Chapter 296: PLEASE SKIP THIS Chapter
_______________________________
Hey everyone,
I have to post this message with a very heavy heart because I’ve made a huge mistake, and I am incredibly sorry for it.
I somehow managed to upload a completely wrong set of Chapters. Everything from Chapter 292 all the way to Chapter 313 is incorrect and has nothing to do with our main storyline. I can only imagine how confusing this must have been for all of you, and I am truly ashamed of this error.
So, this is what I need you all to do:
Please, please SKIP all Chapters from 292 to 313.
The story picks back up correctly at Chapter 314. Please jump straight to Chapter 314.

The Chapter begins with Adam and his team standing in the command room of the Union base, illuminated by the glow of several holographic screens. The air is tense as Adam stares at the alert flashing across one of the screens: "Unknown Entity Detected Near Base Perimeter."
Phantom steps closer, her voice steady but serious. "What do you think it is, Lord Adam? Another machine? Or something worse?"
Adam doesn’t reply immediately, his gaze fixed on the map of the base perimeter. The alert signal pulsates like a heartbeat, signaling danger approaching. "It doesn’t matter what it is," Adam finally says, his voice calm but determined. "We’ll handle it, just like we did before."
Sona hovers near Adam, her wings glowing faintly as she looks at the screen. "Shall I scout ahead, Lord Adam? I can check the perimeter without being seen."
Adam nods. "Go, but stay out of sight. We can’t risk revealing ourselves until we know what we’re dealing with."
Sona flies out of the base, her form shimmering as she activates her cloaking ability. The surrounding area is dark, the dense forest blanketed in an eerie silence. The only sounds are the faint rustling of leaves and the occasional chirp of distant insects.
Sona moves cautiously, her senses heightened as she scans the perimeter. She finally spots the source of the alert—a small group of figures moving stealthily through the forest. They’re clad in black armor, their movements precise and calculated.
"These aren’t random intruders," Sona thinks to herself. "They know exactly where they’re going."
She telepathically contacts Adam. "Lord Adam, we’ve got a group of heavily armed intruders. They’re moving toward the base’s eastern gate. Their formation suggests they’re professionals."
Adam’s voice responds in her mind, calm but firm. "Understood. Return to the base immediately. We’ll prepare for their arrival."
Back at the base, Adam relays the information to the team. Phantom, Ninja, and Tayo listen intently as Adam outlines the plan.
"They’re professionals," Adam says, pacing in front of the holographic map. "Which means they’re here for something specific—probably us. We need to be ready."
Phantom steps forward, her energy blades glowing faintly. "What’s the strategy, Lord Adam? Do we engage directly or wait for them to make the first move?"
Adam considers for a moment before replying. "We’ll set a trap. If they’re as skilled as Sona says, a direct confrontation could cost us. Ninja, you’ll handle perimeter defense. Tayo, you’ll create diversions to keep them off balance. Phantom, you’re with me—we’ll intercept them once they’re inside."
The team nods in agreement, their resolve clear.
The scene shifts to the eastern gate of the base, where the intruders are closing in. Their leader, a tall figure with a commanding presence, raises a hand, signaling the group to halt.
"Spread out," the leader orders, their voice calm but authoritative. "We need to find the entrance without alerting them."
The group begins to fan out, moving with practiced precision. Unbeknownst to them, Ninja watches from the shadows, his form blending seamlessly into the environment. He silently activates a series of traps Adam had prepared earlier—motion-triggered snares and holographic decoys designed to confuse and disorient the intruders.
Suddenly, one of the intruders triggers a trap, and a holographic wall springs to life in front of them, cutting off their path. "What the—?" one of them exclaims, their voice filled with confusion.
"They know we’re here," the leader says, their tone sharp. "Stay focused. This doesn’t change the mission."
From the command room, Adam watches the scene unfold on the holographic screens. His expression is calm, but his mind races as he assesses the intruders’ tactics.
"They’re skilled," he mutters. "But they underestimated us."
Turning to Phantom, Adam gestures toward the screen. "Let’s move. It’s time to greet our guests."
Phantom nods, her energy blades flaring to life as she follows Adam out of the command room.
Adam and Phantom moving through the base’s corridors, their footsteps echoing softly as they prepare to intercept the intruders. The tension is palpable, the air heavy with the anticipation of the impending confrontation.
Outside, the intruders regroup, their determination unwavering despite the unexpected resistance.
