Chapter 93: The Oracle’s Revelation

Chapter 93: The Oracle’s Revelation

Adam stood up abruptly. His gaze locked onto Susan and Leo, who were seated opposite him, their expressions a mix of curiosity and unease.

Without a word, Adam moved toward Susan, His conference is clearly visible on Adam’s face as if he is the most powerful person there.

As he reached her, he raised his hand, placing two fingers gently on her forehead.

The contact made Susan flinch slightly, her brows furrowing in confusion, she feels that Adam is touching her power directly.

"What are you doing?" she asked, her voice laced with both curiosity and hesitation.

Adam’s gaze softened, though his tone remained steady. "Close your eyes, Susan."

She hesitated, her mind racing with questions. But something in his demeanor urged her to comply.

Slowly, she closed her eyes, her breathing steadying. Adam took a deep breath himself, shutting his own eyes as a sense of focused determination washed over him.

Suddenly, a shimmering purple window materialized in the space before Adam’s eye.

The energy emanating from it felt strange yet familiar, a surge of energy that tingled through his fingertips.

As he opened his eyes, the contents of the window became clear.

Power Detected: Oracle

The words hung in the air, their meaning sinking deep into Adam’s mind.

His eyes widened, the usual calmness replaced by a flicker of surprise. Oracle? What is this?

Another window appeared before him, seamlessly overlaying the first:

________________________________

Power Description: Oracle.

________________________________

Beneath it, the details unfolded:

_____________________________________

• The Oracle grants the user unparalleled knowledge.

• By speaking its name aloud, the user activates the power, gaining answers to any question they ask.

• The answers provided are always the most optimal for the user.

• However, activation of the Oracle causes severe head pain.

• If the user’s life is in immediate danger, the Oracle may activate automatically.

Adam’s brows knit together as he read the description.

A power I’ve never even heard of before... But its cost—pain—makes it a double-edged sword.

Taking a step back, he withdrew his hand from Susan’s forehead.

The glowing window disappeared as quickly as it had appeared. Adam clenched his fists, still processing the revelation.

Susan opened her eyes, blinking as if emerging from a trance. "What happened?" she asked.

Leo and Susan are very surprised by Adam’s reaction and many questions are running in their minds after seeing Adam’s reaction.

Before Adam could respond, Leo was already by her side, his hand resting gently on her shoulder. "Are you okay?" he asked, his voice tinged with concern.

Susan gave a faint nod. "I’m fine. I didn’t feel anything... strange." Her gaze shifted toward Adam, who stood still, his face a mask of contemplation.

Adam exhaled deeply, breaking the silence. "Yes," he began, his voice steady, "I know what your power is now."

Susan and Leo exchanged glances, their anticipation palpable. "What is it?" they asked in unison.

Adam’s gaze met theirs. "Your power is called Oracle."

Leo’s brow furrowed. "Oracle?" he repeated, the word feeling foreign on his tongue.

Susan was about to echo his question when Adam raised a hand, silencing her. "Don’t say it," he warned, his tone sharp. "If you say its name, the power will activate, and you’ll feel intense pain."

Both Susan and Leo looked at him, stunned. "Pain?" Susan asked hesitantly.

Adam nodded. "Severe head pain. The bigger the question, the worse the pain."

Susan’s shoulders slumped, and Leo’s lips pressed into a thin line. "Is there no way to stop it?" Leo asked, his voice tinged with frustration.

Adam’s expression turned somber. "Not yet," he admitted. "At least, not that I know of. But there’s more. Your power doesn’t just activate when you say its name. If your life is in danger, the Oracle will activate on its own to protect you, providing answers that could save you."

Susan’s eyes widened as memories resurfaced. "That explains it," she murmured. "There were times... when I heard a voice. It told me things—warned me. I thought I was imagining it." She paused, glancing at Leo. "There were moments when I survived vampire attacks because of that voice."

Leo’s jaw tightened. "And that voice led you to Adam, to find out about your power."

Both of them turned to Adam, their expressions a mix of hope and urgency.

"You have to find a solution for this," Leo said, his tone firm.

Adam gave a faint nod. "I’m already working on it."

Susan tilted her head. "You said earlier there might be a way to manage the pain. What did you mean?"

Adam’s gaze flickered to Taiyo, who had perched herself gracefully on his shoulder. "There’s something I’ve been experimenting with," he admitted. "It’s not perfect, but it might help."

Leo’s brows rose. "Experimenting? On what?"

Adam took a deep breath, his lips curling into a faint smile. "On creating something... new."

"New?" Susan echoed, her curiosity piqued.

Adam nodded. "A new Tayo. One that might be able to share or mitigate the burden of powers like yours."

Leo and Susan exchanged wide-eyed looks. "You’re creating a new tayo, like she is?" Leo asked incredulously.

Adam’s smile deepened. "At least, I’m going to try."

With that, he turned and walked toward an open area near the window where sunlight was coming...

His movements were deliberate, his mind focused on the task ahead. Tayo fluttered after him, her wings creating a soft hum in the air.

"You remember what to do, right?" Adam said, glancing at her over his shoulder.

Tayo nodded. "I won’t let your energy drain too much," she replied confidently.

Adam chuckled softly. "Good."

He knelt down, placing his palms on the ground as a faint glow began to emanate from his body.

Susan and Leo watched in awe, the weight of what was about to unfold sinking in.

As the glow intensified, Adam’s focus sharpened.

He knew this was just the beginning—a step toward solving not just Susan’s problem but the mysteries of powers beyond comprehension.

The Chapter ended with a hum of energy in the air, anticipation heavy as Adam prepared to create something for Susan and Leo.
