Chapter 663: I’m saying this as a man to another.
Heaven and Dominic danced slowly to the music with their hands tangled and bodies close to each other. Candles lit up the ward, making it appear more romantic than it should appear. When Heaven arrived after sending off Wolf and running some more errands, she arrived in this romantic setting. Even though it confused her a little, she still had an early dinner with him and now they were slow dancing in the middle of the ward.
"I’m so happy you’ve woken up," she whispered, resting her head on his shoulder as they slowly swayed together. "I was worried, you know?"
The corner of his lips curled up as he chuckled. "I’m also glad to be out of a coma." He leaned the side of his head against her, squeezing her hand mildly that he held on their side.
"I heard you sent off Wolf today?" he asked. "How was it?"
"I don’t want to think about it, but it’s overall a good one."
"I see. And Tiger? Wasn’t it weird to be with him?"
Heaven didn’t answer immediately as she quickly recalled the trip home. "How I wish it were just awkward."
"So, he told you, huh?"
"He did." She hummed before her brows rose. She slowly drew her head back to look at him. "Darling, how did you know he accepts me without making a huge fuss about it?"
"Well, let’s just say he came to me."
"When?"
"Yesterday? When you were with the kids." Dominic smiled, stopping in dancing as he looked at her in the eye. "He told me of what you said."
"And?"
"I was honest. I believe he is your brother, so I had to talk to him properly. Not as boss and subordinate, but as my brother-in-law."
"He didn’t threaten you, did he?" Upon hearing that Tiger had come to him a day before, Heaven couldn’t help but check him from head to toe. "Did he do anything?"
"Haha. We just talked." Dominic cupped her face to get her attention, raising his brows as he lowered his head a bit. "He’s a lovely brother and I don’t understand why you didn’t tell him before anyone. Hera, I think you owe him an apology for not telling him immediately."
"No."
His smile stretched as another wave of chuckle slipped past his closed lips. "I guess he doesn’t need that as well."
"Did he say something to you?" she asked curiously. "Just in case he said something silly, don’t believe him."
"Haha." Dominic placed his hand on her back, pulling her closer as he swayed once again. "He didn’t say anything like that, silly. I just think Tiger is truly a man worthy of another man’s admiration."
Her brows rose suspiciously but didn’t dwell on it. Instead, she dropped the topic as she wanted to enjoy the date. Meanwhile, Dominic’s eyes were soft as he recalled the occurrence last night.

[Short Flashback]
"Is it true?" Tiger sat on the chair beside the hospital bed where Dominic was reclining. "You’ve known she is Hera all along?"
"I didn’t know about it until after that night of Basti’s abduction." Dominic kept his response short and honest. "Just like you and everyone else, I couldn’t believe it. Heaven Liu and I didn’t get along, considering we started on the wrong foot. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean I want her dead."
A bitter glint flickered across his eyes as he offered Tiger a subtle smile. "After hearing the wife I’ve known all along is replaced with another person’s soul changes everything."
"Hah..." Tiger let out a dry laugh, gazing down as he bent over, resting his arms on his spread legs. "When was this?"
"About a year ago. It’s around that time she suddenly changed as if someone pressed a switch." Dominic shrugged. "Initially, I also thought she simply got some enlightenment. But over time, I realized it’s not as simple as that."
He took a deliberate pause, staring at Tiger, who had his eyes cast down. "You’re her brother. Her family. Compared to me, you should know her better."
Tiger slowly lifted his head to meet Dominic’s pair of sincere eyes. He ran his tongue across his inner cheek, but before he could say anything, Dominic continued.
"Does she really need to be in Hera Cruel’s body to be Hera Cruel?" Dominic cocked his head to the side. "I don’t want to say it, but deep in my heart, even if she occupies another person’s body, I’d recognize my wife. Though no one can explain what and how it happened, I’m just deeply glad to have met her."
Tiger pressed his lips into a thin line, keeping his silence. His eyes, however, didn’t leave Dominic while deep in thought. That was true. Hera didn’t need to be in her original body to be Hera. She would still be her, even if she was in a man’s or a child’s body.
"Do you know," he spoke after a momentary silence, smiling subtly. "If you met her before, you’d never think she would have such a stupid dream. She used to dream of marrying the man she loved and having children. She didn’t get that as Hera, though. It’s impossible for her. No man would love her genuinely in that way, not because she is hard to love, but because of what her name means."
He paused as he sighed. "Do you love her?"
"Yes." Dominic’s answer was quick without a second hesitation. "Without a shadow of doubt."
"More than your own life? Can you confidently say that if I tell you, she might be the most beautiful flower you’d ever see, but the most poisonous one?" Tiger paused, letting Dominic process his words. "You saw Dragon. Things can be ugly from this moment on, and you might see that her beauty can’t overcome how lethal she is."
"I think the sight of the rooftop and that rescue night is enough for me to know what sort of person my wife truly is."
Tiger chuckled as he rocked his head. "Make sense." Another sigh slipped past his nostrils as he refocused on Dominic.
"Dominic Zhu, if you’re having the slightest doubt about her, then I suggest you divorce right now. I know you’re my current employer. However, my loyalty isn’t in your hands. I’m saying this as a man to another; this is your only chance. Because if you don’t take advantage of my words, I’ll make sure once you hurt her, you’ll realize I’ve been kind and patient all this time. Though I think you fully understand, there’s also Princess and Bear and everyone who will stand with her if you hurt her." Tiger planted his hands on his legs as he pushed himself up. "I’ve heard enough. It’s too bad that I can’t ask her to come home so you can do an official courtship, but I’m always watching you."
With that being said, Tiger lowered his head a little before turning on his heel. He didn’t say anything nor did he look back as he marched away. Meanwhile, Dominic stared at Tiger’s back, watching the latter cross the threshold and close the door behind him.
"At this point, I can’t help but be grateful I didn’t meet her as Hera Cruel," he mumbled to himself, smiling subtly. "She’s already fearsome herself, but the people around her only make it worse."
