Chapter 83: The Hero’s Plan
Chapter: The Hero’s Plan
The room was shining with the sunlight coming in through the windows, and the soft hum of energy-infused unique power emanated from Adam as he stood motionless, contemplating his next steps.
Floating before him was Tayo, a radiant figure no larger than his fist, yet exuding an overwhelming presence.
Her golden hair shimmered like threads of sunlight, and her vibrant dress reflected the light with hues of shimmering gold.
Her four translucent blue wings fluttered rapidly, keeping her aloft effortlessly.
Her striking eyes—one a piercing blue and the other a vivid crimson—held a unique duality, a reflection of the immense power within her small form.
As she hovered before Adam, the faint sound of her wings beating filled the silence.
Adam’s deep voice broke through the stillness, "Tayo, my plan is simple."
Her small, pointed ears twitched at the words, and she leaned forward, her expression one of earnest curiosity. "Lord Adam, what plan? Please, share it with me."
Tayo is very excited to hear Adam’s plans and wants to know more about Adam, her creator.
A rare chuckle escaped Adam’s lips as he replied, "Of course. You’re the key pillar of this plan, after all."
Tayo’s wings fluttered faster, causing her to rise slightly higher in the air. A bright smile spread across her tiny face. "It would be my greatest honor to play a role in your plan, lord Adam."
Adam’s tone grew more serious as he continued, "You are the ultimate counter against vampires, Tayo. Your ability to revert them back to humans is their greatest weakness. Not only that, but you can also identify those who turned humans into vampires. This will be instrumental in dismantling their networks."
Tayo’s smile widened, and she clasped her hands together. "So, my task is to turn vampires back into humans?"
Tayo is very happy because Adam is replying to her a lot and has a lot of expectations from her which is a very happy moment for tayo.
Adam nodded. "Exactly. But there’s more to it. You need to become a public figure—a hero."
The term made Tayo pause mid-flight, her expression puzzled. "A public figure? I don’t quite understand. What do you mean, Lord Adam?"
Adam gestured animatedly, his voice tinged with excitement. "I mean, people need to see you as a savior. You’ll not only fight vampires but also cure them, showing everyone that hope exists. You’ll become a symbol of resistance against this darkness."
Tayo tilted her head, her confusion evident. "But for that, people will need to see me. How will they do that?"
Adam smirked, his violet eyes glinting. "Leave that part to me. I’ll ensure they see you when the time comes."
Tayo doesn’t know how Adam will do it but she trusts Adam completely that he will do it when he says so she doesn’t question Adam much and accepts Adam’s plan by nodding her head.
As Tayo processed Adam’s words, he observed her intently. His gaze lingered on her mismatched eyes, a peculiar yet captivating detail. Breaking the silence, he said, "Your eyes are unique, Tayo. Quite beautiful, really."
The compliment caught her off guard, and a soft blush colored her cheeks. "Thank you, Lord Adam. It is an honor to receive such words from you."
Adam’s curiosity deepened. "Earlier, I noticed you closed one eye—the red one—and pinpointed the exact location of a vampire. How did you do that?"
Tayo’s wings slowed, and she bowed her head respectfully. "My eyes represent the sun and moon. My red eye signifies the sun and its powers, while my blue eye reflects the moon and its light. Each grants me abilities tied to their nature."
Adam is quite surprised to hear this, "I never noticed that my creations had their own individual characteristics, as far as they are driven by nature."
Adam rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Fascinating. So, they work in tandem, like two halves of a whole."
Tayo nodded. "Exactly, Lord Adam. My red eye allows me to locate and track vampires, no matter where they are. My blue eye helps me channel moonlight-based powers to heal or weaken them."
Adam straightened, his tone more serious. "You’ll face many vampires ahead, Tayo. There might be times when I’m not around to assist you. For that reason, I need to understand all your powers and what you’re capable of."
Tayo’s expression grew solemn as she replied, "As you wish, Lord Adam." She floated a short distance away and added, "I possess many offensive skills, but I cannot demonstrate them here. It would destroy your room."
Adam chuckled, glancing around at the modest yet meticulously organized space. "True. I’d rather not deal with that kind of mess."
"I have to take Tayo to a secluded spot where no one will see us or disturb us," thinks Adam.
Adam extended his hand, and Tayo, understanding the gesture, gracefully landed on his palm. With a flash of light, the two disappeared from the room.
When they reappeared, they stood in an abandoned park just outside the city.
The area was overgrown, with weeds creeping through cracks in the pavement, and the faint scent of damp earth lingered in the air.
The desolate surroundings were eerily quiet, save for the distant chirping of crickets.
Adam scanned the park, his sharp eyes taking in every detail.
Memories surfaced as he stared at a particular spot—faint impressions of a brutal fight against two thugs, Davis and Brown.
He frowned, momentarily lost in thought. This is where it happened, he mused. The night I ended their reign of terror.
Shaking off the memory, he turned to Tayo, who had taken flight once more. "What do you think of this place?" he asked.
Tayo laughed, twirling in the air. "Perfect, Lord Adam. Plenty of space to practice."
Adam crossed his arms, watching her with a rare sense of ease. "Good. Let’s get started."
The Chapter ends here, setting the stage for Tayo’s training and the next phase of their fight against the vampire menace.
