I am the creator of New Life on the Earth
Chapter 159: A Systematic Revelation

Chapter 159: A Systematic Revelation

The grand hall echoed with a heavy silence, the tension thick enough to cut through.

The room, bathed in a faint golden glow from Adam’s ever-present energy, carried the weight of unresolved conflicts.

Pratham and Mikasa, having been freed from their confinement, were still adjusting to their surroundings.

Yet, they now stood firmly, their gazes locked onto the kneeling figure of UV1 at the center of the room.

Pratham’s voice shattered the silence as he stepped forward, his boots clicking sharply against the polished floor.

He stopped just a few feet away from UV1, his fists clenched tightly at his sides. His tone was sharp, almost trembling with suppressed anger.

"UV1," he began, the name laced with bitterness. "I had so much faith in you... but you didn’t just betray that trust. You shattered it. You crushed every expectation I ever had. How can I ever trust you again?"

UV1 remained motionless, his head bowed, his metallic frame reflecting the dim light. He did not respond. His silence only fueled Pratham’s frustration, but before he could say more, Mikasa stepped forward.

Her silver hair shimmered as she moved, her piercing gaze locked onto the unresponsive UV1. She spoke with a voice cold and unwavering, each word striking like a dagger.

"You didn’t just betray us," she said. "You betrayed every single one of your brothers. Your entire species. I will never forgive you, UV1."

Despite her harsh words, UV1 remained silent. His head didn’t lift, his body didn’t move. His lack of reaction gnawed at Mikasa and Pratham, who stood side by side, their emotions swirling between anger and hurt.

From a short distance away, Adam watched the confrontation unfold. His black outfit seemed to absorb the light around him, adding to his already imposing figure. His masked face betrayed no emotion, but inside, his thoughts raced.

How is this possible? he wondered, his sharp mind searching for answers. How could one of my creations turn against me? Something isn’t right here. There has to be more to this.

The idea of betrayal from one of his own weighed heavily on him, but Adam was not one to accept things at face value. He decided to confront UV1 himself, his every step calculated and deliberate.

As he began moving toward UV1, the sound of heavy doors creaking open interrupted him. The hall filled with the echoes of footsteps—many footsteps. Adam turned, his sharp gaze landing on the group entering the room.

A flood of beings poured into the hall, their presence commanding attention. Leading the group was UV2, UV1’s brother, followed by several others who had been imprisoned under UV1’s orders.

Their faces, though mechanical, displayed an unmistakable joy at the sight of Adam, Pratham, and Mikasa.

As they moved closer, their joy turned into reverence. Without hesitation, they knelt, their heads touching the ground as they greeted Adam.

"Lord Adam," they said in unison, their voices a mix of awe and gratitude. They turned to Pratham and Mikasa as well, bowing deeply in respect.

The display of reverence left Adam visibly irritated. His aura flickered slightly, a testament to his rising frustration.

"This is not the time for formalities," Adam said in a low, firm voice. His words carried authority, and the beings quickly quieted, some sitting, others standing respectfully at the edges of the hall.

The once-empty room was now crowded, the atmosphere heavy with anticipation. Everyone’s attention turned to Adam, their collective curiosity centered on what he would do next.

Adam ignored the others and walked straight to UV1, who still knelt on the cold floor. The silence was deafening as Adam stopped before him, towering over the motionless figure.

"Look up," Adam commanded, his voice steady but firm.

UV1 hesitated briefly before lifting his head. His glowing eyes met Adam’s, revealing no regret or remorse. His gaze was cold, unyielding, and utterly devoid of emotion.

Adam felt a pang of disappointment but quickly suppressed it. His instincts had already warned him that UV1 would not show regret.

I expected this, Adam thought. He won’t admit his fault, but there’s something deeper at play. I need the truth.

"What happened?" Adam asked, his voice carrying an edge of steel. "What could drive you to turn against me like this?"

For the first time, UV1 spoke. His voice was calm, almost detached.

"Lord Adam," he began, "didn’t I already tell you? This is your fault. Everything that happened—"

Adam raised a hand, cutting him off. "I’m not interested in excuses," he said sharply. "I want the real reason. Tell me the truth."

The firmness in Adam’s tone caused a flicker of surprise in UV1’s usually stoic demeanor. He took a deep breath, as though steeling himself for what he was about to say.

"If I were to say this isn’t the real reason," UV1 admitted, "I wouldn’t be entirely lying. Everything began here, yes... but it didn’t end here. I found someone, Lord Adam. Someone from your world."

The cryptic statement lingered in the air, leaving Adam and everyone else frozen in place.

---

The air in the hall was heavy, laden with an intensity that seemed to amplify every breath and every movement.

Adam’s imposing figure stood at the center of the room, the faint purple glow of his aura illuminating the metallic surfaces around him.

Before him knelt UV1, his most trusted creation turned adversary. The weight of the revelation hung thickly between them.

UV1 had just uttered the words that sent shockwaves through Adam’s mind: "Someone from your world influenced me."

Adam’s sharp intake of breath was audible, his masked face tilting ever so slightly as if to process the magnitude of what he’d heard.

