Chapter 132: The Path of Absolute Power of UV1

The cavern was eerily silent now, save for the faint echoes of Adam’s own breathing.

Everyone else had already left, their footsteps long since faded into the distance.

Standing alone in the dimly lit space, Adam let out a deep breath, his thoughts heavy with the weight of their mission.

"It’s time for me to leave too," he muttered to himself. Slowly, he raised both hands into the air. A soft hum filled the cavern as his body lifted off the ground, suspended effortlessly in the air.

Turning toward the only entrance—the same one his group had used to infiltrate this base—Adam propelled himself forward with a swift motion. His movements were precise, his focus sharp as he darted through the twisting paths of the cavern.

The tunnels were dark, their walls rough and jagged. Adam’s eyes glinted as he extended his hand, conjuring optical traps at various points along the way. Pulsating waves of light shimmered briefly before settling into invisibility, creating barriers that would disorient and delay any pursuing soldiers.

As he neared the exit, Adam’s thoughts wandered to the challenges ahead. A fleeting smirk crossed his face. "Let’s see them deal with that," he murmured, his voice tinged with determination.

Finally, he reached the entrance. The same place he had sealed earlier to prevent intrusions now stood before him—a seemingly unremarkable, old-fashioned wall. Hovering mid-air, Adam extended his hand. A faint ripple spread across the surface, and the wall shifted, revealing an opening large enough for him to pass through.

Without hesitation, Adam surged forward, his body a blur as he shot through the opening and soared upward into the open sky.

---

The crisp air hit Adam’s face as he ascended rapidly, the cavern now far below him. Higher and higher he climbed, the earth shrinking beneath him until it was little more than a patchwork of muted colors.

As the wind rushed past him, Adam closed his eyes for a brief moment, letting the sensation wash over him. The sheer freedom of flight was unlike anything he had ever experienced before.

It was exhilarating. His arms stretched outward, embracing the sky as he pushed himself to greater speeds.

Breaking the sound barrier with ease, Adam flew eastward. The sun hung low in the sky, its warm rays casting a golden glow over the horizon. Behind him, the distant silhouette of a sprawling city came into view.

The city was vast, its advanced architecture a testament to its inhabitants’ ingenuity. Sleek, metallic structures gleamed in the sunlight, and countless flying cars zipped through the air in organized patterns. However, Adam noticed something peculiar: all the vehicles remained confined within the city’s perimeter.

A single, glowing blue line stretched outward from the city like a lifeline—a train track that pulsed with energy. The track shimmered faintly, its brilliance contrasting sharply with the industrial hues of the city.

"Must be their primary energy source," Adam thought, his mind briefly wandering to the technological marvels that powered this world.

His gaze shifted toward the city’s center, where a massive tower loomed above all else. At its peak was a glowing orb, radiating an intense blue light that seemed to pulse with unimaginable energy. Even from this distance, Adam could feel the raw power emanating from it.

But he couldn’t afford distractions. Turning his attention back to his mission, Adam veered away from the city, leaving its mysteries behind as he pressed onward.

Meanwhile, high above the city, Sona hovered silently, her wings beating rhythmically as she observed the bustling metropolis below. Her keen eyes scanned the landscape, searching for the cultural center Adam had mentioned.

Sona’s small frame belied her speed as she darted through the air, her movements too swift for most of the city’s sensors to detect. The buildings blurred beneath her as she weaved through the towering structures with ease.

Finally, she spotted her destination—a massive complex of interconnected buildings that exuded an air of authority. Without hesitation, she descended rapidly, slipping inside through an open skylight.

The interior was vast and imposing, filled with yellow-suited figures moving with mechanical precision. Sona’s sharp eyes quickly identified them as members of the artificial intelligence species Adam had warned her about.

Among them were children—small, wide-eyed beings who clung to the AI figures for guidance. Their curiosity was evident in their gaze, but something about them felt restrained, as if an unseen force was suppressing their natural wonder.

Sona frowned, her wings fluttering slightly as she observed the scene. The sight of the children stirred something within her—a sense of responsibility. Determined to intervene, she resolved to ensure that these beings, young and old alike, were treated with the dignity and rights they deserved.

---

Elsewhere, Ani led a small group through the city. Behind her, a line of children followed, their small footsteps echoing softly against the metallic ground.

A young boy, no older than twelve, tugged at Ani’s sleeve. "Sister, how much farther do we have to go?" he asked, his voice tinged with exhaustion.

Ani turned, offering him a reassuring smile. "Not much farther," she said gently. "Just a little more, and we’ll be there."

