Chapter 721: Live at the moment

"Trust me, Ivy Wei. You can, and you will, willingly and happily."

Tiger clutched the little blanket covering his lower body as he sat up. He then flung his legs out of the bed, pushing himself up, standing shamelessly without any clothes on. Meanwhile, Ivy pressed her lips as she looked away slightly when her eyes fell on his phallus.

’I didn’t know it was that huge. How did it even fit? No wonder it hurt so much,’ she thought, peeking at him, only to see him wink at her. ’Goodness.’

"Now you know why I’m this confident," he humored with a smug grin. "All my confidence comes from my soldier."

"Goodness," she murmured while massaging her nape, hearing him laugh proudly.

When Tiger turned around and walked away, her brows rose. His hard muscles covered his body with deep body cuts in between them. But that wasn’t what truly caught her eyes. She stared at his broad back, inked from every corner, with tattoos connected to his biceps. She had seen his chest, so she was certain his tattoos stretched to both of his firm chests. This was the first time she had seen him naked with proper lights on, so it surprised her a bit.

As he walked away, his tattoos, which looked like the face of a demon skeleton, appeared more lifelike. It was as though its mouth was talking as he stretched his body while walking. However, before she could delve deeper into the matter, she furrowed her brows.

"Where are you going?!" she raised her voice to get his attention. "That’s not the way out!"

"Bathroom." Tiger stopped in front of the bathroom and looked back at her. "I’m going to brush my teeth."

"Oh... of course, you should do that first." Ivy nodded in understanding while watching him enter the bathroom. She blinked and blinked, staring at the door not far away from her bed. Deep lines resurfaced between her brows as she cocked her head to the side.

"Whose toothbrush are you going to use?" she asked, yelling. Did he bring a toothbrush last night?

"Yours!"

"No!" The moment she heard his answer, Ivy jumped from her spot. Sadly, she stopped as she winced, realizing her legs were useless right now. "Goodness. Why is he using other people’s toothbrushes?"

"We already kissed until our lips were swelling, and don’t make me start with what my mouth explored last night." Coming from the bathroom was Tiger’s faint voice. "I’ll just brush my teeth so I can kiss you again. Be patient."

This time, Ivy’s face turned red because she held her breath for too long. She looked at the bathroom door with horror.

What made him think she was being impatient?

Ivy pulled the blanket and covered her body again. She looked around, only to catch the box of condoms on the bedside. There was also a bin next to it, causing her face to twitch.

"Don’t tell me he went out last night just to buy those?" She looked back at the bathroom door and winced. "Just how many times does he plan to do it today?"

The mere thought of numbers scared her one way or another. Now that she was all awake, Ivy thought he had made the right call to call her assistant. Even if she wanted to, she couldn’t get out of bed. And also, it seemed she was running a fever.

’I’ll just tell him I can’t,’ she told herself as she laid down to rest her sore muscles. ’I’m sure he will understand.’

As Ivy rolled to her side and hid her body with the thick blanket, leaving her face to breathe, a subtle smile appeared on her face. Her eyes softened, thinking he wanted to spend the rest of his day with her.

’I thought he’d feel repulsed at the thought of spending the rest of the day with me.’A short giggle escaped her stretched lips. ’But I guess I was just overthinking things.’

Tiger only planned to brush his teeth and wash his face. But in the end, he took a shower until he smelled just as nice as her. Well, he used the same body wash as hers.

’Good thing I had a shower yesterday,’ he thought as he trudged outside the bathroom with only a bathrobe. He dried his hair with a small towel, ruffling it on his head. When he returned to the bedroom, his eyes instantly searched for Ivy.

The corner of his mouth curled up, seeing the giant bump on the bed. He shook his head and continued to dry his hair while marching toward the bed. He stood on the side, tilting his head to see her face.

"Sleeping?" he asked, still ruffling the small towel on his head.

"My entire body is sore." Ivy slowly opened her eyes, only to see the genuine curiosity in his eyes. But she couldn’t help but notice her bathrobe that he was now using and the smell of her body wash from him. Nevermind.

"I think I’m running a fever, and I’m hungry."

"Oh?" His brows rose as he nodded. "I’ll make you breakfast. It’ll be quick."

"You can cook?"

Tiger chuckled as he smiled. "I’m sorry. Let me rephrase that. I’ll reheat the ones I bought early this morning."

"Just what time did you wake up?"

"Hehe. Wrong question. You should’ve asked just what time I fell asleep." Tiger shook his head as he tossed the small towel to her. "Put that on your forehead. I’ll be back."

That said, Tiger walked away from the bedroom to make her something to eat. Meanwhile, Ivy propped her elbow against the mattress as she inclined. She gazed at the door, catching him closing it from behind him.

"I’d be surprised if he can cook as well," she mumbled to herself, arching a brow as she glanced at the towel he used to dry his hair. Ivy slowly reached for it. The towel was slightly damp, but not wet enough to put on her forehead.

"Doesn’t he know how to take care of a sick person?" she wondered as she folded the small towel. Her lips curved into a wide smile, placing the folded towel on her forehead. "How can he act like he wouldn’t bat an eye even if the world crumbled and then care at the same time?"

Even so, his gesture filled her heart with nothing but warmth. It didn’t even cross her mind what sort of relationship this was. Ivy was simply happy and content to live in the moment.
