Chapter 298: PLEASE SKIP THIS Chapter
_______________________________
Hey everyone,
I have to post this message with a very heavy heart because I’ve made a huge mistake, and I am incredibly sorry for it.
I somehow managed to upload a completely wrong set of Chapters. Everything from Chapter 292 all the way to Chapter 313 is incorrect and has nothing to do with our main storyline. I can only imagine how confusing this must have been for all of you, and I am truly ashamed of this error.
So, this is what I need you all to do:
Please, please SKIP all Chapters from 292 to 313.
The story picks back up correctly at Chapter 314. Please jump straight to Chapter 314.

The dimly lit war room of the Union base is thick with tension as Adam leans forward, his fingers interlocked in deep contemplation. Across from him, Lilith sits with an amused smirk, as if enjoying the suspense she’s created. The others—Phantom, Zero, Ninja, and Krish—stand around the table, waiting for Adam’s response.
The revelation about The Nexus Protocol still lingers in the air like a storm cloud. If what Lilith says is true, then Lily isn’t just a threat—she’s the catalyst for something much worse.
"You’re asking us to trust you," Adam finally says, his voice calm but firm. "But so far, all you’ve given us are cryptic warnings and half-truths. If you want us to believe you, start talking. No more games."
Lilith tilts her head slightly, her violet eyes gleaming under the dim lights. "Fair enough," she says smoothly. "But first, let’s get something straight—I’m not here to join your little rebellion. I’m here because I need you as much as you need me."
Phantom scoffs. "You still haven’t given us a reason to believe you."
Lilith chuckles. "Oh, I think I have. You just don’t want to admit it." She leans back in her chair. "You already know I used to work with the people behind Lily. What you don’t know is why I left."
Adam remains silent, waiting.
Lilith’s playful demeanor fades slightly. "They were preparing something," she continues. "Something beyond anything you’ve ever faced. The Nexus Protocol isn’t just a failsafe—it’s a control mechanism. If activated, it could change the entire balance of power in ways you can’t even imagine."
Zero narrows his eyes. "Change how?"
Lilith sighs. "You really think Lily is the real problem here? No. She’s the ignition switch. The real danger is what happens after she’s used."
Adam exhales slowly, his mind racing. "And you know how to stop it?"
Lilith’s smirk returns. "I know where to start."
Adam studies her for a moment. He knows she’s holding something back, but right now, she might be the only lead they have.
"Fine," he says at last. "But if you even think of betraying us, I’ll deal with you myself."
Lilith grins. "I’d expect nothing less."
Adam and Lilith staring each other down, an uneasy alliance forming in the shadows of a greater war.
The air in the war room remains heavy with tension as Lilith’s words sink in. Adam leans back in his chair, his fingers tapping against the cold metal table as he processes everything. Phantom, standing beside him, crosses her arms, her expression unreadable.
"So," Adam finally speaks, his tone measured. "You’re saying Lily isn’t the real threat—but something bigger is coming."
Lilith nods, a faint smirk on her lips. "Correct. And unless you’re prepared, you’re all going to be eliminated the moment The Nexus Protocol is activated."
Krish, who has remained silent until now, frowns. "And why should we believe you? You worked with them. What changed?"
Lilith chuckles softly. "You still don’t get it, do you?" She leans forward, her gaze sharp. "I didn’t leave because I grew a conscience. I left because I saw what was coming—and I refused to be collateral damage."
Zero steps forward, his eyes narrowing. "Explain."
Lilith exhales, as if debating how much to reveal. "The Nexus Protocol isn’t just about controlling Lily," she finally says. "It’s about creating something far worse than her. A failsafe designed to wipe out anything and anyone that poses a threat to the system."
Adam stiffens. "A failsafe? Like a weapon?"
Lilith shakes her head. "Worse. It’s a purge mechanism. A complete reset of the system. Everyone involved—Lily, her clones, you, your Union, even the government you’re trying to fight—will be erased."
A heavy silence falls over the room. The weight of her words settles on them like a crushing force.
Phantom is the first to break the silence. "If that’s true, then why haven’t they used it already?"
Lilith’s smirk returns. "Because it’s not ready yet. But it will be—soon." She locks eyes with Adam. "Which means you have very little time to stop it."
Adam clenches his fists, his mind racing. If what she’s saying is true, then their fight isn’t just against Lily anymore. It’s against something much bigger—something that could destroy everything.
"So," Lilith says, leaning back, "are you ready to listen now?"
Adam looks around the room, meeting the gazes of his allies. Slowly, he nods. "Talk."
