going back in."

Fig’s brows rose as he glanced at Primo. "Anything else?"

"She said keep the car close." Primo shook his head. "I don’t know, dude. I can’t understand what’s going on in that woman’s head right now. You know her better, so maybe you can figure that... out -- what the fuck?"

Primo trailed off as he furrowed his brows, eyes on the car ahead of them where Heaven was. The car was slowly moving to the other lane. He blinked and blinked, held his breath, waiting for what would happen next. Just as he claimed, he had no idea what Heaven was planning right now.

He knew she was going back in. Meaning, back to the sedan where Hera and Dragon were. But how? Would she climb to the rooftop of the car again? And jump from there? That was too risky. Considering now, those cars behind them were armed. They would shoot her down the moment she showed herself.

"Hey," called Primo with his eyes still fixed on Heaven’s car. "What do you think she’s planning to do?"

"I don’t know."

"You don’t know?!"

"I don’t have the same luxury to wonder about things like you," Fig answered monotonously. "All I know is that I have to keep the car close."

When those words rolled out of Fig’s tongue, he twisted the steering wheel and bumped their side against the other car. This time, he kept the car drive with its side almost glued to the other car. Glancing at the sedan, he could see Dragon shouting and showing him a middle finger.

"I guess he’s really angry," Fig remarked, but before he could set his eyes ahead, he heard Primo gasp.

"Oh no, oh no, oh no!" Primo’s breath hitched as his eyes went wide.

Looking ahead to what surprised Primo, Fig caught Heaven’s car drifting in the middle of the road and crashing against the side railing. The rear of her car even broke through the railing, making both men wonder if she was fine or if they should slow down.

With their current speed, it would only take several seconds to reach her.

"Oy," Primo called before he panicked. "Oy, oy, oy! What the fucking hell — hey! We’re going to crash into her!"

Fig clenched his teeth and gripped the steering wheel tightly. "Keep the car close," he murmured, reminding himself those were her orders. Thus, even with a slight hesitation, he didn’t slow down and kept his eyes wide open.

A few seconds later, a loud screech was heard as smoke ascended from Heaven’s tires. Now facing Fig and the enemies’s cars, she drove as fast as she could, meeting them halfway, and grazing the side of the car against the sedan.

"What the!" Primo gasped once more and shut his eyes.

After a few jagged breaths, he peeked and looked back to see where Heaven had gone. Much to his dismay, before she could even drive past them, she swiftly drove in reverse until they were sandwiching the sedan with her still driving in reverse.

"Holy fucking shit." Primo’s jaw almost dropped, unable to believe what was happening.

Since Heaven’s back windshield was shattered, she knew the enemies on their tail could open fire at her if she just slowed down and sandwiched the sedan. But if she turned back and drove in reverse, the front windshield could protect her for the time being.

"Crazy," he remarked, shaking his head in disbelief. "She’s crazy... but really, that’s amazing. I think I’m in love. Damn... she drives me crazy, literally! I don’t know if I’m scared, excited, amazed — wow! My feelings are all crumpled into one giant ball."

Meanwhile,Fig glanced to the side and smiled subtly. He heaved a sigh of relief, refocusing his attention on the road, now grasping Heaven’s next step.

"Primo, she’s married with two kids. Even if Dominic dies, you won’t have a chance," Fig remarked, snapping Primo from any delusional thoughts. "Let’s buy her more time."

He paused and jerked his double chin ahead. "Those in the back wouldn’t be our problem for now, but those guys ahead will see this as an opening."

"Aight!" Primo pulled out his big gun and grinned. "Those guys, I know! They’re Dimitri’s people and I plan to make a full-course meal out of them!"

Primo laughed evilly while Fig shook his head. When they saw a gun coming out of the window in the front, Primo slipped his gun through the small gap in the window and engaged in a gunfight to cover for Heaven.