As she resumed walking, Ani’s thoughts drifted to Adam’s words. The dimensional plane they now inhabited was fragile, its stability hanging by a thread. She knew how much Adam cared about protecting it, and that knowledge only strengthened her resolve.

When Adam had entrusted her with the responsibility of escorting the children, Ani had been elated. It wasn’t just a task—it was a chance to prove herself, to contribute meaningfully to Adam’s mission.

"I won’t let him down," Ani thought, her determination evident in her steady stride. She glanced back at the children, their innocent faces a stark reminder of what was at stake.

With renewed focus, Ani pressed onward, her mind set on completing the task ahead.

The scene shifted abruptly to the heart of a grand conference room. UV1, a towering figure emanating an aura of authority, sat at the head of a sleek black table.

The room was dimly lit, with holographic projections flickering faintly across its surface, casting eerie shadows on the walls.

All of UV1’s key subordinates were present, save for UV5, whose absence went unnoticed amid the pressing matters at hand.

One of the men, seated near the end of the table, broke the silence. "Father, we’ve identified the source of the disturbance."

UV1 turned his cold gaze toward the man, his expression unreadable. "Then why do you look so tense?" he asked, his voice sharp and commanding.

The man exhaled deeply before replying, his voice laced with apprehension. "The disturbance originated in a sector currently occupied by the rebellious group."

UV1’s face darkened at the mention of the rebels, his mind churning with a mix of frustration and resolve. After a brief pause, he asked, "Why haven’t we taken action yet?"

The subordinate straightened his posture, his demeanor rigid. "Our forces are prepared to strike, Father. They’re ready to move at any moment."

UV1’s eyes narrowed, his voice rising in anger. "I don’t want them ready to strike at any moment. I want them to attack now. This very moment!"

The man flinched at the sharpness in UV1’s tone. Without hesitation, he rose from his seat, bowed his head deeply, and exited the room to carry out the order.

As the subordinate left, UV1 turned his attention to the second row of officials seated before him. His icy gaze scanned their faces, each one reflecting varying degrees of fear and tension.

"How much progress have you made on the weapon?" UV1 asked, his voice steady but laden with authority.

One of the officials stood up, his voice trembling slightly. "Father, the weapon is 70% complete. We require more time to finish it."

UV1 raised his hand abruptly, silencing the man before he could elaborate further. "Time?" he growled. "I don’t have time. You will bring it to 80% purity today, no matter what it takes. I want it delivered and operational by the end of the day. Do you understand?"

The official’s face paled as he tried to protest. However, the sheer intensity of UV1’s glare froze him mid-sentence.

The oppressive aura emanating from UV1 suffocated the room, leaving no room for dissent. Bowing his head deeply, the official stammered, "I won’t disappoint you, Father," before hastily leaving the room.

As the tension lingered in the room, another figure broke the silence. This man was younger, his presence less imposing but equally significant. It was UV3, UV1’s younger brother.

UV3 leaned back in his chair, arms crossed over his chest, his expression one of defiance. "You’ve been doing as you please for years," he said, his voice cutting through the room like a blade. "That’s why this dimensional plane has become so unstable. Do you even realize what will happen if your plan fails? We’ll all perish!"

UV1 turned to his brother, his jaw tightening. His eyes blazed with barely restrained fury. "How many times must I remind you to address me as ’Father’ in public?" he thundered. "Can’t you see the title I bear?"

UV3 remained unfazed, his eyes closed in a gesture of indifference. His posture remained relaxed, his arms still crossed as he ignored his brother’s outburst.

UV1 took a deep breath, his anger simmering beneath the surface. He regarded his brother’s defiance with a mix of disdain and frustration. Finally, he said, "I know exactly what I’m doing. Once my weapon is complete, I’ll have absolute power. With that power, I will stabilize this dimensional plane. I won’t need to follow the whims of any Creator."

His voice rose with conviction, and an invisible force radiated outward, sending waves of energy rippling through the room.

The officials seated nearby instinctively stiffened, their faces etched with fear as the oppressive force pressed down on them.

UV3 opened his eyes, his gaze meeting UV1’s with calm defiance. But he said nothing, choosing instead to let his silence speak volumes.

As UV1’s aura subsided, he turned his attention back to the holographic display on the table, his mind already racing toward the execution of his plans. The room fell into an uneasy silence, the weight of the conversation lingering heavily in the air.

And with that, the Chapter concluded, leaving the fate of the dimensional plane hanging in the balance.
