Heaven’s expression turned cold as she ran her tongue across her inner cheeks, annoyed. "Joker, are you drunk?"

She didn’t wait to hear Joker’s nonsense as she ended the call. She shook her head and looked at her phone in dismay.

"I already blocked him with this device. How in the world did he get through?" she grumbled, tossing her phone to the side. "I should work on my defense system more. That guy is persistent."

Heaven didn’t mind that phone call anymore as she had already thought of a solution to fix the problem. When Joker accepted that she was Hera, he stopped making sense. All he did was bug her and blame her for his heartache. He even stopped working for Dominic unofficially because the man had stopped functioning altogether. Fortunately, Gray was there to assist Dominic with any technical support.

Joker had been quite useless, after all. Wolf could vouch for that.

As Heaven cleaned up her desk, a faint knock from the entrance reached her ears. She perked up to see Axel leaning against the entrance with a charming smile on his face.

"Are you done?" he asked with his head tilted to the side. "I’ll drive you home."

"We live in the same house," she remarked as she picked up her things. Seeing that she was bringing a lot of work home, Axel rushed to her and took the papers from her hand without waiting for her to ask for help.

"Well, thank you." Heaven smiled. "Have you been here all along?"

"Nope. I just arrived when you ended that phone call. Is everything alright?"

"Yep. Everything is alright," she answered as they started walking away from the office. "How about you? You’re a little early today."

"More like you’re late. You always clock out on time."

"How did you know I was still here?"

Axel looked at his sister-in-law with a knowing expression as they walked beside each other. "If you don’t know yet, I’m currently the CEO of this company."

"Right." She rolled her eyes and chuckled.

"Also, my big brother asked me to drive you home. It seemed he’ll be home a little late."

"Yeah, I heard."

The two chatted casually as they left the art department. Axel carried her things except for her bag while Heaven entertained her little brother-in-law. It wasn’t rare for them to go home together. After all, Dominic would not always fetch her. Axel and Heaven worked in the same place, so it wasn’t surprising that they would often go home together. Although there were times Axel had to stay because of work.

"You could’ve waited for me in the parking lot," she said while squinting her eyes. "What if someone sees us?"

"No one will see us because when I was on my way here, I made sure the hallway was empty. And even if I bump into someone, I’d just tell them I was inspecting the building." He shrugged before he pondered about it for a moment. "Wait, a minute. I don’t need to explain myself if someone sees me walking around here."

"I just don’t want another rumor to spread."

"Can’t you just say our real relationship? I’m sure there were more perks if the truth is out."

"I can, but I don’t want to."

"But why?"

"Because that takes all the fun out of it!"

Axel scrunched up his face in dismay. "Whatever. Anyway, should we watch a movie together? I got the tickets for the last film — it’s its last week in the cinema. Tiger actually had a ton of them."

"No. I told you not to watch it."

"You said not to watch it without you. That’s why I’m inviting you!"

"That means you better throw those tickets because I’m not watching it."

"But why?!"

"Because I don’t want to!"

The two continued chatting as they headed to the private lift for the higher-ups. Little did they know that, even though they didn’t see anyone on the way, two people had still seen them together.
