Chapter 775: Go crazy
[LYON GROUP: CEO’s OFFICE]
Axel listened intently to Dominic’s voice over the phone, humming in acknowledgment as his brother spoke. "Will she be fine?"
"Don’t worry about her."
"How can I not?" His lips curved downward, a sigh escaping him. "She went to the prison where that guy is held."
Dominic smiled subtly. "You know your sister. She went to see Primo, not Silas. The officers were on high alert, but even if they tried something, she’d manage. You know her capabilities."
"I do." Axel sighed again. "Anyway, I won’t keep you."
"Heading home now?"
"Well, I’m not sure. I still have some papers to work on." Axel glanced at the thin stack on his desk. "With my sister possibly going home alone, I shouldn’t bring this work tonight."
"Understood. Don’t forget to eat. I’m hanging up."
Before Axel could respond, the call ended. Setting the phone down, he smacked his lips and sighed. Earlier, Heaven had left the secret floor without a word. Curious, he tracked her only to find she had left the building entirely. Occupied all day, he could only call Dominic now to inquire about his sister-in-law.
As expected, Dominic knew her whereabouts. She went to see Primo Rossi. Axel couldn’t help but wonder why, but refrained from asking Dominic, knowing he might not share.
"Well, even if she met Silas, it wouldn’t change much." He shrugged, preparing to tackle some work to lighten his workload tomorrow. Just as he leaned forward, his door flew open, making him flinch.
Raising his head, Axel was surprised to see Heaven marching in. "Sis?" he called, confused. "What brings you here?"
"I need your help." Heaven slammed her hand on his desk, leaning in. "Come with me."
"What?" His knitted brows furrowed deeper, a slight tremor in his eyes. "Help you with what?"
"Just come."
"Where?"
"To the secret floor."
Baffled by her request and her unwavering determination, Axel found himself following her, curious about her sudden urgency. On their way to the Intelligence Office, Heaven explained what she needed to be done while he listened to her, stupefied.

[SECRET FLOOR: INTELLIGENCE OFFICE]
"Out!" Axel’s voice reverberated, commanding everyone in the office. "I want everyone to clear their desks in five minutes."
Confused, everyone knitted their brows as the employees exchanged uncertain glances. This office operated round the clock, but now, the current CEO was instructing them to leave.
"CEO Zhu." A man in his mid-thirties approached Axel and Heaven. "We can’t do that."
"And why not?" Axel raised a challenging brow at the department’s chief of operations.
"Because—"
"Because my brother says so?" Axel interjected before the chief could continue. "Chief, I appreciate everyone’s dedication to my brother, but he is no longer the CEO, and you are no longer under his authority."
He held his ground, addressing the man directly. "Tell your people to vacate this place. I won’t repeat myself and don’t make me."
The chief of the secret floor hesitated, his eyes reflecting uncertainty. Meanwhile, Heaven observed quietly from behind her younger brother-in-law. This Intelligence Office and its members were selected by Dominic with Dane’s assistance. Dane’s loyalty remained questionable, and Heaven didn’t want to take any risks.
"None of us will be held accountable if something happens," the chief stated, meeting Axel’s gaze. "We’re just doing our job, CEO Zhu. We hope you understand our reluctance and displeasure at this abrupt order."
"I’ll take full responsibility if anything goes wrong," Axel assured with a nod.
A tense moment lingered as Axel and the chief locked eyes, eventually broken by the latter addressing the team. "We have five minutes to wrap up and secure our work. Clear the office in five minutes."
"Thank you," Axel acknowledged as the chief glanced back at him. "I appreciate it."
"You’re the CEO of this company now, CEO Zhu. If your brother entrusted this company to you, then I have to believe in his decision as well. While I’m displeased with this sudden urgency without a clear explanation, I hope you’ll clarify things in the future."
"Absolutely."
With that, the chief respectfully lowered his head to Axel before attending to his tasks. As the employees hurried to comply with the given time limit, the chief cast a fleeting glance at the woman behind the CEO before retreating to his office.
"That was smooth," Heaven commented, nudging Axel with her elbow. "I knew you could handle it. Good thing I asked for your help."
Axel glanced at her, finding a smug smirk on her face. "I’d be in trouble if you accidentally deleted everything, sis. Why exactly did you need them to leave?"
"Because they’re a nuisance."
"But they’re all intelligent and skilled individuals," he argued calmly, unfazed by the employees working fervently to complete their tasks in a few minutes. "Whatever you need, I’m sure they’d help and make things easier."
"I know. They could make my life easier and more convenient... or a lot harder." Heaven swayed her head, scanning the office before locking eyes with Axel and offering a brief smile. "But if I work alone, I can only blame myself if something goes wrong."
Axel blinked, assessing his sister-in-law’s expression. He let out a deep exhale, shaking his head slightly.
"I don’t understand you sometimes," he murmured, looking away. "Or most of the time. Can I do some work here as well? I’d be bored if I stayed in my office all night."
Heaven considered for a moment before nodding. "Sure. Just don’t disturb me, or I’ll kick you out."
"I should be saying that to you." He frowned, but she didn’t offer a rebuttal.
They stood at the end of the office, observing everyone typing furiously on their keyboards and clicking their mouse as if racing against time. A minute before the five-minute mark, everyone began packing up and vacating their desks one by one until the vast office was empty.
"So, what’s next?" Axel asked as soon as the chief left, turning to Heaven. "What are you planning now that everyone’s gone?"
Heaven shot him a glance. "Go crazy," she remarked before striding toward a specific desk—the main control station at the front of the office. Axel stayed put, watching his sister-in-law take a seat at the central control and slowly shifting his gaze to the large monitor in front of her.
"What’s that?" he whispered as he saw a black scythe logo in the middle against a dark backdrop. He squinted as a text appeared, accompanied by a seductive female voice.
