Chapter 15: Chapter 15 Zombie Uncle_1

The little girl, Lanlan, ran out of the door and headed towards the corridor, just in time to see Tang Ye making a swift exit.

"Zombie Uncle! Don’t leave! Please, don’t go!" Lanlan called out to him.

Tang Ye, seemingly not hearing her, quickened his pace. He hustled down the stairs, making a clanging noise as he went. Lanlan followed, her little legs scampering after him.

"Zombie Uncle, stop running, Lanlan’s not afraid of you..."

In no time, Tang Ye reached the first floor and was out the door. How can tiny Lanlan keep up with him? By the time she got to the first floor, Tang Ye was already at the entrance of the complex.

Breathless and desperate, Lanlan could no longer contain herself. She yelled out, "Zombie Uncle! Where are you going?"

Her voice echoed in the empty courtyard of the complex, instantly attracting over a dozen zombies from outside. They howled and charged in. Tang Ye hadn’t expected her to be this persistent. He hadn’t closed the main gate when he came in!

Seeing the zombies running towards them, Tang Ye also let out a furious roar!

Roar!!!

Tang Ye was trying to distract them, but it was already too late. A few zombies had spotted Lanlan on the upper floor and were rushing towards her rabidly.

Noticing the horde of zombies, Lanlan realized the trouble she had caused and tears began to fall.

"Zombie Uncle..."

Hearing her voice, Tang Ye’s gaze towards the horde turned icy cold!

"Want to bite her? You’ll have to get through me first!"

With that, his fingernails grew at an alarming rate. He raised his claw and slashed at one of the zombies!

Hiss!

A ripping sound echoed. Tang Ye had underestimated his own strength, tearing the zombie’s head apart like it was made of tofu!

Roar!

With another bellow, Tang Ye reached out to another zombie that had just passed him, his mouth, full of terrifying teeth, snapping at its neck.

"Get lost!"

Tang Ye kicked three or four zombies with his powerful leg. His strength was far greater than the other zombies’. Brandishing his razor-sharp claws, he attacked the horde vigorously. But looking at the number of zombies, he was still just one against many.

"You’re forcing my hand!" With a determined look on his face, Tang Ye freed one hand, pulled a rifle from his back, and without caring if he would attract more zombies, started shooting at the zombies’ heads.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!...!!

A series of gunshots echoed, and all the zombies in front of Tang Ye fell to the ground, stirring up a frenzy among the zombies outside the courtyard.

Tang Ye holstered his gun once more and ran towards Lanlan, picking her up in his arms!

Roar~

Tang Ye gave her a soft growl and headed towards her apartment!

"Zombie Uncle, did you bring those food items?" As the crisis temporarily subsided, Lanlan asked Tang Ye, feigning ignorance.

Tang Ye nodded his grotesque head in response, continuing his run up the stairs.

"So... are you a good zombie then? You don’t eat people? The other zombies are bad zombies, they eat people. It’s scary!"

Once again, Tang Ye nodded, in response to Lanlan’s innocent question. Seeing more zombies climbing up from below, he held Lanlan tighter and quickened his pace.

Roar, roar, roar!

"Zombie Uncle, my mom is sleeping in the room, I won’t tell her..."

In a hurry, Tang Ye nodded, then set Lanlan down, letting her into her house. He flashed her a gruesome smile, then closed the door. He didn’t want her to get hurt.

After closing the door, the smile on Tang Ye’s face froze.

"Brave bunch, huh! Time to clean up!" Retrieving his crowbar, Tang Ye looked at the zombies now reaching the top of the stairs. He thought it was about time for a feast!

He’s a zombie that eats other zombies!

Roar!

Tang Ye let out a roar, swinging his crowbar and smashing it down on the first zombie’s forehead. In an instant, its head splattered with blood and flesh, the crowbar was aimed at another zombie...

Lanlan was lying at the door, listening to the sound of brains being crushed outside, until it gradually faded away.

Having dealt with all the zombies, Tang Ye casually tore out chunks of their brains and threw them into his mouth. He then dragged their bodies and dumped them on the first-floor floor.

When she didn’t hear any sounds from outside, Lanlan hurriedly opened the door to look. She was afraid that the Zombie Uncle had left.

"Zombie Uncle?" Lanlan stepped outside, not daring to look down the hallway, she anxiously called out for Tang Ye.

Tang Ye was in the process of dragging another zombie body. At the sound of Lanlan’s voice, he paused, stopping the work at hand.

Roar~

He let out a soft roar in response. He couldn’t speak but hoped she could understand the intent in his growl.

Lanlan’s face lit up with joy at the sound of Tang Ye’s roar.

Zombie Uncle is still here!

She stepped forward, approaching Tang Ye.

"Zombie Uncle, are you hungry? I have chocolate! Here, have some." As she spoke, she took out a piece of melted chocolate from her pocket and handed it to Tang Ye.

Tang Ye hesitated at the sight of the chocolate. However, seeing Lanlan looking at him with her big watery eyes, he gritted his teeth, carefully took it with one hand, tore open the rest of the wrapper, closed his eyes and threw the half-piece of chocolate into his mouth.

Gag...

An indescribable taste spread out. Tang Ye clenched his teeth to keep Lanlan from noticing anything odd, although his wide eyes made him look quite comical!

"Heeheehee, Zombie Uncle is so cute!" Lanlan laughed sweetly while watching Tang Ye, hopping around in front of him!

Tang Ye swallowed down the chocolate despite the taste. Watching the lively Lanlan filled his heart with warmth and harmony. He wanted to protect this scene forever.

However, the scent of fresh blood on Lanlan drifted to Tang Ye’s nose. His heart throbbed, and he couldn’t help but want to eat her!

"Damn it!"

Tang Ye felt he should leave. He crouched down, patted her head, growled twice at her and made to leave!

"Zombie Uncle, where are you going?"

Tang Ye ignored her, quickly went downstairs and headed to the ground floor. Lanlan wanted to follow, but her mother’s voice called out from the house.

"Lanlan! Where did you go... why did you run outside again? These two gas cans... did that Uncle give them to you?"

"Yep, it was Uncle. He came to give us stuff, and even ate my chocolate!"

"Oh, hmm."

"And there’s more! Uncle is really incredible, Mom, look, all these zombies were killed by Uncle alone! Isn’t he even more amazing than Dad?"

Lanlan pointed upstairs as she spoke. The woman was shocked when she saw the staircase filled with zombie corpses.

Who is he? A monster?

"Where...where is that Uncle?"

"Uncle left!" Lanlan answered, making the woman rush over to the railing to look at the ground. She saw a big pile of bodies strewn about on the ground. She was taken aback.

She sighed, ’What a formidable man!’

"Lanlan, let’s go back inside. Don’t go out alone when Uncle isn’t around, okay?"

"Hmm hmm, Uncle was just protecting me..."
