This time the selections were a mix of different types of abilities.

Lukas didn’t have much use for the SS Healer ability.

The A Level abilities were too weak compared to the SSS Level Ice ability.

And the battles he had had so far made him realize that having an elemental ability allowed him to be very versatile with it.

He could use the SSS Level Ice ability offensively, to deal out long-distance attacks like shooting icicles at enemies from afar.

And defensively, he could conjure up an ice wall to protect himself.

With that in mind, more information came into Lukas’s mind about the SSS Level Ice Ability.

Lukas thought ’Yes’ silently in his mind.

A rush of energy entered his body, rejuvenating him.

But the energy didn’t stop even after Lukas felt as good as new.

It kept going, he twitched as his muscles started to be imbued with this energy.

Slowly, the energy made his muscles increase in strength and his skin also slowly toughened up.

Knowledge about the usage of the SSS Level Ice ability also filled his mind.

When it was all over, Lukas took a breath as he felt the abundance of energy inside him.

Lukas was now twice as strong as he was before the level up.

He began to ponder whether he could take on Riley in his current state.

From Mandy’s briefing, he knew that awakened could become more powerful with the demonic beast cores.

Fighting against the Skeleton Team and fighting against Pak Yun had been on another level.

When he visits the Awakened Center again, he would like to ask her whether there are any classifications among the SSS Level awakened.

Lukas looked down at the body of Pak Soon Hyun and that reminded him that there was still work to be done.

The temperature in the surroundings dropped as he lifted his hands.

White frost appeared surrounding his hands and slowly it became ice that reached down onto the body of Pak Soon Hyun.

The ice didn’t stop, and it extended towards Pak Yun’s body.

It engulfed the bodies within a moment and froze them.

Lukas then punched down at Pak Soon Hyun’s body.

The body which had been hardened after being frozen, broke into pieces.

Lukas didn’t stop and stomped onto the large pieces of the frozen body.

He also proceeded to do the same to Pak Yun’s body after he was done with Pak Soon Hyun.

And when the freeze was gone, the demonic beasts would do the rest to clear it up.

Achoo!

Shiba sneezed from the cold, and it shook its head at Lukas.

Lukas walked over to Shiba and patted its head.

"Thanks for the help, buddy. Now, we shall get back and have a sumptuous meal together." He said and Shiba jumped in joy when it heard that there was going to be food.

When he reached the checkpoint, Lukas hid near the checkpoint and waited.

Most awakened teams only came back when it was nearing nightfall after clearing as many demonic beasts as they could.

If he returned early, it might arouse suspicion from others.

And most importantly, he wanted to see if there was anyone from the Pak family coming out searching for Pak Yun and Pak Soon Hyun.

After a few hours of waiting, it was near nightfall and nothing unusual had happened.

Lukas then summoned Shiba back into his summoner space and walked back into the checkpoint.

And when he cleared the checkpoint counter, he got on the bus and started his journey back home.

As the bus moved off, he saw a limousine and armored cars going towards the direction of the checkpoint.

He figured that it must have been the Pak family finally realizing that Pak Soon Hyun and Pak Yun were uncontactable.

However, he wasn’t too worried if he was in the city.

There was someone else that he could call.

He closed his eyes for a short rest as it was a tiring day for him.

After a long travel, the bus arrived at his stop, and he alighted.

Lukas continued with his usual ritual of buying groceries to prepare for a sumptuous meal.

Shiba was slurping up plate after plate of spaghetti while Lukas was looking down at his phone.

The news and social media were buzzing with activity.

All over the different platforms, there were interviews given by the Pak family members and articles written about their missing family members.

He tapped on one of the videos and watched.

"I plead for my son, Pak Yun’s safety.

"He has been an outstanding member of the Pak family, contributing to charity.

"And my grandson, Pak Soon Hyun is just a kid.

"It would be pure evil if any harm befalls him."

The Pak family’s family head, Pak Min Jae, said with tears rolling in his eyes.

He was around sixty years old and had a head of gray hair.

"I’m lucky that Edric Robertson had given me his support during these difficult times."

Pak Min Jae said and gave out a long sigh.

The video stopped after this moment.

"Hmph."

Lukas shook his head.

Pak Min Jae didn’t really care for Pak Yun and Pak Soon Hyun.

Even in the interview, he was reminding Edric Robertson that the Pak family paid a price.

A subtle hint to Edric Robertson that the Pak family should get their rewards.

He put down his phone and joined in the feast with Shiba.

It took him a few minutes to finish his plate of spaghetti while Shiba only took a second to finish a plate.

When there was no more spaghetti for Shiba, it started licking the sauce and pieces of spaghetti and meat on the plates.

Suddenly, Shiba stopped and turned at the door.
