The Chapter begins with Adam standing in front of the transparent shield that contains the clones of Sona and Tayo. After hearing the mocking words of the fake Sona, Adam’s mind is a storm of emotions. His frustration bubbles as he steps closer to the shield, placing his hand firmly against its smooth, glowing surface.
"So, your master already knows you’re here?" Adam says, his voice sharp and laced with suspicion.
In response, the fake Sona and Tayo burst into laughter. Their voices echo within the containment field, their expressions dripping with disdain and amusement.
Adam clenches his jaw, feeling the weight of their defiance. Their smug demeanor makes his blood boil, but there’s a deeper issue—he has no way of confirming whether they are lying or telling the truth. Every word they utter seems carefully crafted to sow doubt and confusion.
He runs a hand through his hair, pacing in front of the field. He knows he’s being played, but without any proof, he can’t call their bluff. His frustration is palpable, his thoughts spiraling.
Suddenly, an idea strikes him. Adam’s gaze sharpens as he looks over his shoulder at the real Sona, who hovers silently behind him, her golden wings glowing faintly in the dimly lit room.
"Sona," Adam says, his voice steady but urgent, "can you connect to this Sona telepathically? Can you find out if they’re lying?"
Hearing Adam’s question, Sona tilts her head slightly, her expression thoughtful. She flutters forward, her glowing form illuminating the space around her. "Lord Adam," she replies, her tone firm yet cautious, "I can try."
Adam nods, signaling her to proceed.
Sona turns her attention to the fake Sona inside the containment field. Her golden eyes narrow as she focuses, her mind reaching out toward the clone’s. However, the fake Sona, having overheard Adam’s instructions, closes her eyes tightly. She visibly tenses, mentally fortifying herself against any intrusion.
Sona presses on, her glowing aura intensifying as she channels her telepathic abilities. But no matter how much effort she pours into establishing a connection, the fake Sona’s defenses hold strong.
Despite her initial failure, Sona refuses to give up. She circles the containment field, her golden wings flickering as she continuously attempts to break through the clone’s mental barriers. Each attempt grows more forceful, more desperate, as the seconds tick by.
Inside the field, the fake Sona smirks subtly, her face calm despite the mental onslaught. It’s clear that she’s trained—or perhaps programmed—to resist such attacks.
Minutes pass, and Sona begins to falter. Her once-brilliant aura dims slightly, her breathing becoming heavier. The strain of repeated failures weighs on her.
Finally, after countless attempts, Sona stops. She hovers in place for a moment, her wings drooping slightly as she turns to Adam. Her expression is one of disappointment and exhaustion.
"I’m sorry, Lord Adam," she says quietly, her voice tinged with regret. "I couldn’t establish a connection. Their mental defenses are too strong."
Adam’s face hardens at her words. He takes a deep breath, his frustration barely concealed as he glances back at the clones. Their smug expressions remain, only fueling his anger further.
Adam’s mind racing for a new plan. The clones may have won this round, but Adam knows this is far from over.
Adam processing Sona’s earlier words. He takes a deep breath, nodding slowly before turning to face her. His expression softens as he speaks.
"Sona, don’t worry," Adam says gently. "I know you gave it your all. Just because you didn’t succeed doesn’t mean I’m disappointed. In fact, I’m grateful that you’re here, supporting me."
Hearing Adam’s words, Sona’s tense shoulders relax, and her troubled expression fades. She feels a sense of relief and happiness wash over her. The guilt of not being able to help begins to ease, her confidence returning bit by bit.
Standing at the back, Phantom observes the scene quietly. Seeing Sona’s struggle and Adam’s unwavering support, she steps forward gracefully, her dark aura radiating an air of confidence.
"Lord Adam," Phantom says, her voice steady and resolute, "allow me to assist. I can not only establish a telepathic link, but I can also extract their memories directly."
Adam’s eyes widen slightly, and a spark of hope ignites in his expression. He turns to Phantom, his tone laced with curiosity and excitement.
"Really? Are you sure?" Adam asks, leaning slightly forward.
Phantom nods, her gaze unwavering. She hovers slightly above the ground, bowing her head respectfully. "Yes, Lord Adam. Please give me a chance."
Hearing this, Adam glances back at Sona, his confidence renewed. "Sona, would you be willing to try again, this time with Phantom’s help?"
Sona, emboldened by Adam’s faith and Phantom’s confidence, meets his gaze with determination. "Of course, Lord Adam. I’ll try again—for you."
Phantom slowly moves behind Sona, her aura dark yet calm, as she prepares to assist. Sona shifts her focus back to the fake Sona trapped within the transparent energy shield.
