Within the confines of Iron’s Keep, the familiar echoes of iron striking against iron continued without pause as Dhuhtia, the God of Blacksmithing, went about the task assigned to him by Vessina with fervor.

Even as the area above shook, signaling a strange occurrence, he did not divert from his task, his eyes glowing as he muttered softly.

A frightening divine voice was imprinted on space from beyond the Boundary, causing the Will of the World to tremble and the ridiculously tall and slender humanoid to grip his cane tightly.

Looking back, He confirmed that His Apostles were gone, leaving behind the carnival, which was His divine kingdom, as well as the terrifying cannon firing the black light of decreation.

Satisfied with this, He turned back toward the ruined Boundary, awaiting His foe who arrived not too long after.

Khanna floated just outside the Boundary, Her gaze focused on Kiesan while She made no attempts to stop the black ray currently destroying Her kingdom.

Kiesan took off his top hat and in a gentlemanly manner, bowed as He greeted Her.

Greetings to the master of machinery and the Queen of technology. It is an honor.

Khanna glared at Him while keeping an eye on the black ray cannon.

In Her eyes, it posed the most danger as it was unknown, with technology that She couldn’t interfere with.

Even stopping it didn’t seem a feasible option, which meant She had to find a way to destroy the machine, but She had a feeling it was a trap.

Stop that machine this instant and I will spare your life.

If He had a face, Kiesan perhaps would have flashed a mocking grin as He replied.

Khanna glared at Him before proceeding to transform.

Her human form gave way to a three-meter giantess with three faces, six hands, and ten legs. About her, an active volcano range appeared with lava continuously bathing the landscape.

Seeing this, Kiesan gripped His cane even tighter as he prepared for the inevitable clash.

Just as Khanna conjured a large brass hammer with copious amounts of steam rushing out from behind Her, Kiesan raised his hand and then... snapped.

Khanna didn’t even hesitate to switch from offense to defense as She immediately realized that something bad was about to happen.

The next moment, the terrifying black ray cannon imploded, spreading a black ray of decreation, destroying everything in its path, including Kiesan.

Kiesan!!!!

Khanna roared as the explosion covered everything.

What remained in the space beyond the Boundary was a desolate area covered in black crystal which looked oddly similar to Quillion.

The explosion radius would have been bigger, perhaps covering up to ten percent of land in Henos if Khanna had not sacrificed a good amount of her divinity to keep it in check.

She was kneeling at the edge of the area in her human form, a full half of Her body having suffered horrifying wounds.

This was the first time since Her battle against Dhuhtia that She had obtained such terrifying wounds but it was worse than that because whatever that black energy was, it was currently coursing through Her like a poison, weakening Her by the second.

Without getting treatment, She wouldn’t have long to live.

But then what sort of treatment could She possibly conjure when She had no idea what the black energy was in the first place?

She stared at what appeared to be the remains of Kiesan but She could tell the bastard was not dead.

He was perhaps the only deity that could fool existence by creating another body to replace Him should He die.

She tried to speak only for black blood to leak from her mouth, staining the ground beneath her with a sizzle.

Slowly She got to Her feet only to fall back down, unable to get back up again.

A mocking laugh escaped Her lips as She wondered when was the last time She felt so weak.

Taking a deep breath, several Automatons quickly flew over from within the Boundary to aid Her, helping her back into Cinerath which had suffered irreparable damage due to the ray of decreation, with the destroyed areas also being covered in black crystal.

Seeing this, Khanna waved her hand and just like that, the damaged area detached from the entirety of Cinerath before it began to float away, quickly vanishing into the void.

Once done, the Automatons took her to her workshop and placed her in a pool of liquid brass before leaving.

Alex didn’t know when only that he had fallen asleep from exhaustion only to be awoken by a strange noise.

He instinctively raised his head just in time to watch as the brass chains holding up his cage were pulled up, before vanishing into the ceiling above, leaving Ana and Ulysses behind.

When he came to, he realized he was back in the workshop where he had met the Goddess.

He expected to see the Goddess again but the person he met seemed noticeably different.

Though in the likeness of the Goddess’ human form, there was a mechanical aspect to it that couldn’t be hidden from someone with a keen eye like him.

"I’m guessing my time is up."

"Indeed it is, but I wish to make you an offer. If you complete a task, then I would be more than happy to free you and your friends."

Alex raised a brow, rather curious as to why she would change her mind.

Did it perhaps have anything to do with the turbulence from not too long ago?

"Are you interested?" ’Khanna’ asked, with Alex replying.

"What’s the task?"

"A drop of water from the Fountain. Retrieve it for me and we will part ways."

"I see," Alex remarked. "Fine then, since it’s just that, then I guess it can be done."

"Good. I will personally lead you to the entrance of where it is being kept."

"Take my teammates out of their cells first."

"As you wish."

And with that, two familiar faces suddenly appeared within the workshop, their expressions marred with hostility as they glared at ’Khanna’.
