Chapter 874: Chapter 870: Cursing Before Death
However, Tang Ye didn’t immediately give up on this zombie because every zombie possessed its own abilities, and perhaps he hadn’t yet discovered the abilities of this intelligent zombie.
Roar! Roar!
Among the horde, the intelligent zombie roared twice at one of its Level 2 zombie underlings. Initially confused, the underling finally grasped something after the urgent roars of its leader and grabbed the intelligent zombie to throw it toward the crane!
Bang!
Heh heh!
Thrown into the air, the intelligent zombie howled twice; it seemed the underling had used too much force and made it spin in the air, but fortunately, after landing on a few of its kindred and touching its head, it felt no injury. It looked around, noticing that it had been brought much closer to the crane. It squeezed out from the crowded gap between the zombies, exerting tremendous effort to climb onto the crane,
casually pushing a few blocking ordinary zombies down. It then roared furiously at its three underlings, who quickly understood its command. With a strange cry, they squeezed through the horde below the crane, glowering up at Brother Shi with a desire to tear him limb from limb!
Huff—Roar! Roar!
The intelligent zombie grew impatient, scolding its underlings as if berating them for their incompetence. After yelling for a while, the underlings finally realized that their leader was calling them. They hurriedly looked over, then after another two roars, they moved towards where the intelligent zombie was. However, when they reached the body of the crane, they stopped, their big dopey eyes looking up at their leader as if asking, "What do you want us to do?"
The intelligent zombie, frustrated, scratched its head frantically and roared repeatedly at its underlings. It even pulled out and furiously beat them with the already twisted control lever from the crane’s cockpit, only then did it make them climb up the crane.
Afterward, it got to the crane’s boom and pointed at the crankshaft below, roaring at the underlings. They ran over, and it pointed again, its intentions unclear. Tang Ye couldn’t understand it, and the zombie underlings were even more clueless.
Heh heh! Roar! Whine!
It roared, its face showing irritation, which looked quite comical on a zombie. At this point, Tang Ye finally understood what it wanted to do; it wanted the underlings to break the boom off. For Level 2 zombies, breaking the crane’s robust boom directly might require some effort, but it wasn’t impossible.
Strangely, it seemed unaware that the crane’s boom could be operated from the rear driver’s seat.
It, in front of its zombie underlings, pressed its body onto the boom and used force constantly, trying to make them understand its intentions. But in the end, the three zombie underlings showed no response, just blankly watching its almost retarded behavior.
Having no choice, it pulled over a Level 2 zombie that had two rifles slung around its neck, forcefully lifted its hand, and fiercely smashed it onto the boom, creating a loud noise, then roared at it a few more times.
This time, the underling understood the meaning, raised its fist and smashed down, but it didn’t use much force. After punching the boom, it looked towards the intelligent zombie, seemingly asking if that was what it should do?
The intelligent zombie, full of joy, danced with excitement. The result slightly deviated from what it had in mind, but luckily, it would still achieve the intended purpose.
Having received approval from its leader, the Level 2 zombie then threw a second punch with all its strength, making the crane’s boom tremble!
Immediately after, the third punch thundered down! The boom trembled again, and Brother Shi, stunned, looked in the direction of the intelligent zombie, his face showing horror.
"F*ck!"
Swearing loudly, Brother Shi began to panic as he felt himself getting closer to the ground. If this continued, he would die a gruesome death, torn to pieces in an instant by the numerous zombies!
The intelligent zombie looked toward Brother Shi, its black and red tongue stretched out, greedily licking its lips. It was breathing heavily through its nose, as if smelling the scent of life emanating from Brother Shi!
What a wonderful scent it was—to a zombie, this was an olfactory feast; the only thing missing was biting into his flesh, just one bite.
It understood that Brother Shi was no ordinary living creature. He was a being that had evolved three times. Since becoming a zombie, it was very clear to it how delectable the flesh of these evolved beings was!
It could hardly wait, constantly urging its zombie underlings to work harder!
Bang!
Bang! Bang!...
One impact followed another, and under the continual strikes of the Level 2 Power Type Zombie, the beam began to tilt towards one side, causing the zombies below to emit even crazier howls.
"F*ck! Who will save me? Where’s that person? Come the hell out! I f*ck your grandfather!"
Brother Shi’s forehead was covered with cold sweat, his complexion growing paler. As the beam continued to sag downward, his anxiety increased. He wanted to struggle, but he dared not, fearing that if he fell from the hook into the swarm below, he would die even quicker!
Thus, he was tormented and desperate, bewildered on the brink of death. He gave up hope that someone would come to rescue him and began to shout angrily at the mysterious person who had captured him, not caring if he could be heard or not.
What did it matter if he could be heard? He was going to die anyway, might as well curse to his heart’s content!
But while cursing that person, Brother Shi was also amazed. So there were intelligent zombies!
He had witnessed all the actions of that intelligent zombie just now—a zombie that could command others and knew that the food hanging above needed to be brought down to be reached was certainly not any ordinary zombie!
Suddenly, Brother Shi felt a chill run down his spine.
Zombies without thinking abilities and intelligence and those with the capacity to think and intelligence were two entirely different matters!
The former was merely a major disaster for humans, the latter was a clash between two civilizations! The severity of the latter can only be imagined.
Now, that there was an intelligent zombie in his small town, how many others could there be elsewhere?
He didn’t dare to think about it nor did he have the time to consider it, as he grew closer to the tide of corpses below, he felt as if he was already enveloped by the aura of death!
"F*ck!" he roared, seemingly trying to release all his emotions.
However, at that moment, the pounding sound stopped, which made him stunned; he turned to look at the intelligent zombie, his face turning ashen again.
The intelligent zombie did not want to share its meal with the horde below. It had chased all the zombies off the crane. Now, the beam had tilted to an angle climbable for it—it intended to climb up and devour Brother Shi!
