Chapter 636: [Bonus Chapter]I think another party is here tonight.
"Kyaaah!!"
Ivy couldn’t help but scream upon seeing the gruesome sight of the suite. She covered her gaping mouth, wide-eyed. Her eyes shook as she raised them at the man standing in the middle of the swarm of corpses around and in the entryway.
Dane, on the other hand, didn’t scream. However, he couldn’t help but hold his breath as he gazed at the corpses on the floor with wide eyes. This was crazy. He already saw how Tiger fought fearlessly and, at some point, Dane felt amazed at how he bickered with him in the past without sharing these enemies’ fate.
But this... was more like a one-sided fight. It was a massacre. What made it even more horrifying was that these now-dead enemies were only up against one person.
"What are you two doing?" Tiger’s annoyed voice snapped them back to their trance, making the two stare at him blankly. "Didn’t you hear me? We have to go. I still need to find Mr. Zhu."
"Uh, right." Dane cleared his throat, nodding. He then turned his head to Ivy. "Miss Wei, are you going to go with us?"
"Are you serious? Of course, I am!" Ivy exclaimed. "I can’t just stay here. Not when these guys... are here."
"If that’s settled, then let’s go." Tiger didn’t waste a second as he turned on his heel, walking over the corpses on the way. Meanwhile, Dane assisted Ivy or maybe he also needed her assistance as they walked over human corpses.
Dane and Ivy were tiptoeing, holding their breaths and as much as possible, avoiding making contact with the dead. This was not a normal sight to behold and even though it was just their first time, they were sure of one thing. This was a horrifying memory and they would surely need some therapy sessions if they ever survived the night.
Even so, the thought might have not crossed their minds yet, but their hearts ironically felt relieved. At least it was not their dead body that was loitering on the ground. When the two managed to get out of the suite where Tiger was waiting for them, they winced at some people who, unfortunately, died outside.
"Let’s go!" Tiger just glanced at the two from head to toe once before prompting them to get going.
"Where are we going?" Panicking, Ivy followed him and stayed a step behind. She looked back once more, biting her lips at the gruesome sight that could be called less gruesome compared to the sight in the suite.
"We need to leave this place," said Tiger, eyes ahead. "Miss Wei, your family owns this place. Any idea if there’s a spare control room on this floor?"
"Huh?"
"I can’t go down to the main control room. It’ll take me some time and I can’t afford to waste so much time. Not to mention, you and Mr. Zhang are with me," Tiger explained, keeping it short and precise. "I need to know where Mr. Zhu went."
"Uh..." For a moment, her brain buffered as she felt like she couldn’t absorb new information now. Thankfully, Dane was already a pro at working under pressure.
"He’s with Silas!" Dane answered almost enthusiastically, casting Ivy a quick look. "Miss Wei mentioned being taken hostage earlier by Silas, but she managed to escape him."
Tiger paused and looked back at him. "Where, Miss Wei?"
"In - in - in the emergency staircase," Ivy stuttered, confused and not at the same time. "They were on the emergency staircase going up. I think they’re headed to the rooftop!"
As she spoke more, she found her lost clarity. "Right. I think they’re going to the rooftop. From what I know, a representative from the Lyon Group booked the helipad tonight."
"That’s impossible. We didn’t need the helipad for anything." Dane shook his head, growing calmer by the minute. He then set his eyes on Tiger. "We didn’t book anything like that."
Tiger took a deep breath and then breathed it out heavily. His eyes darted between the two, nodding.
"Stay close and also, just pick up any weapon for your own protection," he remarked as he turned around, marching through the hallway with large steps. "Mr. Zhang, I really need you tonight. Look after her and stop screaming like a little girl."
A glint flickered across his eyes as they sharpened. "I think another party is here tonight."

[EMERGENCY STAIRCASE]
Dominic, Butler Fu, and Bear rushed to the rooftop together. Knowing Silas was injured, they were sure they would catch up to him in no time. After all, Silas also stopped shooting at them. Therefore, nothing was stopping them anymore.
However, when they reached the floor below the rooftop, the three of them halted. Dominic’s pupils slowly dilated, holding his breath, eyes on the two people on the stair landing above them.
"Madam..."
"Grandma..." Dominic whispered, staring at Grandma Zhu and Silas standing behind the old madam.
Silas was holding Grandma Zhu by the neck, his rifle aimed at her temple. He was sneering maliciously, eyes glinting with wickedness.
"Hah ha hahaha!" After a moment of nothing but silence, Silas let out a peal of laughter that was enough to make one’s skin crawl. "Oh, look at your faces. I thought I’d run out of luck, but I guess the gods were on my side. Who would’ve thought, right?"
Although Silas’s complexion was already pale and he was still breaking out in cold sweats, this situation gave him courage.
"Drop all your weapons," he commanded with a hiss. "I said, drop your weapons or I’ll shoot her! I’m shot anyway, so I might as well kill her and take her with me in hell!"
"Silas Zhu!" Butler Fu’s voice thundered, but Dominic raised his hand and planted it on his chest.
"Drop your weapon," said Dominic, eyes still on Silas. "He’ll do it for sure."
Butler Fu’s face crumpled, glaring at Silas angrily. Even so, they slowly went to their knees to drop their weapon.
"You too!" Silas yelled, eyes on Bear. "Drop your weapon."
"I have none at the moment."
"I said —!" Just as Silas was about to repeat his orders, a loud explosion on the rooftop shook the entire building. Butler Fu clung to the railing while Dominic fell back, only for Bear to catch him as the latter was standing behind him. But when Dominic looked back at Bear, the man was looking up at the ceiling.
"Boss," he whispered, only for Dominic to realize Heaven was already on the rooftop where the loud explosion happened.
