Chapter 83: Chapter 83: Can You Do It?
Chapter 83
Diego Willis took a step back consciously, "Where are you going? I can take you there faster."
He pointed at his car.
Chloe Collins was about to leave when she suddenly had an idea. She turned her head and looked at Diego with a meaningful gaze.
"Do you want to do well in this month’s exam?"
Diego nodded, "I really want to! I’ve been studying hard this week."
Apart from proving himself, another reason he wanted to do well was to prove to his parents that his early love life wouldn’t affect his grades, so he had been particularly hardworking these days.
Chloe got off her bike and lifted her chin, "Go open your trunk."
Diego: "Why, you want me to drive you?"
"Helping you review."
Chloe Collins handed him her bike and walked towards his car.
Diego Willis had a beaming face and immediately began stuffing the mountain bike into the trunk.
When Alexander Foster reached the doorway, he saw a stranger’s car slowly driving past. The rear window was open, and he could vaguely see a familiar face inside.
His Samoyed was biting at the leash, wanting him to take him, but Alexander Foster didn’t respond.
With a cold and clear look, he stared at the disappearing car with a hint of chilliness.
-
Layla Lowell and Diego Willis had met before, but at this moment, they gave each other the same curious looks they would when meeting for the first time.
A few seconds later, they both turned to look at Chloe, who was rummaging through her bag.
"Why did you bring him to tutor me?" Layla asked.
Diego Willis glared, "Tutor you? Chloe is clearly tutoring me."
"Chloe?" Layla frowned and looked at Chloe Collins, "Are you two close?"
Chloe took all the books out and said indifferently, "So-so."
Diego puffed out his chest, "Starting now, we’re growing closer every second."
Layla Lowell: "Never mind that, which subject should we start with?"
Chloe flipped through the pages, writing something on them with her pen, and said, "It’s not me who will tutor you, but him."
"Me?"
"Him?"
Both of them spoke at the same time.
"If I remember correctly, he’s from the Dreamers class." Layla’s eyes were full of disdain.
Chloe glanced at Diego, "Can you do it?"
"I..." Diego scratched the back of his head, "I really want to be able to, but..."
"Cut the crap. Spend ten minutes looking through every page I’ve folded, then explain it to her." As she said that, she tossed the already highlighted math book to Diego.
Diego took it, his heart uneasy.
It wasn’t that he didn’t want to explain, he just lacked confidence in himself.
There was a considerable gap between Class 18 and Class 25 after all, so there was naturally a difference in their performances.
As for explaining, it should be Layla tutoring him instead.
Chloe had already sat down beside the tea table, her head lowered as she scribbled in her English book.
Layla Lowell kicked the unresponsive Diego Willis with her uninjured left leg, "Hey, hurry up, look. If you can’t explain it, I’ll hit you."
Diego Willis frowned, "I’ve never seen such a rude girl."
Layla Lowell sneered, "I’m rude? Last time she threw me to the ground with one hand."
Diego Willis looked at Chloe Collins, who was quietly writing, and his gloomy expression softened, "She’s just straightforward and knows how to protect herself. She’s cute."
Layla Lowell impatiently glared at him.
Diego Willis finally sat down and started looking through the math book seriously.
Inside the math book were two pages filled with notes, each marked with which page and question or knowledge point it corresponded to.
