Chapter 92: The Gentle Spirit

Chapter 92: The Gentle Spirit

In the soft glow of the room’s warm lighting, Leo and Susan stared at the tiny, radiant creature perched delicately on Adam’s hand.

Their expressions were a mix of astonishment and awe as they observed Tayo, her small wings shimmering in hues of blue with intricate patterns etched across their delicate surface.

But what truly captivated them were her eyes—one a vivid sapphire blue, the other a deep crimson red.

It gave her an otherworldly charm that left Susan mesmerized.Susan has never seen a living thing like this before and she becomes extremely mesmerized by Tayo’s appearance.

"She’s... adorable," Susan murmured, taking a cautious step closer to Adam, her gaze locked on the ethereal being. "May I... hold her?"

Adam hesitated, caught off guard by the unexpected request. He glanced at Tayo, uncertain of how she might react. Tayo tilted her head, understanding the silent inquiry, and nodded gently.

"Go ahead," Adam said, his voice measured.

Tayo spread her luminous wings, leaping gracefully from Adam’s hand to hover before Susan.

She landed lightly on Susan’s outstretched palm, her tiny golden form glowing faintly in the light.

Susan’s face lit up with uncontained joy as she admired Tayo’s golden hair, which matched her elegant dress of the same hue.

"You’re so cute," Susan cooed, her fingertips brushing Tayo’s cheeks with a feather-light touch.

Susan feels so relaxed as she caresses Tayo’s cheeks, she can’t control herself, she wants to hug Tayo.

From a short distance, Leo watched the interaction with a keen interest. Unable to contain his curiosity, he stood and approached Susan, studying Tayo with intense focus. His analytical gaze lingered as he finally spoke.

"This... is a living being, isn’t it? You’ve created life?" he asked Adam, his tone a mix of disbelief and admiration.

Adam frowned slightly, shaking his head. "No, you’re mistaken. I didn’t create her in that sense. She’s a spirit, not just a construct or creature."

Leo’s eyebrows furrowed, but before he could probe further, a sudden shift drew everyone’s attention.

Then Susan removes her hand from under Tayo, at the same moment Tayo flies with the help of her wings and keeps herself in the air.

Susan winced, clutching her head as a sharp cry of pain escaped her lips. Tayo quickly fluttered away, hovering in the air as Susan staggered.

"My head," she gasped. "It’s the voices again... getting louder."

Alarmed, Adam and Leo moved to her side. Leo steadied Susan as she sank into a nearby chair, her hands gripping her temples.

"Calm down," Leo urged, his voice steady but filled with concern. "We’re here. Just breathe."

Adam looks at Tayo and says "Tayo do something... you have to fix the pain that Susan is going through, give her some relief".

Tayo, who had been watching from the air, landed gently on Susan’s shoulder, her tiny hands glowing with a soft, golden light.

Adam, standing nearby, exchanged a glance with Leo. "What’s happening to her?"

Leo sighed, his expression heavy. "It started after the Vampire attack. These voices... they’ve been tormenting her, becoming louder and more frequent. She can’t get any peace. And every time she hears them, the pain is unbearable."

Adam’s jaw tightened as he considered the situation.

He didn’t have a clear answer, but the sight of Susan suffering ignited a sense of urgency within him.

He looked at Tayo, who was now standing directly in front of Susan, her tiny face resolute.

"Tayo, will your gentle touch work on Susan?" Adam asked softly.

Tayo nodded, her delicate wings fluttering as she floated upward. She hovered just above Susan’s head, her small hand extending to touch Susan’s forehead.

"Gentle touch," Tayo whispered.

A warm, golden glow radiated from her hand, enveloping Susan in a soothing aura.

The room fell silent, the golden light casting soft shadows on the walls as Tayo focused.

Susan’s tense posture began to relax, the pain visibly dissipating as the golden energy worked its magic.

Seeing the golden glow Leo gets extremely surprised and takes his steps back due to the shock.

Susan opened her eyes slowly, blinking as she adjusted to the sudden absence of pain. She stared at Tayo, who was now back on her palm, glowing softly.

"You... you really are amazing," Susan whispered, her voice filled with gratitude.

Leo, who had been watching intently, let out a deep breath of relief. "How are you feeling now?" he asked.

Susan managed a small smile. "Better. Much better."

Leo turned to Adam, his expression serious. "Thank you, Adam."

Adam shook his head. "It wasn’t me. It was Tayo."

Leo looked at Tayo, his analytical gaze returning. "She’s... incredible. Is she truly alive?"

Adam hesitated before responding. "Yes. She’s a living being. A Sun Spirit."

Tayo, perched on Susan’s hand, stood and gave a small bow, her movements filled with grace. "My name is Tayo. I am a Sun Spirit, created by Lord Adam."

Susan’s eyes sparkled as she watched Tayo. "You’re so cute! Adam, can I keep her?"

Adam had not expected this question from Susan, he was very surprised.

Adam’s expression hardened immediately. "No."

Susan blinked, startled by his blunt response.

"First," Adam continued, "I wouldn’t allow it. And second, Tayo wouldn’t go with you even if I did. She chooses her path."

As if to affirm Adam’s words, Tayo spread her wings and flew gracefully back to Adam’s shoulder, settling there with a serene poise.

Leo and Susan exchanged surprised glances before Leo grew serious again. He turned to Adam, his voice steady.

"Adam, can you tell me what’s happening to her? What these voices mean and what’s causing her pain?"

Adam’s gaze turned contemplative. "I’m not sure yet. But I’ll find out."

Leo’s persistence showed in his voice. "Please. Susan’s been suffering for so long. I can’t stand to see her like this anymore."

Adam took a deep breath, his resolve hardening. "I’ll try."

The Chapter ended with the room filled with a tense, hopeful silence, each person carrying their own questions and determination for the challenges ahead.
