I Can Transform Into Any Monster -
Chapter 67: Dance Invitation
Chapter 67: Dance Invitation
Luis and Madam Sofia sat in the back while Liam sat in the front with the driver.
Liam then signaled everyone to get into their cars so they could head to the beach together.
"Everyone, wait!" Suddenly, just as Liam’s driver was about to start the car, someone called out to stop them.
It was the blonde female auctioneer who suddenly walked out of the auction house.
Luis couldn’t help but feel uneasy seeing her, worried she might be acquainted with Isadonna, recognize the two weapons, and try to stop him from leaving.
That would certainly be a serious problem.
"Everyone, I want to join the party too. Is anyone willing to take me?" the woman said as everyone turned to look at her.
Luis, who had been tense, breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing that.
"Hahaha, so you want to come too, Miss Vexa? How about you come with us?"
"You should ride with us, our car is way more luxurious!"
"Come with us, we’re all young and handsome!"
The men from the Empire quickly offered to take her after hearing that she wanted to come.
They seemed very enthusiastic.
However, she ultimately chose to ride with a group of imperial women.
It seemed she wasn’t the type to easily mingle with men.
Her friendly nature didn’t mean she was easy to approach, as she even treated the locals with warmth.
Liam then ordered his driver to take the lead.
Soon, the group of Awakeners headed for the beach in more than a hundred cars.
Since they were all Awakeners, even without a police escort, they behaved as if the roads belonged to them.
Others were forced to pull over.
Of course, no one dared to protest when they realized this was a convoy of elite Awakeners from various cities who had come to the island for the auction.
The local Awakeners on the island didn’t dare complain either, as most of them hadn’t even reached Level D, let alone Level C.
At high speed, it didn’t take long before the convoy arrived at the harbor.
The city might be small, but the harbor was massive, with many large cruise ship docked, carrying tourists from various countries.
This island was one of the biggest tourist stops. There were even thousands of smaller cruise ships.
With so many lights from the harbor, the sea was brightly lit even tens of kilometers from the island.
Luis quickly got out of the car, followed by the others, who looked at him as if wondering where the cruise ship was.
Luis looked at Madam Sofia, who then said, "I’ve already contacted one of the cruise ship owners at this port."
Just moments after she said that, a chubby middle-aged man came toward them, looking rushed and drenched in sweat.
"Sofia, long time no see! Why didn’t you tell me you were coming?" he said to Madam Sofia.
They seemed to have known each other for a long time.
"Henry, I’m not here for a vacation," replied Madam Sofia.
"So, is there a cruise ship you can rent out? This young man here is the one who wants to rent it," she continued, nodding toward Luis.
The chubby middle-aged man, Henry, looked at Luis and smiled.
"What’s your name, sir?" he asked.
"Luis, just call me that," Luis replied simply.
The man nodded slightly upon hearing that.
"Mr. Luis, I’ve prepared a cruise ship just as you wanted, complete with everything for a party—DJ, premium drinks, and beautiful women... The total cost is four million dollars. However, I also need you to pay an insurance fee of two million dollars," he said to Luis.
The price was higher than Madam Sofia had expected but not too far off.
Still, paying two million dollars for insurance made Luis puzzled.
He had never heard of such a thing.
"Mr. Luis, since everyone joining this party is an Awakener—and some are strong enough to destroy my cruise ship—I can’t take the risk without insurance. This isn’t just my policy; all businessmen here do the same..." the man explained.
Luis rolled his eyes upon hearing that. It seemed there had been many cases where Awakeners damaged the property they rented.
Of course, it was just an extra two million dollars, and Luis didn’t mind. He was only curious about the reason.
"Alright, I’ll pay six million dollars," he said, pulling out his phone to make the transfer.
He still had plenty of savings, so paying six million dollars was no big deal to him. It was reasonable since the guests he had invited were elite Awakeners—not just from Velos, but also from the Flying Star Empire.
It was a very prestigious party.
After he made the payment, Henry immediately led him to a cruise ship.
It wasn’t just large—it was enormous and luxurious.
Who knows how much it cost.
Once the Awakeners found out which cruise ship they were partying on, they quickly boarded it.
There was no inspection; everyone was free to enter. Even a few ordinary people and journalists managed to sneak in.
