On her first day at work, Suizi was sent to buy some items by the principal.

Most of them were office supplies. The Department Store was a distance away from the night school, and there was no public transportation available. It would take about forty minutes to walk there.

Suizi suspected strongly that this was the principal’s revenge for not getting the ribs.

Yu Jingting had gone to the construction site on a tractor early in the morning and hadn’t returned by noon, very likely because he had obtained more work to do.

"A little." Though Suizi was usually strong, seeing how worried he was about her made her feel so wronged that tears couldn’t stop falling from her eyes. Seeing Suizi’s tears made Yu Jingting’s heart feel like it was being fried on a pan.

"Right, a kind person helped me—huh, where did she go?" Remembering that the kind stranger was behind her, Suizi turned to look back. But the woman was nowhere to be seen.

She must have left without revealing her name after doing a good deed.

"I really wanted to thank her, why did she leave so suddenly?"

Although for that lady, it was just a simple act of kindness, it made a difference for both her and the baby’s fate. Suizi regretted she couldn’t say thank you.
