I Am Extraordinary Alone
Chapter 124 - 123: Unexpected Teleportation

Chapter 124: Chapter 123: Unexpected Teleportation

Kacha held Yaha in his arms as he ran to the top floor of the hospital.

The iron door leading to the rooftop was locked. He pulled out his gun, shot the copper lock, and burst through the iron door onto the rooftop.

The glaring afternoon sun made it hard for him to open his eyes. After walking just a few steps, he saw several tear gas grenades being thrown onto the rooftop. They burst open, releasing clouds of green smoke.

Tears poured down his face as the choking, pungent odor made it impossible for him to breathe.

Kacha took off his jacket and wrapped the upper half of Yaha’s body in it.

"Kacha... surrender... Hand me over to them, and they might spare your life," Yaha cried.

She had lost all hope, her eyes no longer sparkling with life.

Yaha remembered the swagger when they first escaped the containment center, her magic hands healing everyone’s wounds, how she provided for the group’s food, clothing, shelter, and travel with her abilities as they wandered with Starbucks.

Later, she met people from Red Pharmaceutical and became their hidden blade up the sleeve.

The promised future, the anticipated career, all had vanished into thin air, and her companions had been killed one by one right before her eyes.

Ishmael was right; they would never fulfill their promises...

Kacha shook his head and said, "No... Yaha, I will be with you to the end!"

The PMC had already rushed onto the rooftop. Yaha watched Kacha charge forward, and then that frail body burst open with blood and finally lay on the ground.

She lay on her side, watching the cautious group of PMC approaching her.

"Target spotted... My God, where are her hands?"

"Careful, the target has superpowers. Tie her up!"

"Everyone, assemble on the rooftop!"

Yaha heard the crowd around her chattering about something. She closed her eyes and gave up resistance entirely.

"Bravo Team, go set the phone bombs in the rooms."

"We’ve finished setting them up, and the monitors are in place."

"Rooftop assembly, prepare for teleportation."

A special forces soldier, decked out in high-tech gear, pressed one knee into Yaha’s back, his hand on her head.

"3, 2..."

She felt darkness engulf her vision, and the next second, she found herself in a strange hotel lobby.

And before her eyes, besides a heap of PMC, was Moby Dick!

"Look what little beast has come. It seems we have a little bitch who’s lost her claws," Moby Dick said with a laugh.

Wuliang Airport.

More and more PMC soldiers arrived in Chicken Snake Country on military planes. Li Songyan recognized several company logos.

Without the consent and approval of major powers, these PMCs wouldn’t dare come here so boldly.

The United Council’s peacekeeping forces were few in number. Li Songyan had a brief conversation with their commander, who gave him a vague excuse: They were merely there for show and couldn’t restrain the PMCs.

The medical team couldn’t reach Kongse. Given the circumstances, Wei Tianyang had no choice but to compromise.

"Go back and bring Yaha over, or better yet, bring all your people. We’ll take a plane out of here, to the United Council territory. We’ll deal with what comes later... later," Li Songyan said.

Wei Tianyang nodded.

Li Songyan’s Jeep could only seat four people, clearly too small. He miraculously managed to borrow the keys to a minibus from the medical team’s driver, though by means unknown.

The two of them drove for over two more hours before they hurried back to Kongse.

By the time of their return, it was already afternoon.

Just as they drove into the city, they saw pedestrians on the streets all pointing in one direction. They also spotted a few local security bureau vehicles parked on the side of the road, with security officers standing with hands on hips in front of the vehicles, apparently discussing something.

After driving for a while longer, I realized the hospital was surrounded by security officers.

Oh no...

Wei Tianyang’s heart sank, and he quickly got out of the car and rushed over. Two officers attempted to stop him, but he pushed them away several meters with one hand.

He entered the hospital and saw burn marks on the ground, with several security officers taking photos in the lobby. He went up to the fourth floor, where bloodstains were on the floor of the corridor...

"Yaha!!" he yelled, dashing to the door of the ward,

just about to enter when he caught a pungent, ominous smell.

He stood at the door and saw the hospital bed was empty, save for a black cell phone...

Wei Tianyang then cautiously looked up at the ceiling of the ward and noticed a small black camera in the corner near the window, aimed directly at the entrance.

At that moment, the phone, as if on cue, started ringing.

Wei Tianyang stood at the entrance, not stepping in, but kept his gaze on the camera.

Meanwhile, in the ruins of a hotel in Wuliang City, Alfred, Elizabeth, the Superpower Special Department, several commanders from PMC, and Moby Dick also watched the screen attentively.

They all looked on, making eye contact with Wei Tianyang through the screen.

"Is that him? Just a kid," Elizabeth leaned closer to the television and commented.

"He must have sensed something, which is why he’s reluctant to enter," the leader of the special forces said.

"How big is the blast radius of our bomb? Where did you place it?" Elizabeth asked.

"To preserve the body, we only used a quarter of the usual charge; it’s under the bed," replied the leader of the special forces.

"A quarter... Is his current position within the lethal range?" Alfred inquired.

"It’s a directional bomb. The shrapnel will shoot upwards in a column upon detonation, which would blow through the bed if he were by the window, he’d be killed instantly. But from where he stands now... no, it won’t reach him," the leader of the special forces shook his head.

"Can’t you teleport over now for a surprise attack?" Elizabeth asked.

"This teleportation ability requires a photo to confirm the target; we can’t be precise enough to appear right behind him... and... we’ve run out of the neutralizer," the leader of the special forces explained.

"Why can’t you go back later and administer that thing?" Elizabeth pressed.

"Then they would have to help us collect the bodies," said the leader of the special forces.

During this exchange, Wei Tianyang suddenly vanished from the screen, then appeared beside the bed.

"Teleportation! Quick, detonate it!!" urged the leader of the special forces.

But the next second, Wei Tianyang grabbed the phone and vanished once again, followed by an explosion. The bed split in two, soared into the air, and hit the ceiling.

After a cloud of smoke cleared, the room was left empty.

"Fuck!! We almost had him!!" Moby Dick now shouted excitedly, drawing sideways glances from everyone.

"It’s nothing... I just got a bit too caught up in the moment," Moby Dick said with a laugh.

"See? Instant teleportation! That level of precise teleportation!" the leader of the special forces said with excitement.

"He didn’t make any hand gestures, and there were no movements... Just teleported like that? You need a countdown for your teleportation..." Elizabeth was also surprised.

"That’s the one mentioned in the intelligence files! That’s why I told you, we only had one chance to attack him, and if we missed, my advice was to teleport and retreat immediately," the leader of the special forces stated, arms crossed.

Having witnessed Wei Tianyang’s teleportation directly through the screen, everyone in the room fell silent.

Alfred spoke up, "We need to change our plan. The description of his teleportation ability in the intelligence files wasn’t detailed enough... too brief to make a correct judgment."

The others nodded.

His teleportation had no warning nor after-effects, and it was practically impossible to track. Combined with his other abilities, no team could stand against him in a direct confrontation.

"Do we have a contingency plan?" Alfred looked at Elizabeth.

"Of course, we have two people he most wants to get back," Elizabeth said, glancing at Moby Dick and at Yaha, who was lying on his side in the corner of the room, pinned under the foot of a PMC officer.