Luis didn’t bother with them, so when Henry asked if he wanted them removed, Luis told him to let them stay.
Luis and Madam Sofia were the last to board the cruise ship.
Henry joined as well but headed to the bridge with the captain.
The party was held on the top deck, an open-air space.
People had two ways to reach it—either by elevator or stairs—but most used the stairs since there were too few elevators.
Luis and Madam Sofia also used the stairs.
Even though they had to climb about five floors, it was nothing for Awakeners. If they wanted, they could’ve jumped straight to the top deck—but that would ruin the aesthetics.
Luis and Madam Sofia were still on the stairs when the cruise ship began to cruise out to sea.
Above, Luis could already hear the music—a mix between DJ and pop.
It was quite pleasant to the ears since it wasn’t too loud.
When he finally reached the top, he couldn’t help but be amazed to see many LC (ladies’ companions) in alluring dresses.
They were arranging drinks on rows of tables.
Luis even saw a swimming pool on the cruise ship. Some guests had already changed into swimsuits and were bathing in the pool.
Naturally, there was also a dance floor. You didn’t need a partner to dance, as the LCs were happy to accompany anyone who wanted to.
"This is a bit lacking, probably prepared in a rush," said Madam Sofia.
With her experience attending many parties, she naturally had higher standards—but to Luis, this was already extravagant.
He became the main focus of the LCs. They probably knew he was the one hosting the party.
However, since he was with a woman, they hesitated to approach, afraid he might be romantically involved.
"Look, Luis, this party is yours. You can bring anyone to your room," said Madam Sofia, noticing the LCs’ glances at Luis.
She smiled broadly at him.
"Ehem!" Luis cleared his throat.
"I just wanted to host this party, not indulge with random women," he replied.
"Besides, they’re not as beautiful as the women I know," he added.
He only knew a few women—Alice and Isadonna—but both were far more beautiful than anyone else.
Even the woman he had just met, Madam Sofia, was too beautiful. How could a group of LCs make him lose control when he could restrain himself even with a helpless Isadonna in his home?
In fact, even Velika Aris—the one who wanted to kill him—was more attractive than the LCs.
"Hahaha, seems like your taste is really high. But what about Alice? Has she replied yet?" asked Madam Sofia in response.
Hearing that, Luis quickly opened the messaging app on his phone.
There was no message from Alice, but he wanted to see if his message had been delivered to her.
It turned out it hadn’t.
Luis frowned as he saw that.
"Looks like we’ll have to look for her later," said Madam Sofia, who also saw the message.
"Is it possible she’s in danger?" Luis wondered.
"Alice has three Tier 2 Spirits, each incredibly powerful. She might even be stronger than Paul, who has four Tier 2 Spirits. Not many dangers can threaten her—but yes, it’s still possible she’s in trouble," Madam Sofia replied.
Luis was slightly surprised to hear Alice had three Tier 2 Spirits.
Then he remembered her terrifying strength—how she could summon a black hole that sucked in a Tier 2 Spirit from afar.
"Don’t think too much about it. Of everyone I know, Alice is the most tenacious," added Madam Sofia before sitting down at a table.
She crossed her legs, picked up a drink, and sipped it casually while watching the crowd.
Here, the atmosphere was very relaxed—there was no longer any tension from people planning to rob.
Maybe those who had such thoughts had temporarily forgotten them. They chose to enjoy the party first.
At the party, Luis finally realized that some people had a wild side.
Riven and Tyler, for instance—who usually looked cold—were already hugging two LCs while lounging on the couch.
If even they acted like that, then what about Paul?
He immediately embraced a young woman and brought her to the dance floor.
Liam seemed calm. He sat with some acquaintances, all while continuously glancing at Madam Sofia, as if wondering how to approach her.
He seemed to have realized that Madam Sofia and Luis were just friends and maybe had a bit of cooperation, as there was nothing strange between them.
The female Awakeners showed different behavior. They kept to themselves and ignored the men approaching them—especially Velika Aris. She sat alone, staring intently at Luis.
However, to Luis’s surprise, Vexa actually approached and sat next to him—but on the table, not on a chair.
"Boy, how about we dance?" she said, giving him a deep look.
Luis, who was no longer worried about her, couldn’t help but feel uneasy again because of this.
