Chapter 902: Free

Time stopped for a moment as everyone stared at Leo and Hera with wide eyes. Even Hera had her eyes wide open, frozen on the spot with these soft and warm lips on hers.

Leo must have lost his mind; that’s what everyone thought.

Befriending Hera was one thing, but to kiss her in front of Dragon, he probably wished for death so badly. He was dying in a few hours, but it seemed he wanted to die now!

With shaking eyes, some people present slowly shifted their eyes to Dragon. The moment they did, their breath hitched at the look of surprise on their boss’s face. Even Dragon, who is usually calm and collected, was flabbergasted by Leo’s audacity.

’That’s right.’ Guessing everyone’s thoughts right now, Leo smiled against her lips. ’I already lost my mind.’

Leo slowly pulled his head back, only to see the blank look dominating Hera’s face.

"I know I said sorry before kissing you, but I am not sorry at all," he said, grinning from ear to ear. "I’ve always wanted to do that." — or rather, he wanted to do more than that.

"Leo, you..." Snapping back to her senses, Hera’s mouth fell open as her cheeks turned red.

Did he really just do what he did now? Here? Right in front of Dragon?

Hera’s breath hitched as she sensed the omen emanating from Dragon’s vantage point. Her eyes shook, unable to look away from Leo’s radiant smile. Unlike the dark aura coming from Dragon, Leo’s aura was just as bright as the sun, as if he had no problem whatsoever.

"What nonsense are you saying?" she blurted out, panicking, as Dragon might just put a hole in his head right now. "Leo, what —"

"I like you," Leo confessed, ignoring the reason for her panic. People might assume he had lost his mind, but he knew exactly what he was doing. "You asked me when we first met who you are to me. I am your friend, but to me, you are someone I’ve been in love with for a long time."

His smile stretched, following the storyline Dragon concocted to not implicate her. "Do you think it’s absurd that I’m willing to die for you if I only see you as a friend?"

"Leo Wu..." This time, Dragon’s voice rumbled down his chest. His eyes blazed, hands clenched, barely holding himself back from the urge to kill this man right this instance.

"I love you, Hera. That’s why I don’t blame you for anything," Leo continued, completely ignoring Dragon. "I love you and while I’m being honest, I want to be with you."

Meanwhile, everyone who was around couldn’t help but feel scared for Leo. How could this man love death so much!? Couldn’t he really wait for it? Why must he rush it? Not only did he kiss Hera in front of Dragon, but he also confessed his love for her!

With this unexpected turn, everyone couldn’t help but steal a look at Dragon. Their gulps echoed in their ears.

This man is insane,’ thought someone around the area. ’How could he insult Dragon like this in front of everybody?’

Many in the underground were ruthless and fearless. This was not the first time someone insulted Dragon; there were many times people would curse him. However, what everyone knew was that those arrogant people wouldn’t have the balls to speak badly of him in front of him. Unless, of course, they realized no amount of begging could save them. Thus, people like those would always curse him to death.

But this one was different.

He didn’t curse Dragon or spit on him, but this was worse. Leo touched what was Dragon’s. And it wasn’t just any sort of property, but Hera! The woman whose every word was akin to Dragon’s bible.

Even now, everyone couldn’t believe this situation unfolding right in front of everybody’s eyes.

Dragon wouldn’t let this slide for sure.

"Heh." Leo let out a shallow chuckle, leaning his face closer. "Unfortunately, you’re married. But if by chance I survive this predicament and get better, should we have an affair? It’s not moral, but I don’t mind being the third party."

When her lips parted, he placed a finger on it.

"Don’t answer me now," he said playfully. "I’ll hear your answer when I get back."

"Leo Wu!" Dragon snapped, grabbing him by the collar. His eyes blazed as he pulled Leo to him. "You probably have a death wish, huh?"

Leo blinked, unbothered by the tightening grip on his collar. He stared at the flustered look on Dragon, chuckling as it was truly a sight worth remembering. The sight of it brought this satisfied smile to Leo, pleased that his action somehow redeemed the pride he had lost as a man.

"What, Frank?" Leo feigned innocence like a total douchebag. "Don’t tell me you’re going to beat a sick person to death in front of Hera? Wouldn’t that make you a scumbag?"

"You —"

"I was serious," Leo said while peeling Dragon’s fingers from his collar. "I’m going to ask her that same question once I return. So, if I were you, treat her well. Live your life trying to please her because if you don’t, I’m going to use it to my advantage."

When Leo said his piece, he was able to successfully take Dragon’s fingers from him. Stepping back, he smirked at Dragon. After being in here, Leo learned a thing or two about Dragon. He painted himself as an immaculate husband. Therefore, he wouldn’t just beat Leo in front of Hera to keep that image.

"Thank you for everything." Leo tapped Dragon’s shoulder and retrieved his hand shortly. "I really appreciate your help. Now I can leave with a smile on my face."

With that being said, Leo turned on his heel to walk away. His smile broadened as he took a step away, almost chuckling as he took the short stairs to the driveway.

’Now, this is a way to bid him goodbye,’he thought, grinning from ear to ear as if he had forgotten what sort of hell he was about to go. ’I can now say I did my best to survive. He might kill me, but he won’t be able to forget this helplessness and disrespect.’
