The girl’s name is Ning Yu’er, a student studying at Honglin High School before the Apocalypse. When the black rain of the post-apocalyptic outbreak descended, she was in the dormitory resting with several roommates instead of being in class, and thus escaped disaster.

She could hear the horrifying roars of zombies from outside and felt surrounded by threats, causing her body to shake uncontrollably.

When she was born, her mother had passed away during childbirth, leaving her father to take care of her all by himself. At the time, they were very poor, and life was hard. Her father raised her on his meager salary. Whenever she was bullied or treated unfairly, her father would use his fists and strength to tear down all obstacles in front of her. The towering figure of her father remained etched deeply in her heart. This led to her deep fear of leaving her father, as she often felt threatened and insecure when alone. Especially now!

The zombie that had entered the room sniffed the air, likely catching a whiff of a living human. It staggered towards the closet where Ning Yu’er was hiding. That delicious scent seemed to be coming from within.

Tang Ye glanced at the schoolgirl zombie whose head he had just crushed and started dragging it towards the exit of the dormitory.

"At least five are dead, geez." Tang Ye muttered to himself. He had sneaked in when the dormitory door was broken down, looking at the panicked girls dashing around. He could not help but feel sorry for them.

He glanced again at the zombie he was dragging.

"I’m sorry, sweetheart of the nation, now that you’ve become a zombie, prepare to be my food!"

He planned to set up camp here; the scenery and decoration of the school were not bad. Before the Apocalypse, it used to be a private school for children of the political and social elite. Tang Ye, as a delivery man, was once scornfully told by the security guards here that he didn’t have the qualifications to enter the school.

The athlete zombie’s head was suddenly crushed. As Tang Ye moved forward to pull it up, he noticed a living person inside the wardrobe - a pretty girl. But Tang Ye had no interest in her, as he was now a zombie and had no need for such thoughts.

Ning Yu’er sat with her eyes tightly closed, waiting for the bite that would spell her end, but it never came. The only sound was a "Boom."

Opening her eyes, confusion filled her gaze. But the first thing she saw was the towering figure of Tang Ye, looking as menacing as a demon. Ning Yu’er couldn’t help but let out a piercing scream!

Tang Ye offered her a speechless glance, then continued to drag the athlete zombie out of the dormitory, paying her no mind.

Seeing that Tang Ye didn’t lunge at her to tear her apart, Ning Yu’er was stunned.
