Chapter 293: PLEASE SKIP THIS Chapter

_______________________________

Hey everyone,

I have to post this message with a very heavy heart because I’ve made a huge mistake, and I am incredibly sorry for it.

I somehow managed to upload a completely wrong set of Chapters. Everything from Chapter 292 all the way to Chapter 313 is incorrect and has nothing to do with our main storyline. I can only imagine how confusing this must have been for all of you, and I am truly ashamed of this error.

So, this is what I need you all to do:

Please, please SKIP all Chapters from 292 to 313.

The story picks back up correctly at Chapter 314. Please jump straight to Chapter 314.

______________________________

The Chapter begins with the atmosphere in the base thick with tension. Adam’s sharp gaze is locked on the transparent shield, where the fake Tayo grips the unconscious fake Sona by the neck, her desperation fueling her actions. Sparks from her suppressed power flicker around her hands, threatening to ignite at any moment.

Zero’s words echo in Adam’s mind: "This is a critical threat. We need to separate these two immediately."

Adam takes a deep breath, his expression cold and resolute. He steps forward, standing just inches away from the glowing shield. "Enough," he says, his voice calm but laced with authority.

The fake Tayo glares at him, her grip tightening on the unconscious Sona. "You think you can intimidate me?" she spits, her voice filled with defiance. "Even if I’m trapped here, I will not let you destroy everything we’ve worked for."

Adam narrows his eyes, raising a hand toward the shield. "You’ve already failed," he states firmly. "Your master’s plans have been exposed, and you’re nothing more than pawns in her game. But I won’t allow you to harm anyone here—not even your own."

Adam’s fingers begin to glow faintly as he activates one of his abilities. A faint, swirling mist of blue energy gathers around his palm. "Zero," Adam calls out without looking back, "lower the intensity of the shield, but keep it stable enough to prevent their escape."

Zero nods and immediately moves to a nearby console, his hands deftly working to adjust the shield’s settings. The shield’s glow dims slightly, and the oppressive force surrounding the clones eases just enough to give Adam an opening.

Adam focuses his energy, his voice steady. "Phantom," he says, addressing the spectral figure hovering nearby, "support me. If anything goes wrong, use your abilities to reinforce the shield."

Phantom floats closer, her expression calm yet watchful. "Understood, Lord Adam," she replies, her ethereal form glowing faintly.

With a swift motion, Adam channels his energy into the shield. The blue mist spirals forward, weaving through the transparent barrier and encircling the clones. The energy moves delicately, avoiding harm to either of them but immobilizing the fake Tayo’s hands.

The clone grits her teeth as she feels her strength ebb away, the flames around her fingers extinguishing completely. "What... what are you doing?" she demands, her voice trembling with frustration.

"I’m ending this," Adam says firmly. "Your actions only prove that you’re desperate—and desperation leads to mistakes."

As Adam’s energy continues to suppress the fake Tayo, the unconscious fake Sona stirs slightly, her eyes fluttering open. She looks disoriented, her gaze shifting between Adam and her counterpart.

"W-what’s happening?" the fake Sona murmurs weakly, her voice barely audible.

Before Adam can respond, the fake Tayo snaps, "Stay quiet! Don’t say anything!" Her voice is laced with panic, but her body remains restrained by Adam’s energy.

Adam steps closer, his tone softening slightly as he addresses the fake Sona. "You don’t have to listen to her," he says. "You’ve seen the truth, haven’t you? You’ve seen what your master is really planning."

The fake Sona hesitates, her eyes wide with fear and confusion. "I... I don’t know," she stammers. "All I know is that I was created to follow her orders. But... something doesn’t feel right."

Adam nods, his voice calm and persuasive. "That’s because you were meant for more than this. You don’t have to be a pawn in her schemes. You have a choice."

The fake Tayo glares at Adam, her frustration boiling over. "Don’t listen to him!" she shouts. "He’s trying to manipulate you. You were created for one purpose—to serve Lily. Don’t betray her!"

The fake Sona flinches at the outburst, her internal conflict evident. She looks at Adam, then at her counterpart, her hands trembling.

Phantom, observing the scene, interjects. "Her fear is clouding her judgment," she says, addressing Adam. "If we can break through that fear, she might tell us everything we need to know."

Adam nods, his gaze never leaving the fake Sona. "You don’t have to be afraid," he says gently. "If you tell us the truth, I promise no harm will come to you. But you have to make that choice."

The fake Sona hesitates, her breathing uneven. Finally, she lowers her head, her voice barely above a whisper. "I... I’ll tell you what I know. But you have to protect me from her," she says, glancing nervously at the restrained fake Tayo.

Adam steps back slightly, a small smile of relief crossing his face. "You have my word," he says.

As the tension in the room eases slightly, Adam gestures for Zero and Phantom to reinforce the shield, ensuring the clones remain contained. The fake Sona’s confession hangs in the air, a glimmer of hope amidst the chaos.

Adam turns to his allies, determination in his eyes. "We’re one step closer," he says firmly. "But this is just the beginning."

Adam looking back at the fake Sona, his resolve unwavering as he prepares to uncover the full extent of Lily’s plans.

