Chapter 160: The Weight of Judgment

Chapter 160: The Weight of Judgment

The hall stood fully restored, radiating an air of renewal after the recent chaos. Its polished marble floors reflected the soft glow of chandeliers above, and the once-broken walls bore no trace of the destruction they had endured.

High-ranking officials lined the room, their faces etched with curiosity and apprehension.

Near the center, Adam stood tall, his commanding presence amplified by the black aura surrounding him.

Beside him were Pratham and Mikasa, their expressions steady, though a flicker of unease lingered in their eyes.

To Adam’s left stood Ani, her small frame almost lost amidst the grandeur of the hall. Her hands cradled Sona, who lay unconscious, her tiny figure clearly exhausted from the intense battle.

Ani’s delicate fingers gently stroked Sona’s blue pale hair, but her gaze remained fixed on Adam. His furrowed brow and tense posture mirrored the concern that now brewed in her heart.

At the center of attention, Uv1 knelt on the ground, his head bowed. His earlier defiance had been replaced with unease as Adam’s piercing eyes bore into him.

Moments ago, Uv1 had revealed that someone from Adam’s world had influenced him—a revelation that had shaken Adam to his core.

Adam’s voice, sharp and unyielding, sliced through the heavy silence. "Is that all you know?"

Uv1 raised his gaze, his expression a mixture of defiance and weariness. "I’ve told you everything I know. Beyond this, I have no answers," he said, his voice steady yet hollow.

Adam’s fists clenched at his sides, but before he could respond, Pratham’s calm voice interrupted from his right.

"Lord Adam, during the time we in this dimensional plane, we sensed no disturbances. It was only after your arrival that we began to feel subtle shifts in its balance."

Mikasa added, her voice laced with concern, "Even now, those disturbances persist. It’s as if something beyond this dimension is intruding."

Adam’s mind churned with their words. A deep frown creased his face as he rested a hand over the other, briefly pressing his knuckles to his lips in thought.

His eyes flicked toward Ani, who stood silently, her usual vibrance replaced by visible worry. Her concern pulled at him, and Adam realized that his own unease was spilling over to his companions.

With a heavy sigh, Adam lowered his hands. "This matter will have to wait," he said, his tone resolute. "For now, I must deal with you," he continued, fixing his gaze once more on Uv1, who remained kneeling before him.

Uv1 raised his head slightly, his expression a mix of confusion and resignation. Adam’s next words came with a calm finality that reverberated through the hall.

"I bestow upon you a negative title: Prisoner of This World."

As Adam spoke, a vivid purple window materialized before him. Its glowing text detailed the title’s effects:

________________________

By granting this negative title,

the subject, Uv1, will be permanently bound to this dimensional plane.

His powers must be used to sustain the plane, and should he ever rest, his body will experience unbearable pain.

Uv1 retains the ability to use his skills—Parallel Processing and Disorder—but any use of these skills to harm others within this dimension will invoke punishment from the system.

The weight of Adam’s decision bore down on the room. A second window appeared, confirming the title assignment.

Moments later, a crimson label materialized above Uv1’s head: Prisoner of This World.

Before anyone could react, Uv1’s body convulsed violently as a surge of electric energy coursed through him.

He collapsed to the ground, writhing in pain, his anguished screams echoing through the hall.

His body twisted and turned as though attempting to escape the agony that gripped him. "What have you done to me?" he cried out, his voice raw with despair.

Adam’s expression remained impassive as he addressed Uv1. "You are bound by the title and its responsibilities. It is your punishment and your duty now. Use your abilities wisely, or face the consequences."

The hall fell into a tense silence as Uv1’s screams subsided into weak groans. Adam turned away, his gaze settling on Ani.

Her worried expression struck a chord within him, and he stepped closer, his voice softening. "Ani," he said, his tone carrying a rare gentleness. "You don’t need to worry. I know when you’re upset, and it doesn’t sit well with me."

Ani stepped forward, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "I can’t help but worry about you," she admitted, her voice trembling. "You carry so much on your shoulders."

Adam offered her a small, reassuring smile. "You don’t need to. I’ve faced challenges like this before and come through. This is no different."

Despite his words, the weight of the situation lingered in the air, an unspoken tension shared by everyone present. Adam knew the matter was far from resolved, but for now, it had to rest.

The grand hall, restored to its pristine state by Adam’s divine touch, exuded an air of newfound vitality.

