Chapter 801: A sworn brother, huh?
When Primo returned to the cabin, he immediately set to cleaning and tidying it up. It seemed as if Heaven had anticipated his inclination toward cleanliness, as the idea of staying in a grimy cabin for even a few days troubled him. Despite his reluctance, he had no choice but to embark on a cleaning spree. Luckily, the kitchen held various cleaning tools and materials, almost as if Heaven had prepped everything for his arrival.
With this in mind, Primo wasted no time and devoted his entire day to making the cabin as livable as possible. Time slipped away unnoticed as he scrubbed floors and walls, momentarily forgetting other pressing matters, as cleaning demanded his complete focus.
Sitting on an old wooden chair in the kitchen, Primo surveyed the cabin. A sigh of relief escaped him, a satisfied smile curling his lips at the noticeable improvement.
"Just a bit more..." he murmured, eyeing the little holes in the walls and the roof. "Or perhaps a little more scrubbing."
He shook his head, a hint of self-reproach tugging at him. "What am I even saying?" His smile vanished, replaced by a click of annoyance as he marched to the fridge for a well-deserved beer.
After a quick sip, he grimaced and huffed, stealing a final glance around the cabin before his gaze settled on the study door. Primo had already conducted a general cleaning and explored the cabin’s small rooms, where he stumbled upon the files and laptop mentioned by Heaven. However, he hadn’t delved deeply into them as cleaning took precedence, and the chaotic environment hindered his focus.
"Damn Heaven Liu," he muttered, trudging toward the study to retrieve the materials she’d left for him.
The longer Primo lingered in the cabin, the more he realized the extent of Heaven’s meticulous preparation. Despite spending the day cleaning and fixing minor issues, he couldn’t afford idleness. If he did nothing, his mind would drift to a place he had evaded for far too long.
Returning to the kitchen, Primo grabbed the wooden chair with the files and laptop, powered up the device, and then browsed through the folders he brought from the study room.
"Hmm..." he hummed, skimming through the first page—a familiar individual’s profile. "I wonder how she got this guy’s file. He’s quite prominent in the underground."
Since his arrest, Primo has disconnected from the underground world. Nonetheless, during his active days, he kept abreast of its developments. That underground was capricious; today’s formidable figure might vanish by tomorrow.
"Let’s see..." Primo diverted his attention from the papers to the laptop screen, flexing his fingers over the keyboard.
The screen displayed only three icons: O, N, and E. Puzzled, he clicked each, watching them start up.
[Welcome, No One.]
Primo blinked at the greeting that appeared in the middle of the screen. Subsequently, multiple pages filled the screen, inundating him with details, articles, and data—a formidable amount for someone recently released from prison.
"What are these?" He shook off his confusion, determined to methodically review the information to grasp the underground’s current state. "The hell?"

Meanwhile...
"Are you certain he won’t just run away when you left him in that place?" Tiger’s nonchalant voice buzzed in Heaven’s earpiece as she drove home. "He’s a loose cannon. If he says he won’t stay, he won’t. You should know that by now. The guy was smart and if not for Silas, it would take more than just one scheme to catch him."
"Don’t worry. Despite his reluctance to stay in his new lodging, he won’t leave. My worry is he might succumb to sheer boredom and hang himself."
Tiger scoffed. "I don’t know, girl. But if you say so, it’s on you if he escapes."
"Tiger, do you know why Primo assumes others’ identities and behaves like that?" she asked, hearing Tiger hum in contemplation.
"Because he’s nuts?"
"Because he lost his identity long ago and uses others to escape his reality," she answered her own question. "Alexander wasn’t always like this. Initially, he was an idealistic lawyer, fighting injustice. But the very people he sought to bring to justice ruined him."
"That’s unfortunate," Tiger remarked, unsurprised, as many good individuals fell victim to the underground’s malevolence. The ruthless nature of the underground was chilling—people were expendable, making it even more terrifying. Only Hera was different from all the dons in that world. Therefore, her men were loyal even till their last breath. At least, during her prime and not after her death.
"Do you know who changed him to this extent?" she inquired after a pause.
Tiger raised an eyebrow, glancing at his phone. "Who?"
"Dimitri."
"Dimitri?" Tiger reiterated, furrowing his brows. "Do you mean the mafia don Dimitri?"
"No, a different one," she breathed out, a glint flickering in her eyes. "He’s the man who founded Dragon’s organization. And according to my investigation, he’s Frank’s sworn brother."
"Interesting." Tiger nodded in understanding but was a little surprised at this new information.
Dragon lived with them since he was a child. Therefore, they knew who he was friends with since he was a family. Hearing he had a sworn brother that they never heard of was quite surprising in its own way. Not to mention, this was the first time they heard that another person actually founded Dragon’s organization. All along, they thought Dragon started from scratch and took advantage of Hera’s death to recruit some of their former colleagues.
"This guy had no traceable record in the underground. Even Central Intelligence was in the dark about him." Heaven paused, her jaw clenching. "He’s dangerous, Clark. Be cautious."
Tiger glanced at his phone and hummed, ending the call shortly after their brief exchange. He dropped his hand to his side with the phone still in his grip.
"A sworn brother, huh?" he muttered, thinking he also used to be Dragon’s sworn brother in the past. "He trusted a stranger and yet tried to kill a family. What a twisted fuck."
As Tiger idled on the balcony, a voice suddenly reached his ear from behind.
"Tiger?" His thoughts halted as the person’s voice snapped him back to reality. "What are you doing here?"
Tiger’s face twitched as he realized he had overstayed. Forcing a smile, he turned around and faced the person who owned the place he intruded.
Dane Zhang.