Adam standing in front of the transparent shield. The fake Sona looks visibly shaken, her eyes darting nervously between Adam and the furious fake Tayo. Despite her trembling hands, she begins to speak, her voice trembling.

"L-Lily... she created us for one purpose," the fake Sona starts hesitantly. "She wanted us to infiltrate your organization—to destroy the Union from within."

Hearing this, everyone in the room exchanges tense glances. Phantom hovers closer to the shield, her ethereal form glowing faintly. "What kind of infiltration?" she asks, her voice calm but sharp.

The fake Sona hesitates, glancing nervously at the fake Tayo, who glares at her with pure rage. "If you tell them anything, I’ll make sure Lily punishes you for this!" the fake Tayo snaps, her voice dripping with venom.

Adam steps closer, his expression cold. "That won’t happen," he says firmly, his gaze fixed on the fake Tayo. "You’re in no position to make threats."

The fake Sona looks down, her shoulders slumping as she continues. "Lily planned to replace your key members with clones," she reveals. "She wanted to sow mistrust within your ranks. If her plan worked, you’d start doubting each other... and the Union would collapse from the inside out."

The room falls silent as the gravity of the revelation sinks in. Zero clenches his fists, his usually composed demeanor giving way to frustration. "Replacing us with clones?" he mutters, shaking his head. "She’s more dangerous than we thought."

Phantom narrows her eyes, her voice calm but laced with tension. "It’s a clever plan. If we hadn’t captured these two, it might have worked."

Meanwhile, Sona and Tayo, the real ones, float closer to Adam, their expressions a mix of anger and disbelief. "She’s been targeting us this entire time?" Sona asks, her voice trembling with barely contained fury.

Adam nods, his expression serious. "This confirms what we suspected. Lily isn’t just targeting me—she’s targeting all of us."

The fake Tayo glares at the fake Sona, her voice filled with disdain. "You’re pathetic," she spits. "Betraying Lily like this? You’re nothing but a coward!"

The fake Sona flinches at the harsh words, her eyes welling with tears. "I... I just don’t want to die," she admits, her voice barely above a whisper. "If helping them keeps me alive, then I’ll do it."

Adam steps forward, his gaze fixed on the fake Tayo. "Your loyalty to Lily is admirable," he says coldly, "but it’s also foolish. She sent you here knowing you could be captured or killed. You’re nothing more than disposable pawns to her."

The fake Tayo snarls, struggling against the energy field restraining her. "You don’t know anything about her!" she snaps. "Lily is a genius! She’ll crush you and your pathetic Union!"

Adam’s eyes narrow. "We’ll see about that," he says quietly.

Adam turns his attention back to the fake Sona, his tone softening slightly. "What else do you know?" he asks. "Does Lily have more clones like you?"

The fake Sona nods hesitantly. "Yes," she admits. "There are others. Some are already active, and others... others are still being created. She’s building an army of clones, each one designed to replace a specific member of the Union."

This revelation sends a chill through the room. Emily, who has been silently observing from the corner, finally speaks up. "We need to find her base," she says firmly. "If she’s creating more clones, we have to stop her before it’s too late."

Adam nods in agreement, his expression grim. "Do you know where her base is?" he asks the fake Sona.

The fake Sona hesitates, her fear evident. "I... I don’t know the exact location," she says. "But I’ve heard her mention a place... something about an abandoned facility in Sector 12."

Phantom tilts her head thoughtfully. "Sector 12," she murmurs. "That’s on the outskirts of the city. It would be a good place to hide a cloning facility."

As the conversation continues, the fake Tayo’s anger reaches a boiling point. Her eyes blaze with fury as she suddenly activates her Burning Touch, her hands igniting with a faint, flickering flame. Despite the transparent energy field suppressing her powers, she channels all her strength into one desperate attempt.

The flames around her hands intensify as she lunges toward the fake Sona, her intent clear. "If you’re going to betray Lily, then you don’t deserve to live!" she screams.

Adam’s eyes widen as he realizes what’s happening. "Stop her!" he shouts, turning to Phantom and Zero.

Phantom reacts instantly, her hands glowing with a pale blue light. She creates a second layer of energy around the fake Tayo, further restraining her movements. The flames around her hands flicker and die out as the additional energy field takes hold.

"Enough!" Adam commands, his voice ringing with authority. "You’ve failed. Accept it."

The fake Tayo struggles against her restraints, but it’s clear that her strength is fading. She finally slumps against the energy field, her defiance giving way to exhaustion.

With the immediate threat neutralized, Adam steps back, his expression unreadable. He glances at Phantom and Zero, his tone calm but firm. "Strengthen the containment field," he orders. "We can’t afford any more incidents."

As Phantom and Zero work to reinforce the shield, Adam turns to the fake Sona one last time. "You’ve done the right thing by helping us," he says quietly. "But this isn’t over yet. We’ll need more information if we’re going to stop Lily."

The Chapter ends with Adam walking away from the containment field, his mind racing as he begins to formulate a plan. Behind him, the fake Sona watches him with a mix of fear and hope, while the fake Tayo glares at him with unrelenting hatred.
