I Can Transform Into Any Monster
Chapter 68: Dancing Again

Chapter 68: Dancing Again

"Luis, your luck is amazing. This woman, Vexa, is very open-minded. She doesn’t discriminate between imperial citizens and Velos. If you’re capable enough to please her, she might not refuse if you invite her to your bedroom. Is she also below your standards? I think she’s quite beautiful, no less than Alice," Madam Sofia whispered softly to Luis, smiling without pause.

She truly didn’t know that Luis actually wanted to avoid this woman.

Everyone seemed surprised that Vexa would invite Luis to dance.

Of course, this caused intense jealousy among the imperial men.

Still, even if they were jealous, Luis worried that if he refused, they’d think he was arrogant.

’I guess if I avoid her, it’ll just make me feel even more uncomfortable and suspicious. Better to find out what this woman wants,’ Luis thought.

He truly disliked that uneasy and anxious feeling.

After deciding, he finally forced a smile.

"Sure," he said to Vexa, offering his hand.

She immediately took his hand and pulled him onto the dance floor.

"To be honest, Miss Vexa, I can’t dance," Luis admitted.

"Don’t worry. Just follow my lead. We’re only doing a simple dance," the woman responded casually.

Once they arrived on the dance floor, her hands quickly moved to his shoulders before wrapping around his neck.

The skin of her hands was so soft it felt pleasant to him.

"Hold my waist," she said, her face so close to his that he could smell the sweet scent of her breath.

Not wanting to look like some backwater villager who didn’t know how to dance with a woman, Luis placed his hands around her slender waist.

The woman smiled at his gesture and began to move her body gently with the breeze, causing Luis to sway along with her.

However, Luis’s mind was full of thoughts.

Even while dancing with a beautiful imperial woman, his desire didn’t really rise.

Maybe because from the start, she just wasn’t his type.

He didn’t like women who were too overly friendly.

Madam Sofia was also friendly, but not excessively. She was only kind to people close to her.

Moreover, she had a strong charm as a mature woman.

"Miss Vexa, is there something you want from me?" Luis couldn’t hold back his curiosity anymore, so he asked.

Immediately afterward, he noticed her mysterious smile, confirming that she indeed had some intention behind inviting him to dance.

"Tell me, where are you hiding Isadonna? If I offer you 3 billion in Monster Cores, would you hand her over to me?" she asked with a smile.

Luis froze upon hearing her directly mention Isadonna, though he had already suspected it.

Still, this was a bit different than what he’d expected.

This woman actually wanted him to hand over Isadonna to her—and was even willing to pay such a high price.

Three billion—in money, that was already enormous, but Monster Cores were another level entirely.

Monster Cores with up to three billion Energy Points... Luis could practically buy anything he wanted with that.

However, he had no intention of admitting that he had captured Isadonna.

"Miss Vexa, I don’t understand what you mean?" Luis replied.

The evidence might be clear, but he still wouldn’t admit it.

"Are you talking about Isadonna from the Whitemoon Family? I know she’s a powerful woman. How could I possibly capture her?" Luis feigned innocence, which only made Vexa smile wider.

Strangely, she then pulled herself closer until they were nearly embracing.

Luis could feel the softness of her body and the now exponentially stronger glares of jealousy directed at him.

"However you caught her doesn’t matter to me. But you can rest easy. Isadonna is my enemy, and I really want to kill her, though I’d much rather capture and torture her," Vexa said.

Her tone might have been casual, but Luis could feel deep hatred behind her words.

"Three billion Monster Cores is just one of the payments I can offer. If you want something else, I’ll give it, as long as I can. Or... do you want my body? That’s fine too. You can take me to your room right now," she added with a dazzling smile.

Luis froze at her words, never expecting things to turn out like this.

He began to wonder what exactly made her hate Isadonna so much.

’But if that’s the case, she surely wouldn’t want Isadonna to be found by her family.’

Luis quickly realized this.

The fact that Vexa knew he had captured Isadonna wasn’t a big problem, because she clearly wouldn’t report it to the Whitemoon Family. All she wanted was to get her hands on Isadonna herself.

Her plan would fall apart if the Whitemoon Family found out Luis had her.