For a moment, his usually composed demeanor faltered, and his eyes narrowed with a mix of disbelief and fury.

Adam’s voice cut through the silence, sharp and commanding.

"Who is it?" he demanded, his tone betraying a rare edge of frustration.

UV1, unshaken by Adam’s intensity, lifted his gaze slightly. His expression remained neutral, yet a subtle smirk crept across his face.

"At least I got to see my creator afraid," he said, his voice tinged with mockery. "It’s quite amusing, honestly."

Adam’s fists clenched at his sides, his aura flickering erratically as his anger surged. The faint hum of his energy filled the hall.

But he quickly caught himself, forcing his emotions into submission. With an exhale, he steadied his voice.

"UV1," Adam said, his tone now icy and deliberate, "I will not give you another chance. Tell me who it was. Now."

UV1’s smirk faded slightly as he let out a deep sigh. His shoulders rose and fell with the motion, the subtle sound of his mechanical frame shifting echoing in the vast hall.

"I don’t know who it was," UV1 admitted, his tone devoid of any playfulness now. "I never saw their face. I only heard their voice. They told me things about your powers—things I shouldn’t have known."

Adam’s brows furrowed beneath his mask as he processed UV1’s words.

"What things?" he pressed, his voice carrying an undercurrent of urgency.

UV1 met Adam’s gaze, his own eyes glowing faintly.

"They said," UV1 began, his voice calm and measured, "that if I wanted true power, I needed to push my emotions to their peak. Only then would the system of this world—your system—grant me what I desired."

The revelation hit Adam like a thunderclap. He froze for a moment, his mind racing to piece together what he’d just heard. My system? he thought. How could someone else know about its intricacies?

Adam’s voice dropped to a near whisper, the weight of his words filling the room.

"What... powers?" he asked, his tone almost hesitant.

UV1’s gaze hardened as he continued.

"They told me that extreme emotions—whether love or hatred—could manipulate the system you created. That by pushing my emotions to their limits, I could unlock abilities far beyond what I was meant to have. And they were right."

Adam’s eyes widened slightly, his calm façade cracking as realization dawned. He turned sharply, his black cape swirling behind him as he addressed the system itself.

"System," he said aloud, his voice laced with authority, "is it possible to gain new skills by reaching the peak of one’s emotions?"

A soft chime echoed through the room, followed by the appearance of a glowing purple window before Adam. The text on it was clear and concise:

________________________

If a creation experiences extreme emotions, there is a high probability the system will provide a skill based on their desires.

________________________

The confirmation sent a chill through Adam. His breath hitched as the implications sank in. He clenched his fists, the realization that even his own system could be turned against him gnawing at his resolve.

Adam turned back to UV1, his mind swirling with thoughts. His jaw tightened as he moved closer, lowering himself to kneel directly in front of his creation. For a moment, the hall seemed to hold its breath.

Adam placed his hands firmly on UV1’s shoulders, his gaze piercing through the glowing orbs of UV1’s eyes.

"Tell me everything," Adam said, his voice low but resolute. "I need to know every detail about this man. What did they say? What did they do? Spare nothing."

UV1 hesitated, his mechanical body stiffening under Adam’s touch. Yet, after a brief pause, he sighed deeply, as if resigning himself to the task.

"When I first saw the deaths of my people," UV1 began, his voice heavy with bitterness, "I was overcome with despair. I thought of you constantly, hoping you would come and fix everything. But when you didn’t come, I couldn’t take it anymore. I left the city. I wandered aimlessly, drowning in my own hopelessness."

Adam listened intently, his grip tightening ever so slightly on UV1’s shoulders.

"That’s when I first heard the voice," UV1 continued. "It wasn’t a physical presence—it was in my mind. It spoke to me, telling me about you. About your limitations. It said that even you couldn’t save the dead. It told me about the system—about how it could grant me power if I embraced my emotions. It convinced me that everything was your fault, that you were the reason for our suffering."

UV1’s voice grew colder as he spoke.

"Over time, I began to hate you. Slowly, steadily, that hatred consumed me. And then, months later, I unlocked two new skills—skills I used to defeat my own creators and take control of this dimensional plane."

Adam sat back slightly, his mind reeling from UV1’s confession. The implications of this mysterious figure’s knowledge were staggering.

Not only does this person understand the system, Adam thought, but they can communicate with my creations. Who are they? And what do they want?

His thoughts were interrupted by the weight of the situation pressing down on him. For the first time in a long while, Adam felt a pang of unease. This was no ordinary threat—it was one that could upend everything he had built.

As Adam processed the gravity of UV1’s words, the hall remained silent. Every being present watched him with bated breath, waiting for his next move.

But Adam said nothing. His mind was already racing ahead, strategizing, analyzing, and preparing for what lay ahead.

Chapter End

The Chapter closed on Adam, his thoughts clouded by the revelation of an unseen adversary. Somewhere out there was someone who not only understood his world but was actively working to dismantle it. And for the first time, Adam felt the weight of an enemy he could not see.