The once-battered walls now gleamed, the intricate designs on the pillars radiating an aura of renewal.

The space was vast, filled with key figures and the next generation of beings who had grown under Adam’s creations.

Standing at Adam’s side were Pratham and Mikasa, their expressions a mix of pride and solemnity.

Ani stood nearby, her delicate frame almost swallowed by the enormity of the hall. She cradled Sona in her hands—a petite figure who lay unconscious from the strain of the earlier battle.

Ani’s gaze, however, was fixed on Adam, worry etched on her face as she observed his furrowed brows.

Before Ani could voice her concerns, Pratham and Mikasa stepped forward. They moved with reverence, kneeling before Adam, their heads bowed.

"Lord Adam," Pratham began, his voice steady yet laden with emotion, "we know how deeply you care for this species you’ve created. We have only one request to make."

Adam’s eyes widened slightly, a flicker of surprise crossing his face. "Pratham, Mikasa," he said, his voice calm yet curious, "you’ve given so much already. If there is anything you desire, anything at all, I am ready to grant it."

Pratham exchanged a glance with Mikasa before speaking again.

"Lord Adam, we have spent countless years trying to shape this dimensional plane into a paradise—a sanctuary where you might find solace from your burdens. But we failed." His voice faltered momentarily, a tremor betraying the pain of his admission.

Adam’s expression softened, his lips parting as if to interject, but he held back, choosing instead to listen.

Pratham continued, his gaze unwavering. "Now, we have but one request. Take us with you to your world. Our children, our next generation, are capable of leading this plane. They no longer need us to guide them. But we... we wish to serve you directly, in your world."

The weight of Pratham’s words hung heavy in the air. Adam’s gaze shifted to the floor as he processed the request. Internally, he felt a pang of guilt and admiration.

These two had given everything to create a realm worthy of his vision.

Breaking the silence, Adam placed a hand on Pratham’s shoulder. A faint smile tugged at his lips.

"Pratham, Mikasa, I had already been considering this. The hardships you’ve endured here... you deserve respite. If taking you with me eases your burdens, then it shall be done. You’ve earned this, and more."

Relief washed over Pratham and Mikasa’s faces as they bowed lower. "Lord Adam," Pratham said, his voice trembling with gratitude, "you cannot imagine the joy you have given us."

Adam’s smile widened, and he looked out over the hall. "Your work here has been nothing short of extraordinary. I am proud of you both. This city, this world—it’s a testament to your dedication."

The murmurs of the crowd grew louder. Among them were Pratham and Mikasa’s children, as well as the younger siblings of UV1. One of them, a young voice, called out, "Father, Mother... are you really leaving this plane?"

Pratham turned to address the crowd, his voice steady yet gentle. "All of you are our children. Each of you was born from our efforts, from Mikasa and me. We trust you completely to carry forward our legacy. You will thrive, and you will not disappoint your Creator."

The words struck a chord with everyone present. The atmosphere turned emotional, many eyes glistening with tears. Amidst the crowd, a young figure stepped forward—a girl no older than fourteen or fifteen. Her determined steps echoed through the silent hall as she approached Adam.

Adam’s lips curled into a knowing smile. "Yuki," he said, recognizing her immediately. "I knew you’d find a way to escape UV1’s grasp. You’ve always been resourceful."

Yuki returned his smile, her eyes shining with pride. "If only you’d told me earlier that you were our Creator. It would have been the greatest honor of my life." She paused, her voice growing softer. "My parents always said our Creator would return one day. I never imagined I’d be the first to meet you."

Adam chuckled, shaking his head. "You’ve done well, Yuki. I had no doubts about you."

Pratham and Mikasa approached Yuki, their admiration evident. "You’ve made us proud," Mikasa said warmly.

Yuki, however, shook her head. "There’s still work to be done," she said resolutely.

Pratham nodded. "Yes, we know. The process starts now. We’ll ensure everyone’s will is restored."

Before they could proceed, Adam raised a hand. "No," he said firmly.

The hall fell silent, all eyes turning to him. Adam stepped forward, his figure radiating authority. "I will handle this myself."

The crowd parted as Adam moved to the center of the hall. His gaze swept over them, a mix of determination and compassion in his eyes. The Chapter closed with Adam standing tall, ready to fulfill his promise to those who had entrusted him with their future.
