"Fuck!!!" Dragon panted for air after venting out his anger at the steering wheel. He tried taking control of the car but to no avail. Their vehicle was driving on its own. Considering Joker was behind it, Dragon knew it was impossible to take control over something he already had full authority.

"Fucking Joker," he breathed out, glancing at the rearview mirror when he heard a light chuckle.

Hera was still holding on to her stomach, leaning against the door of the backseat. Her lips were curled up, eyes glinting with mockery.

"You’re not getting away, Dragon," she ridiculed. "You know them better than anyone. Once they set their eyes on something or someone, even a miracle won’t be enough to stop them."

Dragon ground his teeth, looking away from the rearview mirror.

"Dragon..." Hera grunted as she dragged herself up. "You should stop. There’s nowhere in this world they won’t find you."

"Shut up!"

"You should give up!" Hera raised her voice, laughing in between. "All this struggle is pathetic."

Dragon looked back, eyes burning in rage. He ground his teeth, compelled to vent his anger to her instead. Hera, on the other hand, smirked. Witnessing everything unfold and seeing him lose his cool made her realize Dragon was also human.

He might be vile to the bones and act like the devil, but in front of more evil forces before him, he would tremble in fear. It was a sight to behold. And somehow, it disappoints her how she trembled and tiptoed around him when she could be just as crazy as Heaven. But then again, Heaven could do this because she was the real Hera.

"You ungrateful bitch!" He shouted, reaching out his hand to the backseat to grab her. "I’ve done everything for you and this is how you repay me!?"

Hera squealed, lifting her feet to kick him back. "For me?!" she yelled aggressively. "Since when did I ask you to do anything for me?!" After launching a kick, she flailed her arms around as if trying to punch him.

"Did I ask you to keep me alive?! Did I ask you to drug me and fake my death!? I don’t recall wanting anything that you’ve given me!" she continued, letting everything out. "I never asked you for anything! So, don’t you dare call me ungrateful when, in the first place, I never asked for anything!"

Dragon and Hera busily fought as he tried grabbing a hold of her while she aggressively flailed her arms around. After a full minute of struggle, Dragon held her wrist to stop her. When he restrained her arms, Hera stopped and looked at him maliciously.

"Dragon, if there’s anyone I won’t forgive in this world... that would be you," she dawdled, shaking her head mildly, eyes fixed on him. "I don’t love you and I will never love you. All those times I smiled at your face and in your embrace, all I feel is how my stomach turns. Your kisses, your sweet nothings, and even the way you look at me with such affection disgust me."

"You..." she panted while grinding her teeth. "... disgust me."

Dragon froze, looking at her with blank eyes. Now that she mentioned all those things to him, he couldn’t help but wonder what face she would make behind his back. While he was satisfied and happy with their relationship, she must be sneering or maybe laughing in ridicule.

"You!" His grip on her arm tightened as his vision slowly turned red. "It must have been fun for you to play with me, huh? Fine, Hera. If you want to die so bad, then I’ll kill you."

Dragon pushed her back, earning a squeal as she was tossed against the side of the backseat. Without wasting a second, Dragon crawled his way back. Seeing him, Hera screamed her lungs out and kicked the air to stop him. Whatever he was planning to do to her, she knew it would be bad.

"Stop it, you bitch!" he roared, blocking her kicks with his arm and then swiftly grabbing her ankle. He pulled it, making her slide slightly, before pouncing on top of her.

"Stop!" Hera moved her arms around in a frail attempt to stop him, but then, felt a pair of hands grabbing her neck.

"Die!" Dragon breathed out, gripping her neck as tight as he could. "Die, Hera! This is what you want, right? Even if you wronged me, I still love you. So, I’ll fulfill your wish just as you asked!"

Hera coughed as she slapped the hands around her neck. Her face slowly turned beet red and her slaps grew aggressive yet weak.

’He’ll really kill me!’ she thought, clasping her hand to punch his arm. She stretched her other arm, grabbing his collar and pushing his jaw with her fingertips.

She was losing more strength, and she was slowly losing consciousness. Hera stretched his fingers more, pushing his jaw away while trying to peel his fingers from her neck. It was strange, but Hera couldn’t help but wonder.

When someone tried to murder her in her original body, that person also strangled her. This feeling wasn’t new to her nor the fear that came along with it.
