Chapter 67: Chapter 64: Changes 2_1

A certain look crossed Tang Ye’s eyes. He had just attacked Li Xiaojie with the mental strings in his mind, unsure whether two of the same type could control each other. As soon as his spiritual strings hooked onto Li Xiaojie’s brain, he let out a crazy, painful howl!

Tang Ye didn’t know what this zombie that seemed "similar" to himself was about, but seeing it attacking him, he quickly activated the mental strings, trying to subdue it, to make Li Xiaojie calm down!

However, this didn’t make Li Xiaojie calm down, on the contrary, it made him more frenzied. He took a few strides towards Tang Ye, grabbed his feet, and sent him flying with his entire body!

"Damn!" cursed Tang Ye.

Then he clumsily stood up from the ground and turned into a shadow. He rushed towards Li Xiaojie, deflecting him out of the way.

Roar!

Two colossal figures faced each other, each letting out a roar: one in rage, the other in despair. They then violently charged at each other! Tang Ye took the lead in launching a long-range attack, his ten bone spurs stabbed at Li Xiaojie, puncturing one bloody hole after another in his body!

Not like other zombies, Li Xiaojie’s pain sensors seemed not to be completely deadened. He let out a howl of pain when Tang Ye’s bone spurs pierced his skin. Enduring the pain, he removed Tang Ye’s protruding bone spurs from his skin and fearlessly advanced towards Tang Ye, raising his fists to pound him.

Tang Ye took a step back, but Li Xiaojie, an officer in the army with quite a high rank, had much more combat experience than himself. Seeing him stepping back, Li Xiaojie fiercely reached for Tang Ye’s abdomen.

Tang Ye felt a punch land on his stomach, causing him to stumble and fall to the ground. Seeing his successful attack, Li Xiaojie didn’t feel pleased. He knew that he’d already been wounded by the zombie - Tang Ye - and the infection was inevitable. Regardless of whether he won or lost, he would turn into a zombie. Coldly glancing at Tang Ye who he had knocked down, he used a move he used to bully new soldiers with—a lash leg! He used all his power to whip Tang Ye’s head!

Tang Ye could tell from the strong wind on his face that this kick was powerful enough to knock him out. He quickly rolled over and stood up. His right hand with bone claws flashing with a chilling light, instantly bit off a piece of flesh from Li Xiaojie’s shoulder!

When Tang Ye and his bone claw came in contact with Li Xiaojie’s skin, he froze in place as if he had discovered a new world, his eyes shining with a boundless golden light!

Tang Ye squinted his eyes. He smelled the scent of flesh and blood from this gigantic white tiger—it was not a zombie tiger! However, its colossal body was definitely not something a normal animal would possess!

This was an evolved giant tiger, uninfected by zombies, just like the middle-aged man Tang Ye had encountered before!

Tang Ye warily eyed the tiger, which was larger than a cow. Li Xiaojie did the same. An intelligent half-zombie and a zombie both sensed the malevolence of the giant tiger!

As Tang Ye watched the big cat with full concentration, Li Xiaojie suddenly collapsed, convulsing all over.

The mental strings that Tang Ye had hooked onto him instantly snapped. Tang Ye felt a pang in his head. These strings didn’t merely break; it was as if someone had cut them with a pair of scissors. The part of the string that was "hooked" remained inside Li Xiaojie’s head!
