Chapter 81: The Sun Spirit’s Revelation

Adam leaned back, his eyes narrowing in curiosity as Tayo floated a few inches above the ground, her translucent wings shimmering faintly with a golden hue.

His voice cut through the stillness, sharp yet calm.

"Who... or what are you, exactly?"

Tayo’s delicate face lit up with a warm smile, the light from her golden irises reflecting Adam’s shadowed gaze.

"I am a Sun Spirit," she replied, her voice melodic yet grounded with confidence.

"I draw my energy from the sun itself. Gentle Touch is but one of my many skills that Iusedon you, my lord."

Adam straightened, intrigued but cautious. "Gentle Touch?"

She nodded, her wings fluttering softly as she spoke. "Through this skill, I can either restore energy and health to anyone I touch or absorb their energy, strength and endurance. It depends on my will."

Adam’s eyes widened, his mind racing. Absorb and restore? He stepped closer, the revelation sparking an idea in his head. "You mean... you could take strength as easily as you give it?"

Tayo tilted her head, her expression both serene and slightly mischievous. "Indeed, My Lord. Earlier, when I restored your strength and endurance, I merely replenished what was lacking. If I had chosen, I could have taken it all instead."

Adam’s gaze darkened with thought as he analyzed the implications.

His mind churned. If someone were to fight her, this ability could turn into an unstoppable weapon. She’s both a savior and a threat.

His voice came out steady but inquisitive. "Tayo, can you tell me more about your other skills?"

Tayo’s excitement was palpable as she clapped her hands, her golden light flickering. "It would be an honor, My Lord!" she said, flying upward in a graceful spiral.

Adam’s eyes followed her every move as she glided near the ceiling.

Suddenly, her form began to shimmer, and she turned semi-transparent. Adam’s breath hitched as she phased through the ceiling, her figure entirely disappearing from sight.

He took a step back, startled, his arm twitching instinctively.

"Tayo!"

Her laughter rang out softly from above, and a moment later, she reappeared, descending gracefully until she was face-to-face with him.

Adam’s lips parted in surprise as he realized she had gone entirely incorporeal.

"What... was that?" he asked, his voice low.

Tayo chuckled. "That, My Lord, is one of my skills, Matter State. With it, I can pass through any physical object. While in this state, no one can touch or harm me."

Adam rubbed his chin, absorbing the information. "And can you still use other skills in that form?"

"Yes," she answered with a nod. "For example, I can use Gentle Touch to heal injuries or cure mental afflictions instantly, even in Matter State."

Adam’s sharp mind quickly connected the dots, an idea taking shape. He looked into her radiant eyes. "Tayo... can you answer an important question for me?"

Her expression shifted, curiosity now etched on her face. "Of course, My Lord. What would you like to know?"

Adam exhaled, his words measured. "Can you turn a vampire back into a normal human?"

Tayo’s wings fluttered as she thought for a moment. "Yes," she replied confidently.

"From what I’ve learned of this world through your memories, I can not only heal them but also trace the source of their transformation. If a human was turned into a vampire, I can reverse the process and discover who or what made them this way."

Adam’s heart raced. "Trace the source? Explain that to me."

Tayo moved closer, her radiant form glowing slightly brighter. "If a vampire turned someone, I can track their energy trail and identify the original creator. Whether it was another vampire or a demon, their essence leaves a mark that I can sense."

Adam’s eyes widened further. "You mean... you could find the one responsible for their transformation?"

"Yes, My Lord," she said with a slight bow. "I can sense demons, vampires, and other dark entities from great distances. It is my gift."

A rare smile broke across Adam’s usually stoic face. She’s exactly what I’ve been searching for.

He spoke softly, his voice carrying a weight of gratitude. "Tayo, you’ve come into this world at just the right time. You’re exactly what I need."

Tayo beamed at the praise, bowing mid-air. "It is my honor to serve you, Lord Adam. I will do anything you ask."

Adam folded his arms, his mind already racing ahead. "Can you detect any vampires near our home right now?"

Tayo nodded and closed her blue eye. The other eye, now crimson red, began to glow intensely. Adam stared, his awe mixed with unease. Her petite figure, so seemingly harmless, radiated immense power.

As Tayo’s glowing eye scanned the area, Adam observed her closely. She’s adorable... and terrifying. Even as her creator, she’s a being I wouldn’t dare underestimate.

After a moment, Tayo spoke. "Three vampires. Approximately 800 meters southwest of here."

Adam’s demeanor instantly shifted. "Alright, then. Let’s deal with them."

Tayo’s eye returned to normal, and she gave him an excited look. "Allow me to handle them, My Lord. Please."

Adam considered her request but nodded, standing and retrieving his sleek black mask from the table. As he secured it over his face, Tayo watched intently, her glowing figure hovering beside him.

"Give me the exact details," Adam ordered.

Tayo pointed. "They’re gathered near a two-story house. The outer gate is open, and so is the main door."

Adam’s sharp eyes locked onto hers. "I can’t teleport you directly to them, but I’ll bring us close enough."

With a flick of his hand, Adam and Tayo vanished into thin air.

---

The two reappeared outside the two-story house. Adam immediately noted the open gate and door. From within, muffled screams echoed faintly.

Adam turned to Tayo. "Let’s move."

Tayo sped ahead, her glowing form darting into the house while Adam followed swiftly behind her.

Inside, a chilling sight greeted them. In the dimly lit corridor, three vampires surrounded a middle-aged woman. One held her by the neck, feeding from her blood while the other two stood watch.

The vampire drinking from her sensed Adam first, dropping the woman as he lunged toward the intruder.

Before Adam could react, Tayo darted between them. The vampire halted mid-step, unable to see her incorporeal form.

"Matter State," Tayo declared, her voice serene. Her body shimmered and became fully transparent, phasing through the charging vampire.

Adam’s eyes narrowed as he stepped forward, his blade ready. Tayo’s ethereal form floated ahead, her power a silent warning of what was to come.
