I am chasing a rough man in the 80s -
Chapter 178: Waste Utilization
Chapter 178: Chapter 178: Waste Utilization
The glass that had just been installed in the Principal’s house was again shattered to pieces.
Suizi looked at Yu Jingting.
Yu Jingting shrugged innocently.
He’d been with her dining indoors all the while.
From the Principal’s house’s vantage point, unless a slingshot could make a curve.
So, who did this?
The Principal stood amidst the shattered glass, showing a face of utter disappointment.
"Zhang Yue’e! You useless brat, don’t think you could hide at your workplace, come out!"
A man, around twenty something, quarrelsome, stood at the door with a baseball bat tucked in his waistband, and a brick in his hand.
He was the one who broke the Principal’s glass.
"Zhang Yue’e indeed is a teacher in our school, but she hasn’t reported yet, stop causing trouble here." the Principal wisely shouted from a distant spot.
"You dare to hire that bitch Zhang Yue’e, I’ll come here every day to cause trouble and make sure your school shuts down!" the man continued to curse.
Yu Jingting chuckled.
Leaning close to Suizi’s ear to whisper:
"See, city hooligans are nothing compared to me. When I used to fight at Wang’s house, I never involved others!"
"..." Suizi didn’t reply.
Is this inferiority complex for a street hooligan?
If she handed him a pen, could he write a book titled "On the Self-cultivation of Street Tenants"?
"This is a formal institution, you can’t cause a scene here." the Principal tried to reason.
The big yellow dog tethered at the door, upon seeing the trouble, tucked its tail between its legs, showing no signs of defending the territory.
Like master like dog, act tough on the weak but back down before the tough.
"Zhang Yue’e even dares to trick her own brother, I won’t let you guys rest if you dare to use her! I’ll be back tomorrow!"
The man spat out those fierce words before turning to leave.
The Principal, wiping his forehead slick with cold sweat, looked at the broken glass and wanted to cry but had no tears. These few days had been spent fixing all the glass.
"Who are these people...And all of you just stood there?!" He turned and vented his anger to Yu Jingting, Suizi, and the others.
Wang Mengmeng peeked from behind Suizi and softly retorted:
"Principal, we were also scared. What’s his problem? Should we call the police?"
"What’s the use of calling the police? If we irritate him, what do we do if he comes every day to cause trouble?"
The Principal was fuming inside and started cursing Zhang Yue’e.
"This Zhang Yue’e is magnet for trouble. She couldn’t stay at her old workplace anymore and was transferred here, and before she even arrived, she managed to attract trouble!"
"Principal, what’s going on with Zhang Yue’e’s family?" Wang Mengmeng was curious.
Suizi was listening at the side.
Zhang Yue’e was another colleague staying in the dormitory, Suizi hadn’t seen her since she hadn’t arrived yet.
The Principal had a temper and took the chance to gossip.
Zhang Yue’e was originally working in the City Education Bureau, which was much better than the night school. She was moved to the night school, equivalent to being demoted, because people kept causing trouble.
"So why do her family members always cause trouble? Is she messing around?" Wang Mengmeng continued asking.
"Not exactly, it has something to do with her house."
As a male, the Principal was better at gossiping than women, Yu Jinging, listening with a face full of disdain, didn’t like this hearsay about others. He wanted to pull Suizi inside.
But Suizi didn’t move and seemed interested in the gossip.
Yu Jingting rolled his eyes, went into the house to clear up the dishes by himself, and brought a coat for Suizi, in case she got cold.
Wang Mengmeng saw Yu Jingting romantically attending to Suizi and a hint of envy fleeted through her eyes. A fine man indeed, but he came from the countryside, what a pity.
After listening for a while, Suizi had understood.
This unseen colleague, Zhang Yue’e, is simply an unlucky harbinger.
Her birth father had favoured boys over girls and sent her away for adoption when she was a child.
Her adoptive parents had good conditions, arranged work for her, and treated her as one of their own.
Last year, her adoptive parents passed away one after the other, leaving a house for Zhang Yue’e.
The house is right in the urban area, close to the City Government, with good surroundings. It’s a three-bedroom house, with good primary and secondary school in the vicinity.
Upon hearing the news, her birth parents immediately came to cause trouble.
They demanded that she give away her job position to her biological brother and also hand over the house.
Though there is the matter of carrying on their father’s line, the Education Bureau has qualifications for studies. Her brother didn’t even finish primary education, so it’s not possible at all.
Zhang Yue’e wasn’t willing to give up the house and her job, so her biological parents along with her brother and a few shrew sisters-in-law would cause trouble at her workplace every now and then.
They claimed that they would make sure Zhang Yue’e couldn’t stay in the same place.
The Education Bureau couldn’t bear it anymore, so they transferred her to the night school. She probably also wanted to avoid these harbingers of bad luck. She didn’t dare to stay in her original house and wanted to shift over to stay on campus.
The bad luck followed her even before she moved.
After hearing this, Suizi had a bellyful of anger.
What kind of people are these? They send away their own daughter because they don’t want to bring her up and plunder when they see she’s doing well. These people are simply sickening.
"We should report this to the higher-ups. We can’t keep Zhang Yue’e, we’re just about to start school, can we really bear the trouble caused by this mess every day?"
"Principal, let’s call the police. We can’t sustain such terrible tendencies." Suizi felt sympathy for the colleague she hadn’t met.
She didn’t do anything wrong, but got turned into a pariah like this.
"It’s useless, the Education Bureau has also called the police before, but then the family paraded around with a paralyzed old man, crying directly at the Bureau’s door, saying that the Bureau was forcing them to die, the police took them and criticized the education system. A bunch of people crying in funerals at the principal’s front door, aren’t this just troublemakers?"
When faced with people without shame, just locking them up for a few days and giving a few criticisms is just nothing to them. The next time they cause more trouble.
After hearing all these things about Zhang Yue’e, Suizi had an idea.
Perhaps, she could use the opportunity of Zhang Yue’e’s family causing trouble to trick Yu Jingting into attending class.
"Jingting, the Principal said there’s some trouble with the English teacher, after school starts, let me teach English for a while, so I’ll have classes at night."
After going back to the room, Suizi spoke to Jingting.
"Tired?"
"It’s just one class, not really tired, but I’m scared....you saw, the man causing trouble tonight was so fierce, what if he disturbs the class?"
"What’s the big deal, I’ll go with you."
Yu Jingting fell for it, and Suizi hurriedly bit her lips to suppress her urge to giggle.
"But, you hate attending classes so much, for me....well, you can’t sleep in class, it’ll set a bad example."
When Yu Jingting heard about not being able to sleep, his expression froze remarkably.
"No worries, I’ll endure, I just cannot be scared into tears."
Yu Jingting’s face became harder, thinking about his cute chubby wife shivering with fear, his heart ached.
"If I can’t sleep, I can’t sleep, I’ll go that’s it."
Suizi turned her back towards him and giggled secretly, when he circled around to see her face, she switched back to the worried wife.
"Jingting, you’re really too good to me."
She would also be good to him, spur him on, academic qualifications, bring it on.
Suizi just wanted to take advantage of Zhang Yue’e’s family causing trouble to prompt Yu Jingting, but unexpectedly, this family brought her and Yu Jingting a huge benefit.