The final line focuses on Adam, his gaze sharp and resolute as he approaches the eastern gate. "Let’s see what you’re really after," he says quietly, his voice filled with quiet determination.
Adam and Phantom move silently through the dimly lit corridors of the Union base. The air hums with tension, the faint glow of emergency lights casting long shadows on the walls. Adam glances at Phantom, who hovers silently beside him, her energy blades faintly illuminating the path.
"Phantom," Adam says in a low voice, "stay close, but don’t reveal yourself until I give the signal."
Phantom nods. "Understood, Lord Adam."
As they near the eastern gate, Adam slows his pace. The faint sound of boots crunching against gravel reaches his ears. He raises a hand, signaling Phantom to stop.
"They’re close," Adam whispers. "Let’s see how they handle a surprise."
Outside, the group of intruders cautiously approaches the eastern gate. Their leader, a tall figure clad in black armor, gestures for the team to halt.
"We’re inside their perimeter," the leader says, their voice low but firm. "Stay sharp. We don’t know what we’re dealing with yet."
One of the intruders scans the area with a handheld device, the screen flickering with data. "I’m picking up some faint energy signatures," they report. "But it’s... strange. I can’t pinpoint their exact location."
The leader frowns. "Keep moving. We don’t stop until we find the source."
Unbeknownst to them, Ninja observes their every move from the shadows. Hidden behind a concealed panel in the wall, he watches as the group moves deeper into the base.
"They’re inside," Ninja whispers into his communicator. "Moving toward the central corridor. Do you want me to engage?"
Adam’s voice responds through the earpiece. "Not yet. Let them come closer. We’ll cut them off where we have the advantage."
As the intruders move deeper into the base, the air suddenly grows colder. The leader raises a hand, signaling the team to stop.
"Something’s wrong," the leader says, their eyes scanning the corridor. "Stay alert."
Before they can react, a burst of light erupts from the ceiling. Phantom descends swiftly, her energy blades cutting through the air as she lands in front of the group. Her presence is both ethereal and menacing, her glowing form casting an eerie light across the walls.
"Who are you, and what do you want?" Phantom demands, her voice echoing through the corridor.
The intruders are momentarily stunned, but their leader quickly recovers. "We’re not here to talk," they say, raising their weapon.
Before the leader can fire, Adam steps out from the shadows, his hand raised. "Stand down," he says, his voice calm but commanding. "You’re outmatched, and you know it."
The intruders hesitate, their weapons trained on Adam and Phantom. The tension is palpable, the air thick with the anticipation of a fight.
"You don’t know who you’re dealing with," the leader says, their voice filled with defiance. "We’ve been trained for situations like this."
Adam smirks. "Is that so? Then you should know better than to underestimate us."
With a flick of his wrist, Adam activates his skill, Energy Disruption. The corridor fills with a faint hum as the intruders’ weapons flicker and short-circuit, sparks flying from their devices.
"What the—?" one of the intruders exclaims, their weapon falling uselessly to the ground.
Phantom steps forward, her blades glowing brighter. "You’re in our territory now," she says. "Leave, or face the consequences."
The intruders exchange uncertain glances. Their leader tightens their grip on their useless weapon, their resolve wavering.
Realizing they are outmatched, the leader makes a desperate decision. They reach into their belt and pull out a small device, pressing a button on its side.
A sharp, high-pitched sound fills the corridor, causing Adam and Phantom to wince. The device emits a pulse of energy, disrupting the environment around them.
Phantom’s energy blades flicker, momentarily destabilized. "What is that?" she asks, her voice strained.
Adam narrows his eyes. "A distraction," he says. "They’re trying to escape."
Sure enough, the intruders begin to retreat, moving quickly down the corridor. Adam raises his hand, preparing to activate another skill, but hesitates.
"Phantom," he says, "let them go."
Phantom looks at him, surprised. "Are you sure, Lord Adam?"
Adam nods. "They wanted to test our defenses. Now they’ve seen what we’re capable of. Let them report back to whoever sent them. It’s better if they fear us."
The Chapter ends with Adam and Phantom standing in the corridor, watching as the intruders disappear into the distance. The air grows still once more, the tension dissipating.
Phantom deactivates her energy blades, turning to Adam. "What now, Lord Adam?"
Adam’s gaze is sharp, his mind already racing with possibilities. "Now," he says, "we prepare for the next move. Whoever sent them won’t stop here. This was just the beginning."
As they return to the command room, Adam’s expression hardens. He knows the Union’s enemies are growing bolder—and the time for decisive action is drawing near.
