Chloe took it: "No big deal, you go and do your homework."

She seemed uninterested.

Robert Foster saw the look of surprise in her eyes. He was secretly glad, but also felt a pinch of guilt.

Actually, this notebook had been confiscated by his brother for a while. When he got it back, his game level had significantly changed.

Originally, it was a newly registered account that he hadn’t played much, thus the level was quite low.

She played a few rounds on the computer casually, and two hours later, she was overcome with sleepiness. Unable to resist, she leaned her head on the couch and slept.

She intended to take a nap, but her tiredness was too much. She couldn’t resist and soon fell into a deep sleep.

In her drowsy state, a complex noise suddenly flooded her ear. When she covered her ear, she accidentally found her fallen hearing aid.

After opening her eyes, she was no longer sleepy. She set the laptop on her lap aside, sat up, and gently rubbed her bleary eyes.

Just as she was about to put on her hearing aid, she heard a familiar male voice in the noisy brouhaha.

That half-joking voice was unmistakably Charles Carrington’s.

Alexander Foster said nothing.

Upon hearing this, Chloe paused, feeling that it might have something to do with her.

The next second, she heard Charles Carrington say: "Chloe doesn’t know you are making such a big sacrifice for her, she thinks I changed my mind. Honestly, I feel wronged. Maybe you should find time to talk to her about it?"

He obviously said it in a joking tone.

Yet, Alexander Foster said: "There is nothing to tell, I don’t want her to feel uncomfortable, feeling like she owes me."

Charles Carrington was taken aback, and then lamented: "It’s over, you’re hopelessly in love."

Chloe put in her hearing aid.

She was no longer sleepy.

She held her chest, and after a while, her heart rate gradually returned to normal.

She had always thought it was strange that Charles Carrington had changed his mind all of a sudden.

Turns out, it was Alexander Foster who was helping her.

Helping her unconditionally and silently.
