Ivy shifted her eyes to the person behind Tiger, who was leaning against the sedan’s rear. "Anyway, why are the two of you together?"

"I know there’s a deep reason that you only came now." Her smile stretched, nodding at him reassuringly. "It’s not like you were late. I think it’s perfect. If you came early, I don’t think it would be that easy since this place was full of people previously."

Tiger knew that, and it was the reason they didn’t come immediately. After all, the purpose of this mission was to save the hostages, not fight to death. If the purpose was the latter, then they wouldn’t wait for the perfect chance. They could just do things just like the old time.

"What?" Ivy gasped while Tiger furrowed his brows, their eyes on Dominic. "You want to kill her?"

"Not want," Dominic corrected calmly, eyes still on Katherine. "We need to."

"Oy," Tiger called. "What the hell, man? Are you driving or not? If you’re not planning to, then I’d go behind the wheel. Stay in the front passenger seat."

Tiger gazed at Ivy and nodded at her, pulling her arm inside the back seat. "Go in."

"But —"

"He’s gone mad. Don’t mind him."

"If we don’t kill her now, it’ll be hard to do so on the road." Dominic marched to the trunk, opening it casually to get a weapon from it. "We can’t just go, knowing she’s on a motorbike. We’ll only put ourselves in danger if we let her be."

Tiger’s face stiffened while Ivy paused in getting in the car, eyes on Dominic.

"Dom," she called quietly. "You... will kill her?"

Dominic snapped his eyes to her and then at Tiger, hearing the revving engine from the distance. "Do you want to do it?" he asked, returning the question to Ivy. When she didn’t reply, he nodded. "I thought so."

"I heard you dislike fighting women," Dominic continued, setting his eyes to the rifle he was casually assembling. "So I won’t ask you. I’d do it."

"Do you think I’d let you get away?!" Katherine yelled once more, revving up her motorbike. Her eyes blazed, staring at the three people standing beside the sedan. "I won’t let you get away from here!"

Katherine pulled up her motorbike until it was standing, her foot on the ground. Without wasting another breath, she glared daggers at Ivy, who rushed inside the back seat, while Tiger ran around to the driver’s seat. Dominic, on the other hand, slammed the trunk closed while carrying a rifle down.

"Haha..." Katherine laughed as she twisted the handle, driving in their direction at full speed. "Do you think I’d let someone like you kill me?! Hah! Dream on!"

Dominic stood motionless, watching the motorbike drive straight at him. He slowly raised the rifle, placing his hand on the trigger, and thought of Dane.

"Meeting you gave me a great idea of what kind of person my assistant for many years was," he muttered, closing one of his eyes, and without further ado, pulled the trigger. Katherine timely made a turn to dodge him, driving in a zigzag to add more difficulty in shooting her.

But alas, after just a few seconds, a squeal escaped her lips as a striking burn went through her shoulder. And Dominic didn’t even blink as he watched her fall off the motorbike.
