Chapter 939: Sir Dominic’s orders
"Dom, get in! That useless Moose didn’t do the job well! They’re back!"
The moment Dominic heard Tiger and saw the SUV heading back into the mansion, he immediately jogged to the front passenger seat.
"Damn that Moose," Tiger hissed, buckling his seat in a hurry before stepping his foot on the pedal. Dominic, on the other hand, buckled his seat securely and then looked at the back seat.
"Are you okay?" Dominic asked the person in the back, only to see Ivy nod.
"Are you?" she returned.
"I am still," Dominic said before holding the handle above the door. "But I don’t know in the next minutes."
Ivy gulped as she instinctively reached for the handle, grasping what Dominic meant by that. She slowly shifted her eyes to the driver’s seat, hearing Tiger say, "Hold tightly, people," before the tires screeched aloud.
Smoke came from the tires as tire tracks marked the driveway. In a snap of a finger, their vehicle started to move, making Ivy and Dominic lean back due to the force.
"Oh, god," was all Ivy could say because, after that, all she could do was pray for their safety in her heart.

Meanwhile, in the SUV heading back into the mansion, Dane clenched his teeth when he saw a figure standing in the driveway. He would never mistake that person. Dane spent his recent years following that man day and night.
"He’s here," he breathed out through his gritted teeth. "I wasn’t mistaken."
Alfred, who was in the driver’s seat, didn’t know Dominic so much. However, he knew perfectly well the person lying near Dominic’s feet.
"He killed Katherine," Alfred grumbled, stepping on the pedal harder as if that would give them more speed. "I’m going to disintegrate him!"
Before they could even reach the entrance, the black sedan in the mansion’s driveway rushed outside the gates. Both Alfred and Dane’s eyes blazed as the black sedan drifted, making a turn to the other road opposite theirs.
"Follow them," Dane ordered, keeping his unblinking eyes on the black sedan. "Don’t let them get away."
Alfred gulped, sliding his eyes to the entrance of the mansion. "But Katherine —"
"She’s dead and not important." Dane cocked his rifle and wound his window down. "Keep following them."
Alfred’s expression turned sour at his boss’s reply. Katherine was lying right outside the mansion. Sure, she might be dead, but wasn’t she the most loyal to Dane? She held an important role in their syndicate, the only person in this syndicate who was consistent in imposing Dane’s orders while he was away. Not that the rest were traitors, but Katherine’s dedication was on a whole different level.
But now Dane was saying she wasn’t important?
Then again, Alfred understood his boss right now. Katherine was dead and there was nothing they could do. Stopping by to move her body to a more proper place would mean letting the people who killed her escape.
"I’m not going to forgive them," Alfred remarked, remembering the person whom he assumed was responsible for Katherine’s death. "I’ll kill all of them."
Dane’s eyes blazed and then slipped his rifle in the window, opening fire on the sedan ahead of them. The gunfire echoed in the air, but the bullets only hit the concrete ground.
"Damn it!" he cursed, opening fire once again and hit the rear window of the black sedan.
"It’s bulletproof," he remarked. "As expected of him."
Without wasting another second, Dane pulled out his phone to contact more people. Right now, they have three things to worry about. One of them was these people who took Ivy with them, second was the smaller bases they had that were currently being raided, and lastly, the motorcycle rider.
"There are some rats in Sorrento and I want you to take down all of them," Dane spoke the moment the line connected. "See the situation and report back to me. Don’t let these people get away and cancel all the flights today. If you see any suspicious helicopter, shoot it down."
As soon as Dane finished his orders, he ended the call even before the person on the other end of the line finished his sentence. He then rolled up his window, not bothering to shoot the sedan ahead of them because it was simply a mere waste of ammo and energy.
Knowing Dominic, all of his vehicles were bulletproof and engine-modified. Even the ones he used to travel to his office. Considering the destination he came to right now, this shouldn’t surprise him. Even so, because Dane knew Dominic perfectly well, he couldn’t help but face the reality.
Dominic’s chances of escaping were fifty percent.
"Tiger, Dominic, Moose, Bear, and possibly Ram." Dane counted all the people who were in his territory, eyes glinting maliciously. "Their number is small, even if we consider Ram’s people."
"Do they think infiltrating our territory with that number is enough to threaten us?" Alfred hissed, pissed off at their enemies’ audacity.
"Yes." Dane drew a deep breath and closed his eyes momentarily. He couldn’t lose his cool now because if he did, he would highly make a mistake. He had to learn from how he reacted to Moose’s attack.
If Dane had been calm enough at that time, he would’ve dragged Ivy with him. Not that she was his priority at the moment. To be fair, he could simply let her be if she would compromise his plans and well-being. Dane wasn’t like Dragon, who would do anything for a woman. But he couldn’t let these guys leave his territory alive.
"We’ll kill all of them," Dane announced under his breath as he reopened his eyes. This time, he was calmer, but the aura he exuded was darker. "If they struggle, then he shouldn’t blame me for targeting his weakness."
The corner of his mouth curled up into a malicious smirk, eyes glinting malevolently. "After all, there’s nothing that would stop me from getting what I want. Alexander Cafre can attest to what fate lies if one pissed me off."
Alfred gulped, unable to look away from the sedan ahead of them. Yet he could sense the darkening aura from the front passenger seat.
Surely, these people pissed off Dane and woke up the devil within him. Whenever this happened, Alfred could only remember one thing; disaster and grief. Whatever or whoever these people’s weaknesses wouldn’t be safe.
And Alfred was correct.
Dane pulled out his phone once again and placed it in front of his ear. "Our boss told me to check on how the children were doing." His smirk stretched. "I’m sending some people to pick them up — Sir Dominic’s orders."
