Chapter 806: I am Heaven Liu
"Hmm..." Primo rubbed his chin as he stared at the laptop screen. "Ah. Now I see what she was up to. That damn woman is surely pushing me off the cliff."
Primo clicked his tongue in irritation. He had spent the entire night reading through the documents Heaven had left him to review. He even went through the files and didn’t notice it was already morning until everything around the cabin looked brighter.
"Ugh... she’s giving me a headache." He pinched the bridge of his nose before the corners of his lips stretched from ear to ear. When he peeked at the laptop, a glint flickered across his eyes. "But that damn motherfucker... no wonder I couldn’t find him anymore."
His eyes shone with malevolence. After reading everything through, Primo learned a lot of things to the point he started questioning his role in the underground. Primo had always known he was a prominent figure in the underground, but surely, those guys up there were playing a different game.
"Damn." He leaned back against the wooden chair, making it squeak. "Now, things are getting interesting."
A smile graced his lips, stretching his limbs to go for another round of garnering information. Primo hadn’t slept for an entire night, but even so, he didn’t feel like sleeping. Especially with all the information he had absorbed and getting a grasp of Heaven’s game plan.
"Just who the hell is this Heaven Liu and how in the damn world did she come up with all of this?" he murmured after stretching his fingers. When he straightened his back and faced the laptop, he cleared his throat and grinned.
"Fine," he said. "I’ll be the culprit of that Hera’s fake comeback."

"So you’re saying Deborah didn’t come in here?" Hera inquired, sitting across from Leo in the garden’s pavilion.
"As I said, I didn’t see that woman aside from that time she came into my room in the middle of the night," Leo grumbled, irritated that Hera had been asking the same question for the last fifteen minutes. "Didn’t you say she already retired? Why would she be back here? It’s not like this place is a memorable workplace. No one wants to come back to hell unless she’s truly that evil."
Hera bit her lower lip as she looked away, pondering. "Does that mean she was caught?" she shook her head to get rid of the thought. "No, that’s not it. That’s impossible. If she was caught, then I would’ve heard about it."
"What do you mean, she was caught?" Leo inquired, snapping Hera back to her senses. "Is there something going on, Hera?"
"That’s none of your business," Hera huffed. "Leo, when you are asked, just answer. If not, then don’t pry. It’s best if you don’t do anything that will put you in danger."
"I’m already in danger," he argued. "You put me in danger, Hera. And until now, I still don’t understand why you called me that night."
"It’s a mistake."
"Is it, really?" Leo doubted. "At first, I also thought you had misdialed someone else. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized it might not be the case. From the tone of your voice, it sounds like you knew exactly who you were calling that night. It wasn’t a mistake, was it?"
Hera opened and closed her mouth, evaluating the conviction in his eyes. "It was a mistake," she asserted. "Why do you think I’d call you for help when we don’t know each other?"
"That’s a question you can only answer, Hera," he replied quietly. "Why would you call someone for help when we don’t even know each other?"
Hera clasped her hands on her lap, unable to look away from him. She could feel her heart thudding against her chest, scared that Leo was slowly piecing everything together. She could just tell him the truth, so he stopped poking his nose where it didn’t belong, but knowing him, Leo was already putting everything at stake. Whether he does nothing or something wouldn’t matter. Because at the end of the day, his situation remained the same.
"Will you believe me when I say we... know each other?" she blurted out with a shaky voice while he furrowed his brows.
"How did we know each other?" he replied, curious. "I would understand if you know me since the entire nation knows who I am because of my line of work. But... I don’t recall ever seeing or interacting with you all my life."
Leo paused as he assessed her stunning face. "I’m not trying to flatter you, but you have a face that is hard to forget."
"I know." Hera let out a deep exhale as she looked down, clasping her hands on her lap nervously. "Leo, I will tell you everything if you promise me two things."
"What are those two things?"
"First is that you’d keep an open mind. I’m not telling you to believe everything I say outright," she started, lifting her gaze back to him.
Leo pondered while studying the solemnness in her eyes. He pressed his lips tightly before he huffed. "I’ll try my best," he said. "Though I hope that whatever you’re going to say is real. Please, Hera. I think at this point, I deserve to know the truth. After all, it’s beneficial for me if I tell Dragon you’re deceiving everyone."
"You adapted quite fast," she quipped, only to see him shrug.
"I have to survive, Hera Cruel. No matter what, I have to do what I need to do to survive," he justified. "You put me in this situation, so I don’t see the reason I shouldn’t drop this pretense."
"Sure. Keep that argument in mind for reassurance."
"What’s the other one?" he asked before they completely strayed from their topic.
"The other one is that you will promise me you will stop going deeper into this problem," she requested. "Just stay in your lane and do what’s best for you. Stop poking your nose into my business and Dragon’s. If you promise me that, then I’ll tell you everything."
Leo hesitated for a second but eventually nodded. "Can you tell me help will come?"
"Not right now, but it will."
"Can you promise me I will stay alive until then?"
"I don’t mind dying, but not you. So, yes. With everything I could, I will make sure you survive until then."
"Then I agree." He nodded without a second hesitation, thinking about her sentiments rooted in her guilt. "Now, tell me. How did we know each other."
There was a moment of silence between the two of them, staring at each other in silence. When her lips parted, her voice escaped almost like a whisper.
"I am Heaven Liu..."
