I Can Transform Into Any Monster
Chapter 60: Short Battle

Chapter 60: Short Battle

ROAR! ROAR! ROAR!

Each of the snake heads roared loudly, splitting the ocean to its very depths.

Its power was indeed stronger than that of ordinary monsters. Luis, who was now in the air because the ocean had split, fell to the bottom of the sea.

Everyone on the beach screamed when they saw the appearance of the large black snake with three heads.

It was hundreds of meters long and flying through the air, even people in the city center could see it.

Whoosh!

The snake then charged toward Luis, who naturally summoned his Black Diamond Armor.

BANG!

One of the snake heads struck his body, but it didn’t affect him at all.

He retaliated by striking the snake’s head.

However, despite his punch generating waves and now being coated in black diamonds, it was still just an ordinary punch because it lacked thrust power.

The snake wasn’t affected at all.

Another head struck his body.

It dared not swallow him because swallowing an indestructible diamond could cause its stomach to rupture, leading to its death.

Buzz!

Luis then summoned his Wind Domain.

Five elements and five domains—at least he had that.

Within the wind domain, the snake struggled to move.

Luis then used the wind from the domain to propel himself toward the shore.

Whoosh!

His body was flung quickly, passing by Walker.

The man could only stand there as he passed by because he himself lacked offensive power. All he relied on were his monsters as a Beast Master.

"Chase him!" Walker shouted.

He then summoned his bird, which had grown enormous.

It was also at Level 6 but seemed to have not evolved specifically yet.

It chased Luis before he reached the beach. If he reached the beach, Walker would have difficulty attacking without hitting civilians.

Everyone finally realized that this was a battle between two Awakener, one of whom was a Beast Master.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

The bird fired its feathers toward Luis. They were large and had sharp tips like arrows.

Luis couldn’t dodge and didn’t even try to dodge.

Clang! Clang!

The feathers struck him without scratching his armor.

"Walker, you can’t hurt me," Luis shouted.

"I’ll capture you and destroy your armor slowly," Walker replied.

"You think you can capture me with your meager abilities?" Luis retorted.

Unfortunately, he had no weapon to use.

Though he had obtained two Tier A Level 2 weapons from Isadonna, he feared using them would alert the Whitemoon family that Isadonna’s disappearance was connected to him.

Some of them would recognize the weapons.

If he had a weapon, especially a Tier A Level 2 one, he might have a chance to kill Walker’s monsters by exploiting their moment of distraction when attacking them.

Even a Tier B Level 2 weapon was enough to injure a Level 6 Monster.

At that moment, the bird arrived in front of Luis and opened its beak.

It seemed to want to capture him with its beak.

"Hmph!" Luis snorted coldly and summoned his Fire Domain.

With him at its center, a massive ball of fire appeared, engulfing the bird within it.

The fire within the domain began to burn the bird. Its feathers quickly caught fire.

Among all the domains, the Fire Domain was clearly one of the most dangerous.

Though it hadn’t screamed yet, the bird quickly flapped its wings to escape the Fire Domain.

Luis smirked at Walker.

Though his face was covered by his armor helmet, Walker clearly felt his smirk.

Right after that, he finally managed to land on the beach.

Of course, he withdrew his Fire Domain; otherwise, the people on the beach would have been burned to ashes.

Walker and his companions’ expressions grew grim.

They also headed toward the beach.

"Luis, what did you mean by pulling my fishing line?" the man asked Luis.

People quickly moved away from them, no one daring to get too close to the two Awakener in combat.

It would be one thing if they were just weak Awakener, but both of them were clearly at the top tier.

Luis knew that action was the main reason for Walker’s anger. He would also be very angry if his fishing line was pulled until his boat capsized.

"I didn’t know it was your fishing line," Luis replied casually.

He wasn’t afraid of him, so he didn’t show any guilty expression.

"Walker!"

"Hey, what’s going on? Why are you fighting?"

