Chapter 161: The Golden Waves of Restoration
Chapter: The Golden Waves of Restoration
The Chapter begins where we left off, within a grand hall overflowing with a crowd eagerly gathered to witness their Creator, Adam.
The air was charged with anticipation, an almost palpable energy as everyone, from the youngest to the oldest, gazed at him with a mixture of reverence and hope.
At the forefront of this sea of faces stood Adam, his figure commanding yet enigmatic, flanked by Pratham and Mikasa, the ancestors of this species, their expressions steady yet brimming with emotion.
Yuki, the young girl who had previously approached Adam, spoke up, her voice carrying urgency.
"The willpower of many still hasn’t returned, Lord Adam." Her words reverberated through the hall, causing murmurs to ripple among the crowd. Adam, however, raised his hand, silencing the noise.
"No," Adam said, his voice firm yet composed. "Restoring their willpower through normal processes won’t suffice."
His tone carried a weight of authority, leaving no room for doubt. Slowly, he stepped away from the group, his movements deliberate, his posture unwavering, until he stood alone at the very center of the hall.
The crowd’s whispers hushed as Adam extended his arms slightly and took a deep breath.
A moment later, he dropped to his knees, placing his palm flat against the cold, polished floor.
A sharp golden light emanated from his hand, radiant and pure, quickly spreading outward in rippling waves.
The hall bathed in this golden glow, the light radiating from Adam’s palm surged with an otherworldly intensity.
It was not just light—it was life, an energy infused with purpose. The waves expanded beyond the hall, pouring through the vast tower where this grand chamber was housed.
From there, the golden energy spread further, sweeping through the entire city.
Adam’s body remained still, his eyes closed in concentration, yet the strain on him was visible.
Beads of sweat formed on his forehead as his energy poured out in unyielding waves. The golden light traveled relentlessly, touching every corner of the city, every street, every home, and every person within its bounds.
Wherever the light touched, it worked its magic. In homes and public spaces alike, people paused as the radiant waves enveloped them.
Their eyes glowed momentarily with a golden hue as they felt the restrictive chains placed by Uv1’s influence begin to dissolve. It was as though an unseen weight had been lifted from their shoulders.
Their senses sharpened, their thoughts cleared, and an unshakeable sense of independence began to take root within them.
Far from the tower, in the dense forests where many prisoners were held captive, the light penetrated through the thick canopy. Shackles, both physical and mental, fell away as the golden energy restored their willpower.
For the first time in years, these individuals breathed freely, their eyes wide with newfound clarity.
Back in the hall, the people stood mesmerized, their eyes fixed on Adam.
Many knelt in awe, their hands clasped in silent prayer. They had never witnessed such a magnificent spectacle before.
The light seemed infinite, a never-ending cascade of waves emanating from their Creator.
As the sun began to dip below the horizon, casting a warm orange glow over the city, the golden light started to fade.
Adam’s hand trembled as he withdrew it from the ground, his task complete. He rose to his feet, his movements slow and labored. It was evident that the immense energy expenditure had taken its toll on him.
Turning to Pratham and Mikasa, who had been watching in silent admiration, Adam gave them a weary smile.
"I believe that should suffice," he said, his voice tinged with exhaustion. "I have restored the willpower of almost everyone and balanced the dimensional plane."
Pratham and Mikasa are very happy to see Adam’s achievement but are also very worried at the same time as they see his tired state and do not know for how long Adam has been in the dimensional plane.
Pratham and Mikasa exchanged a glance of relief and gratitude. Mikasa stepped forward, her voice soft yet resolute. "Lord Adam, perhaps you should rest here tonight. You’ve done more than enough."
Adam shook his head. "No," he replied firmly. "I cannot stay. There is much happening outside that demands my attention."
Hearing this, Pratham and Mikasa become very sad but at the same time they are also excited to work with Adam again.
His words carried a sense of urgency, and though Pratham nodded in understanding, there was a flicker of concern in his eyes.
"I am excited to accompany you, Lord Adam," Pratham said, lowering his head respectfully. Adam placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder, his smile gentle but fleeting.
Adam turned his attention back to the crowd, his gaze sweeping across the room. His expression grew serious as he addressed them. "Before I leave, there is something important I must tell you."
The crowd fell silent, their collective gaze locked on their Creator. Among them, Uv2, the second eldest son of Pratham and Mikasa, stepped forward. His demeanor was calm but inquisitive as he asked, "What is it, Lord Adam?"
Adam’s gaze settled on Uv2, and he spoke with deliberate clarity. "I believe you need to establish a structure—a system to ensure that no one in the future can wield absolute power.
A framework that can protect against undue influence and safeguard the balance."
The crowd murmured among themselves, their expressions a mixture of curiosity and agreement. Uv2 stepped back, and another voice from the crowd called out, "Lord Adam, why don’t you create such a system for us?"
Adam placed a hand on his temple, his thoughts momentarily distant. "I usually seek advice from Pratham in such matters," he muttered quietly to himself. Pratham, sensing his hesitation, stepped forward.
"Lord Adam," he said gently, "why don’t we all work together to create this system? That way, the burden doesn’t fall entirely on you."
Adam looked at him, his expression softening into a smile. "No," he replied. "I have an idea."
With those words, the Chapter drew to a close, leaving the hall filled with anticipation for the Creator’s next steps.
