"Don’t look at me like that, Dom," Heaven uttered emotionlessly, doing her quick makeup in the front passenger seat while her husband drove her to the company. "Blame the human’s primal instinct. My husband is temptation incarnate. Can you blame me?"

Dominic chuckled as he glanced at her before setting his eyes on the road. "You should admit that the last one was hot."

Heaven rolled her eyes as she stopped applying her sunscreen, casting him a look. Dominic arched a brow, observing her from the corner of his eye.

"Fine," she said, setting her eyes on the mirror. "That was hot and amazing, but then, I’m late."

"It’s not like Mr. Yang will kill you."

"Seriously?" She looked back at him with a dead expression. "Mr. Yang won’t kill me, but he’ll give me an earful. He won’t stop the entire day. Same thing."

"Fine. Do you need me to pull some strings?"

"Nope. I was actually considering that, but pulling some strings will be bad for your reputation." Once she was done with her simple light makeup, Heaven placed the lipstick in her purse. "With Miracle." He cocked his head back, casting her a quick look. "Don’t worry. They’ve all been on their best behavior since a long time ago. They prioritize our children’s safety before ours."

"Good." Heaven smiled at him in satisfaction before a brief silence took over the journey.

The couple would once in a while talk about anything that they planned for the day. As usual, Heaven would just go to the office and work while Dominic would have to visit a few places for his campaign. Heaven could check the time once in a while. She stopped caring about the time when it was a minute past nine, and they were still on the road.

Soon, they reached the company.

"I’ll pick you up later," said Dominic while Heaven was unbuckling her seat. "Same time?"

When Heaven freed herself and grabbed her things, she faced her husband squarely. "Same time," she said with a smile, leaning over to give him a kiss. Dominic met her halfway, but this time, he didn’t pull any of his tricks for her to stay with him longer.

"Take care," he said, earning a short hum from her.

"You too. See you later."

With that being said, Heaven stepped outside of the front passenger seat. She glanced at her wristwatch as she marched toward the entrance from the parking space. Her face crumpled in dismay. She was thirty minutes late.

’Damn it!’ she cursed inwardly. ’Is he still reading those books? He’d become better and more irresistible!’

Although Dominic and Heaven were sexually active, she could tell that Dominic was getting better than he was the last. It was as if the man had just kept evolving. Not that she had to complain about it, but now it was affecting her work.

’I want to pray for him to stop being so hot and horny, but damn, he’s hot! That one in the bathroom was amazing! We should do it again later.’

Heaven hurried to get into the building, torn between admiring Dominic’s performance or how this was now affecting her work. Well, this was just a one-time thing. This wouldn’t happen again, right?

What Heaven didn’t know was that a colleague from the art department was also late. And that same employee was in the parking space, catching Heaven getting out of a luxury car.

"Pepsi?" the employee furrowed her brows, fixing her eyeglasses as she followed Heaven’s figure with her eyes. She then set her eyes back to the car’s bumper where Heaven got out, catching a silhouette of a man’s back.

When Heaven arrived, she only dropped her things on her desk in the corner before heading to the meeting room. As expected, she was late. However, Mr. Yang didn’t scold her immediately. He only gave her a glare, but that glare already spoke a lot.

You’re dead. That was the literal translation of Mr. Yang’s look.

Heaven was right. The second the meeting ended, Mr. Yang told her to stay behind. He scolded her for the next twenty minutes before letting her go from his wrath.

’Now, that’s an earful,’she thought as she dragged her feet from Mr. Yang’s open office. As she sauntered back to her seat, her brows rose. "Huh?"

Heaven glanced at her colleagues, only to catch them looking away from her. She blinked, turning her head to the other side.

’What’s up with them?’she wondered to herself, shaking her head before resuming her steps. As she did so, she could feel her colleague staring at her, but this time, she pretended not to notice. When she reached her desk, she turned around once more, but everyone looked away or pretended to do something else. One colleague was even reading a document upside down.

’Did I do something wrong?’she wondered to herself but didn’t dwell on it as she went on with her day.

Little did she know, a brewing rumor about her and an illicit affair with a wealthy man was already spreading.