Just as Luis was about to answer, a group of blonde-haired youths suddenly appeared.

Luis’s expression immediately turned serious because they were students from the imperial high school.

He even spotted Velika Aris among them, the only woman who had survived his poison.

She had apparently reached Level C, clearly thanks to the contributions of Monster Cores from various sources.

The woman didn’t ask Walker why he was fighting because when she saw Luis, her face was filled with hatred.

Even a pair of red swords appeared in her hands.

"Luis, how dare you show up here?" she said coldly.

Here, she was wearing a shirt and skirt with her hair tied in two ponytails, still in her usual style.

However, Luis didn’t pay much attention to her.

Among all the imperial students, besides Velika Aris and Walker, there were three other Level C Awakener.

Two of them didn’t catch Luis’s attention. He was only interested in one of them, a young man with long blonde hair and a handsome face that looked cold.

Luis’s instincts told him that he was very strong.

"Riven!" Walker greeted the man, who turned out to be named Riven.

He asked Walker why he was fighting, and Walker explained what had happened.

Hearing Walker’s explanation, some of the imperial students actually laughed.

Even Velika Aris laughed, something that seemed beyond her control as she unconsciously imagined how Walker’s ship had capsized because Luis had pulled the fishing line from below.

However, Velika Aris managed to hold back her laughter when she remembered that Luis was her arch-enemy who had nearly killed her.

The others were forced to stop laughing because Riven gave them a sharp glance.

After that, they naturally began cursing Luis.

Their hatred for him was no small matter, given how many of their friends had died from his poison.

"Let me fight him; I’m sure I can catch him now," Velika said as she stepped forward.

She looked eager to fight, or more accurately, to seek revenge.

"Miss, you should learn from experience; nothing good will come of fighting me," Luis said to her.

Provoked, Velika’s anger clearly grew.

However, as she was about to charge at Luis, Riven grabbed her shoulder.

"Wait, Velika, don’t act rashly," he said.

"Why? I don’t believe he has another poison that’s more dangerous," Velika said, looking unhappy at being stopped, but she seemed to respect Riven, so she didn’t insist, only asking why he had stopped her.

"The auction is about to begin; we can’t cause too much commotion or the company hosting the auction will cancel it," Riven replied.

"How can they cancel the auction just because we’re fighting here?" Velika asked again, clearly unconvinced by Riven’s answer.

"They don’t allow any disturbances until the auction is over. You’re new here, so you don’t know," Riven replied, leaving Velika with no room to argue.

This was indeed something she didn’t know because her knowledge was limited.

"But what about him? Are we just going to let him go?" Velika asked.

"Miss, you don’t need to worry about me. If you can’t find me here, you can come to my school. Besides, our schools are across the street. Of course, there’s a big risk if you do that," Luis replied, angering the imperial students.

Velika’s face turned red as she tried to hold back the provocation.

Luis just chuckled and smirked before walking away casually.

Fortunately, they chose to stop. If they had teamed up with the three Level C Awakener, Luis would have been in trouble.

Right now, he didn’t want to be near them.

He went to a public restroom and changed into dry clothes.

After that, he returned to the resort grounds.

Madam Sofia hadn’t contacted him, so she might have fallen asleep and wasn’t aware of the commotion outside.

Luis didn’t enter the resort. He relaxed inside Madam Sofia’s car, waiting until the afternoon to wake her up if she didn’t wake up on her own.

After the commotion, he had lost his mood to travel.

He checked his phone again to see if Alice had seen his message, but it turned out it hadn’t been sent to her phone yet.

"Where is she really?" Luis couldn’t help but wonder, growing a bit worried since it had been quite some time since her number had been inactive.

People usually don’t stay that long in the Apocalypse World.

After all, when there’s no fighting or anything special going on, they can travel through the real world.

"Is she that busy in the Apocalypse World?"

Unfortunately, Luis didn’t know her exact location. He hadn’t even seen her at school.