"Miss Vexa, I think you’re too romantic. But honestly, I’m a shy guy," Luis joked while chuckling.

Vexa looked irritated by his words, clearly feeling like he was playing with her.

Before she could say more, Luis stepped back, pulling away from her hands.

"You!" She instantly looked upset.

But Luis just walked away, returning to his seat beside Madam Sofia—shocking everyone as he had actually left the beauty on the dance floor.

Was he not interested in her?

When Luis sat down, Madam Sofia looked puzzled.

"What were you two talking about?" she asked.

Of course, everyone had seen them chatting. But they assumed it was some kind of flirtation. Madam Sofia thought so too, but now she realized otherwise.

"Just some nonsense," Luis replied.

This wasn’t something he could tell anyone—including Madam Sofia.

Fortunately, Madam Sofia was a woman who easily understood others. She didn’t press further.

Meanwhile, Vexa, who usually wore a smile, suddenly showed a sulky expression.

She walked over to a table and sat alone.

When a handsome man approached her, she actually moved to another table, leaving the handsome man on the verge of tears.

At that moment, Luis saw Liam walking toward them after chatting with his friends for quite a while.

He smiled brightly, full of confidence.

"He must want to dance with me," Madam Sofia said.

"Would you reject his invitation, Madam?" Luis teased.

"Absolutely! But if you were the one who invited me, I might accompany you instead," she replied.

Luis couldn’t help but be stunned, staring at her in disbelief.

Madam Sofia smiled as she saw his reaction.

"You seem quite unlucky with women today. Alice hasn’t responded to your message, and you had trouble with Vexa. I think I need to give you a little entertainment. I don’t want you going home in a bad mood," she said softly, her voice soothing to the ears.

Luis’s heart pounded hard at that.

He couldn’t believe he was about to dance with her—the mother of his friend.

Dancing with Vexa was already shocking enough due to their age gap not being that big.

That woman was in her twenties.

But Madam Sofia was the type of woman middle-aged men dreamed of.

They could probably have heart attacks from jealousy just seeing it.

Of course, they wouldn’t actually have heart attacks—they were Awakener after all.

"Are you sure, Madam?" Luis asked just before Liam arrived.

He became so excited that he could barely contain himself.

Even though it was nerve-wracking, courage filled his head.

This was the only thing that could lift his mood amidst the mental chaos caused by Alice ignoring his message and Vexa suddenly demanding Isadonna from him.

"Why? Do you want me to pull you like Vexa did? That’s less charming. It should be the man who takes the woman’s hand," Madam Sofia replied.

Luis instantly stood upon hearing that and reached for her soft hand, surprising Liam, who was almost at their table.

But Luis couldn’t care less about him.

He pulled Madam Sofia’s hand, and she stood to follow him to the dance floor.

He didn’t even glance at Liam, as if he had no idea he was there.

This time, all the men on the yacht stared at Luis, mouths wide open.

The young men couldn’t believe someone their age was dancing with such a beautiful older woman, while the middle-aged men felt like their pride had just been stomped into the ground.

Luis felt like a hero who had won a queen.

On the dance floor, he boldly held Madam Sofia’s waist as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

This was the only simple dance Luis could do, so of course, this was all he would do. He couldn’t handle anything complicated.

The distance between them was minimal. His chest and the twin hills on Madam Sofia’s chest were nearly touching.

Unlike dancing with Vexa, this time Luis felt his body heating up quickly.

Seeing her stunning figure made him want to caress her body, though he lacked the courage.

On the other hand, Madam Sofia just kept smiling, as if unaware that every breath of hers was intoxicating.

"Luis, I’m afraid everyone has decided to rob you... Aren’t you scared?" Madam Sofia asked.

"I want to be scared, but you’ve given me endless courage," Luis replied.

He usually wasn’t good with words when talking to women, but now he somehow could speak so smoothly.

Maybe his brain was functioning far better due to almost hugging Madam Sofia.

He didn’t even care about feeling guilty toward Thomas for being attracted to his mother.

But could he really be blamed for falling for her?

It was because she was too beautiful and kind to him—even giving him the chance to dance with her.

Madam Sofia chuckled at his words.

"You’re indeed brave, but I still think you’re far from having boundless courage," she said.
