Chapter 798: A blessing to some, a nightmare for others.

[LYON GROUP]

"Sis, what’s that about?" Axel asked, sitting on the chair near Heaven, as her screen made him a little dizzy. "Is that an entry for an audition? But didn’t you say you’ve retired from acting? That’s why you’re not accepting even some endorsements?"

Heaven didn’t respond immediately, even after hearing his queries. Instead, she focused on her computer for a moment before she stopped typing.

"It’s not for an audition, Axel," she replied as she leaned back, turning the swivel chair to face him. "I was trying to scare off some people."

"That sounds dangerous."

"Because it is."

"Sis, who is this Hera Cruel?" he asked. "If my memory served right, you mentioned that name before. And even with that video, you introduced yourself as her before you ran it into some suspicious face-changing program."

Axel blinked as she cocked his head to the side. "Just who is this person, and why are you impersonating her?"

Heaven smiled a short smile as she assessed the curiosity in Axel’s eyes. She already told him the truth once, but he didn’t believe her. Therefore, she was certain he would only assume she was joking if she told him the truth.

"She’s just someone who scares people a lot," she explained, keeping it vague and simple. "Since some people had been pissing me off lately, I just thought of asking for her help to deal with them."

"This doesn’t make sense to me. You don’t go out quite a lot, but still, people piss you off. If there’s anyone who I can think of that could do that, that would be my brother and everyone in the Art Department."

"I’m a little sensitive, and some people just have to breathe to piss me off."

Axel scrunched up his face in dismay. "You’re a bully."

"I won’t argue with that." She shrugged, setting her eyes on the screen. "You can call me a bully since I can be one when I want to."

"Geez." Axel leaned forward, resting his chin on the backrest as he sat with the backrest in front of him. "So, what now?" he asked. "After that video and after sending it to those fools who pissed you off, what will be your next move?"

"I wait."

"Huh?" He furrowed his brows. "What do you mean, you wait? You worked so hard for days and even sacrificed not seeing Basti and Miri. Now you’re saying you will wait? Wait for what?"

"For everyone to do the job for me." The corner of her mouth stretched from ear to ear until her eyes were squinting. "I only released that video to intimidate some, create confusion, or, much better, a diversion."

Axel blinked. "I’m confused."

"Axel, there were some things that couldn’t be fixed immediately," she explained while twisting her chair from left to right. "Sometimes, we need some time because if we rush things, it might only result in more problems than resolution. So, I’m simply doing what I can do at the moment."

"I’m diverting everyone’s attention... or, to be precise, garnering more attention." She shrugged once again. "The good thing about this is that even when I’m doing this, all this attention wasn’t directed to me, but to someone else. It’s a win-win for me!"

Axel cocked his head a little to the side. He understood her, but at the same time, he felt like he didn’t. Perhaps, it was because she hadn’t painted him the entire picture of what she had been dealing with. Even when he asked, he would only get snippets and pieces of it.

"I’m at my wit’s end here," he murmured with a sigh. "Sis, for some reason, I’m growing worried. I feel like you’re putting yourself in danger, and it’s annoying that I don’t even know what kind of danger this is this time. Does my brother know about this?"

"He’s the one who urged me to do this."

"He did?"

"Believe me or not. Even I was surprised he pushed me to do this." Hera reached for the edge of the desk and pulled herself closer. "Anyway, I’m done here for today. You can tell everyone to come into the office like usual, starting tomorrow."

Heaven simply grabbed her jacket on the other chair beside her before she stood up. "Please tell them I really appreciate their help. It was helpful."

"Just what help did they do when they hadn’t even come to the office for days?"

"They didn’t bother me." She grinned. "Anyhow, I gotta run."

"Where are you going?"

"Just... somewhere." Her brows rose briefly. "I have to take advantage of this diversion I painstakingly put together for days."

Heaven marched in his direction and tapped his shoulder. "You should rest early too. I checked some of your work and finished all of them for you. Thank you for trusting me and letting me use this place as my little office."

"What did you say?" Axel turned his head, only to see his sister already walking away. "Sis! What did you say?! Did you just say you finished my work?!"

"You’re welcome." Heaven didn’t look back as she waved, still marching away.

The lines between Axel’s brows deepened before he sprung up from his seat. He didn’t waste time, running to his temporary desk to check the long list of work he had to do to finish in the following days. Much to his surprise, what Heaven said was true. Checking all the revised samples he had to go through, he realized Heaven had already done it all for him. She even went through some contracts and revised them to get a better deal with their next projects.

"Sis..." A thin layer of tears coated his eyes, moved to tears at his sister-in-law’s gesture. "She’s truly an angel, a blessing, a hero without a cape! Goodness!"

Axel turned his head to the entrance and yelled, knowing Heaven hadn’t gotten far away. "Sis! You’re really the best!" His voice was so loud that it successfully reached Heaven, who was already outside the office.

Heaven chuckled as she shook her head. For Axel, she was an angel and a blessing. What he didn’t know was that for some people, she was their worst nightmare.