Lilith’s smirk widening as she prepares to reveal what she knows, the fate of the Union hanging in the balance.
A heavy silence fills the war room as Adam’s words linger in the air. Lilith watches him carefully, gauging his reaction, a slow smirk playing on her lips.
"Good," she says, leaning forward. "Because what I’m about to tell you will change everything."
Adam remains still, his mind running through countless possibilities. The Nexus Protocol. A global reset. A force more dangerous than Lily. If this was true, then everything he thought he was fighting for had just escalated to an entirely new level.
Phantom, standing beside him, narrows her eyes. "Start talking."
Lilith doesn’t hesitate. "The Nexus Protocol is an automated system. It was created long before Lily, before even The Union became a threat. It was designed to be a last resort, a way to reboot the world’s power structure if it ever got too unstable."
Zero steps forward, his arms crossed. "And let me guess—it’s activated remotely?"
Lilith nods. "Yes, but that’s not the worst part." She taps her fingers against the table. "It’s adaptive. The system learns from past failures. It doesn’t just erase threats; it improves itself every time. If you stop it now, it will return—stronger, smarter, and even harder to predict."
Adam frowns. "So what’s your plan?"
Lilith’s smirk fades slightly. "I don’t have one."
The room falls silent again. Phantom clenches her fists, frustration flashing across her face. "You mean to tell us all this, warn us about an unstoppable force, and yet you have no solution?"
Lilith shrugs. "I never said I had all the answers. I only know what I saw, what I escaped from. But if you want to fight it, you’ll need someone who understands the system from the inside."
Adam studies her carefully. "You?"
Lilith tilts her head. "Who else?"
Krish scoffs. "You expect us to trust you? After everything you’ve done?"
Lilith chuckles. "Trust? No. But you don’t have another choice, do you?"
Adam leans back in his chair, his fingers interlocked. He knows she’s right. As much as he hates to admit it, they’re in uncharted territory now. The rules of the game have changed.
After a long pause, he sighs. "Fine. You’re in—for now. But if you betray us..." His voice drops into a dangerous tone. "I will end you myself."
Lilith grins, unfazed. "Noted."
Adam and his team standing on the edge of an uneasy alliance, knowing that the battle ahead is unlike anything they’ve ever faced before.
The tension in the war room is thick enough to cut with a knife. Adam’s agreement to let Lilith join them is met with silence, followed by the subtle shifting of weight from his allies. No one is comfortable with this decision—but they all know it’s necessary.
Phantom steps forward first, her sharp eyes fixed on Lilith. "If you so much as breathe wrong, I will personally erase you from existence."
Lilith smirks but doesn’t respond.
Krish folds his arms. "This is a mistake."
"Noted," Adam replies curtly. "But right now, we need every piece of information we can get. And Lilith has it."
Zero, who had been silently analyzing the situation, finally speaks. "If we’re doing this, I need full access to anything Lilith knows about the Nexus Protocol. Every system, every potential failsafe."
Lilith raises an eyebrow. "Oh? And what makes you think I’ll hand everything over?"
Adam shoots her a cold look. "Because if you don’t, we won’t need the Nexus Protocol to wipe you out. I’ll do it myself."
The smirk on Lilith’s lips wavers, just for a moment. She exhales slowly. "Fine. But I want something in return."
Phantom scoffs. "You’re in no position to negotiate."
"Maybe not," Lilith says, leaning forward, "but if you really want my cooperation, you need to guarantee my survival. The Nexus Protocol isn’t just coming for you—it’s coming for me, too."
Adam exchanges a look with Phantom, then with Zero. He knows this won’t sit well with the others, but Lilith has a point. If the Nexus Protocol truly adapts and eliminates all variables, then anyone associated with it—even defectors—would be a target.
Adam leans back, his gaze unwavering. "You help us stop the Nexus Protocol, and we ensure you don’t get erased. That’s it."
Lilith nods. "Deal."
The agreement is struck, but the room remains heavy with doubt. Adam knows this alliance is built on fragile ground, but right now, he doesn’t have the luxury of trust. He only has strategy.
"Zero," Adam says, shifting his focus, "compile everything we have on the Nexus Protocol. We need to find its weak spot before it finds ours."
Zero nods. "On it."
As the team disperses, Phantom lingers behind. "Are you sure about this?" she asks, her voice low.
Adam doesn’t look at her. "No. But we don’t have another choice."
The Chapter ends with Adam watching Lilith closely, knowing that the fate of their war now rests in the hands of an enemy-turned-ally—one that could betray them at any moment.
