I Am Extraordinary Alone
Chapter 302 - 300 Coming from Afar

Chapter 302: Chapter 300 Coming from Afar

Wei Tianyang followed the map’s guidance, heading north through objective reality. With the speed of his horse, he covered over 40 kilometers in just tens of seconds.

The chitin ground in objective reality was solid and indestructible; neither his speed nor his footsteps caused any damage.

The scenery around him changed from wilderness to city, and the black silhouettes became denser.

Wei Tianyang knew he had entered the city, so he exited objective reality and appeared suddenly among a crowd.

Surrounding him were zombies, shambling towards the mountains beneath the moon, murmuring as if they were famished pilgrims, weak but resolute.

Wei Tianyang’s abrupt appearance went unnoticed by them; the zombies slowly walked past him, their hollow black eyes fixed forward.

Wei Tianyang observed these creatures closely and noticed their facial features had greatly mutated beyond what was displayed in the photos.

Cheeks still sunken, but with protruding mouths, noses covering two-thirds of their faces, long and pointed heads, black hair growing on their cheeks, hairy ears that were also long and pointed, eyes gradually expanding outward, increasing the space between them, pupils turning red, and the sclera turning completely black.

If one had to say, their appearance was gradually shifting towards that of a black sheep.

First the head, would their bodies mutate next?

And right after he had exited, his mind was filled with a cacophony of thoughts.

"Return to the flesh sea, build my body."

"Eat eat eat, devour them all, form a grand army."

"Where is the one who shattered me? It perished before me!"

...

The sources of these thoughts were strange. Each word came from a different zombie, but put together, they formed complete sentences.

In other words, their thoughts originated from one entity, these zombies were all controlled by it?

"Hey?!" Wei Tianyang shouted at the surrounding zombies.

They all turned to look at him, their crimson pupils now elongated slits, no longer human eyes.

"You."

A zombie beside him spoke, its voice muffled, uttering just one word.

"Not run."

"Uh?"

Two others supplemented the dialogue over the next two seconds, creating a complete sentence.

Wei Tianyang realized they were speaking the Yin Country language, which he could understand.

"What are you?" Wei Tianyang asked.

"You."

"Inscrutable."

"You."

"Unconquerable."

"Will eventually."

"Destroy you."

The zombies around him spoke one after another.

"There must be a name, right?" Wei Tianyang said.

"Baf."

"Mef."

"Met."

They emitted a string of incomprehensible sounds.

"Baphomet?" Wei Tianyang repeated.

"No!!"

"No no no!!!"

The zombies roared in anger.

"Your."

"Mouth."

"Can’t pronounce."

"Syllables."

The zombies continued.

"Why have you come here?" Wei Tianyang asked.

"You have it."

"Different."

"Blood."

"Come see."

"Me."

The zombies said.

Wei Tianyang didn’t reply; his right hand extended the Bone Knife and pierced through sixteen zombies beside him, skewering them. Then, with an upward flick of his right arm, he sliced the skewered zombies into strips.

They lay on the ground, motionless.

"Can’t kill them?" Wei Tianyang sneered.

But a few seconds later, the zombies on the ground vanished without a trace.

Wei Tianyang realized something; he accessed objective reality, and those sixteen zombies were also there.

Their clothes had fallen off, their bodies pitch black, the upper halves covered with hair, faces increasingly resembling those of black goats, only lacking a pair of horns.

"Yes."

"You."

"Shattered."

"Each other’s."

"That."

"We meet again."

The zombies said.

Wei Tianyang’s pupils contracted; these emotions... did they know Zero Nine One?!

"Did we fight each other before?" Wei Tianyang asked.

"You."

"Still aren’t."

"Him!"

The zombies roared.

Wei Tianyang extended the Bone Knife once more; his right arm pulled through the vibrating wind, cutting the sixteen zombies before him in half at the waist.

Their bodies bled no blood; from the wounds, only black ash drifted out and then vanished into thin air.

Wei Tianyang exited objective reality, only to see the sixteen zombies sitting on the ground, with clear cut marks on their waists but shakily, slowly rising from the ground.

"You!"

"Still aren’t!"

"Him!"

All the zombies roared and lunged at Wei Tianyang together.

In that instant, Wei Tianyang knelt on one knee, wrapped in a black shield. Then, the already dim light around was sucked away, and the city center plunged into three seconds of darkness. After that, the black Zero Nine One appeared on the streets.

Its massive body made the twenty-nine-story office buildings look like toys; the tops of the buildings barely reached its belly button. Its right hand raised unconsciously, crushing a whole row of houses.

Wei Tianyang had become Zero Nine One, and then, another giant moth crawled on Zero Nine One’s back, their eyes sharing a vision.

He extended his left leg, occupying the entire highway, transforming the commercial district of the entire city into ruins.

Wei Tianyang looked at the dense zombies on the streets, rage erupting in his heart; he raised his right fist and hammered down. The impact not only created a crater the size of a soccer field, but the tremors also rivaled an aftershock, sending thousands of zombies to the realm of objective reality.

And more zombies, like ants, slowly clambered onto Zero Nine One’s thighs.

Wei Tianyang tried to stand, propping himself up with his right hand, bending his left knee, and slowly stretching his body. His movements were not fast; in fact, they were quite clumsy.

He hadn’t yet learned to nimbly control this giant body; operating it felt like a novice operating a tower crane, even turning was difficult, either not using enough force or too much of it.

Once he stood on one leg, the height of his field of vision surpassed his imagination; he could see almost half of the city, and in the distance, against the side of the black mountain range, a mass of black flesh awaited him.

Wei Tianyang tried to walk over but then remembered that he had no right leg, and he suddenly face-planted onto the ground.

In a moment of urgency, he quickly extended his right hand to brace against the ground; then, the ground collapsed beneath him, the concrete cracked, the soil layers dissolved, and beneath was a hollow structure – a subway.

However, the collapse didn’t stop there; his right palm continued to sink, below was the city’s drainage system, then the air-raid shelters...

With one palm, he made a sixty-meter-deep pit in the ground, and Wei Tianyang lay there entirely.

He pulled his hand out of the pit and then, bending his left knee, stood upright again, but he could only move forward in an awkward sitting motion, certainly not a graceful sight.

However, this was more efficient; due to his huge size, he moved much further than a human body could, and for the same reason, the several tens of kilometers from the city center to the southern mountain range was just a few minutes’ walk for him.

Different creatures have completely different conceptions of time and space, and Wei Tianyang firmly believed this.