Sona steps forward, her golden wings glowing faintly as she raises her hands toward the shield. Closing her eyes, she activates her telepathic skill, focusing all her energy on piercing the mental defenses of the fake Sona.
Meanwhile, Phantom moves silently behind Sona. Hovering in the air, she places her hand lightly on Sona’s back, channeling her own unique power into Sona’s telepathic skill. The combination of their abilities creates a surge of energy that strengthens the mental link, forcing its way past the fake Sona’s defenses.
Inside the shield, the fake Sona struggles, her eyes shut tight as she desperately tries to resist the invasive connection. Beads of sweat form on her forehead as her mental barriers begin to crumble under the overwhelming force.
Despite her efforts, the fake Sona’s resistance falters, and her body goes limp as she loses consciousness. Her partner, the fake Tayo, panics and tries to shake her awake, but to no avail.
As the fake Sona collapses, Phantom’s focus sharpens. She raises her other hand, summoning a holographic screen that materializes beside the containment field. The screen glows with a soft blue light as Phantom channels her power into the unconscious mind of the fake Sona.
Moments later, the screen flickers, and a series of fragmented memories begins to play. The images are disjointed and chaotic, but they hold valuable information. Adam, standing nearby, watches intently as the memories unfold.
Phantom activating her powers, causing the holographic screen next to her to flicker to life. The memories extracted from the fake Sona begin to play, drawing the attention of everyone in the room—Adam, Sona, Tayo, Zero, Ninja, and even holographic Pratham. All eyes are glued to the screen, their expressions a mix of curiosity and apprehension.
Adam’s gaze remains focused as the screen displays a scene shrouded in darkness. Suddenly, the faint sound of breathing breaks the silence, and the fake Sona is seen opening her eyes.
In the dimly lit scene, a young woman, around 19 years old, stands before her. Her features are sharp, her eyes gleaming with determination. Adam narrows his gaze as he observes the interaction.
The fake Sona speaks hesitantly, her voice trembling. "My name is Sona... but I don’t know why I’m here. All I know is my name."
The young woman smiles, her tone calm yet authoritative. "I know your name is Sona," she replies. "Because I created you. My name is Lily, and from today onward, I am your master."
The fake Sona looks confused but remains silent as Lily steps forward, embracing her tightly. The scene dims, and the screen momentarily goes black.
As the video transitions, a new scene unfolds. This time, Lily is standing in what appears to be a dimly lit laboratory. She’s addressing a group that includes the fake Sona, a fake Tayo, a fake Ninja, a fake Logan, and several other individuals, all of whom bear striking similarities to Adam’s creations.
Adam’s jaw tightens as he recognizes their counterparts. The sight of these clones, identical to his trusted allies, sends a wave of anger and confusion through him.
In the video, Lily speaks with confidence, gesturing toward the group before her. "Our plan is simple," she declares. "We will form an alliance with the government. Before the Union can rise any further, we will strike them down. They will know the strength of my creations and bow before us."
Adam clenches his fists as he processes Lily’s words. His companions exchange uneasy glances, the implications of the video weighing heavily on their minds.
As the video ends, the room falls into an uneasy silence. The weight of the revelations hangs heavy in the air. Adam and his allies now understand the identity and motives of the woman behind the clones—Lily, a mastermind working to undermine the Union and control the government through her creations.
Inside the transparent energy shield, the fake Tayo glances nervously at the holographic screen. Seeing her master’s plans exposed, she becomes visibly agitated. Desperation creeps into her expression as she realizes the precariousness of her situation.
Without warning, the fake Tayo makes a bold decision. She extends her hand toward the unconscious fake Sona and attempts to activate her Burning Touch ability. Flames begin to flicker at her fingertips as she tries to eliminate her counterpart, believing it will silence the source of their master’s exposure.
However, the transparent energy shield reacts immediately, suppressing her abilities and keeping her powers contained. Sparks of fire die out as the shield neutralizes her attack, leaving her visibly frustrated.
Zero, observing the scene closely, notices the fake Tayo’s dangerous attempt. His sharp eyes narrow as he turns to Adam. "Lord Adam," he says urgently, "this is a critical threat. We need to separate these two immediately. If she tries again, she might succeed."
Hearing Zero’s warning, Adam spins around to face the shield, his gaze locking onto the fake Tayo. To his shock, she is gripping the unconscious fake Sona’s neck with both hands, her desperation driving her actions.
Adam’s face hardens, a mix of anger and determination flashing in his eyes.
The Chapter ends at this tense moment, with Adam preparing to take decisive action to stop the fake Tayo from harming the unconscious Sona.
