Evelyn Thompson said in a melodious voice, "Feeling unconvinced? If you’re feeling that way, why don’t you score full marks like Chlo-Chlo? Then, I’ll permit you to indulge in puppy love."

Alex Foster squinted, "Cain, do you already have this thought in mind? Your reaction seems quite strong."

Robert Foster almost choked on the lollipop juice, hastily replied, "I’m just trying to stand up for my rights."

Just as they were talking, Alexander Foster brought out the freshly cooked dishes.

As the fragrant lunch was served, all five of them sat down and began eating.

Evelyn was about to serve a dish to Chloe, but noticed that she no longer needed to help.

Alex was quicker than her with serving the dishes. As soon as he sat down, he relentlessly heaped servings into Chloe’s bowl, and only then served Evelyn and Robert.

"Chloe Collins, who cooks better out of my brother and my mom?"

Robert looked at her with a grin, "Mom, what you’re saying is, the dishes my brother cooked taste better than yours, right?"

"Tsk, why do you talk so much? Just eat your food." Alex served him a piece of rib, silencing his mouth.

Chloe glanced at Alex, then at Evelyn, and softly said, "Each has its own merits. I prefer stronger flavors. So, I like this one better."

She pointed to the red braised ribs in front of her.

Evelyn was both thrilled and a bit worried as she looked at her son.

Alex didn’t show much of a reaction, he just served Chloe another piece of rib, and said, "Eating too many heavy-flavored dishes can cause heatiness, so it’s important to have some light-flavored dishes too."

Chloe said, "Light flavors don’t hit the spot."

Alex suddenly broke into a smile, "But it’s good for your body."

Evelyn and her husband shared a chuckling glance, feeling comforted as they watched their kid.

Robert, however, scrunched up his nose and looked at his elder brother with contempt, "Bro, at this moment, you really are acting like a nagging old woman."

"Shut up." Evelyn and Alex said in unison.

Robert felt scared and lowered his head to eat.

Chloe couldn’t help but smirk, their family was truly harmonious.

After lunch.

Evelyn and Keith Grant took advantage of their free Sunday to stroll in the streets.

Alex had to attend an impromptu call, so he went next door to handle some work.

Chloe, with nothing to do, was standing in front of a three-meter-long fish tank, scattering fish feed now and then.

The sound of footsteps approached, Robert came down bringing a laptop with him.

"Chloe Collins, you... want to play a game?"

Chloe looked at him curiously, in a ghostly voice she said, "I have to do my homework in a while."

She hadn’t completed the math homework assigned by Keith.

Robert’s eyes sparkled as he said, "That’s okay, I happen to have some spare time today, I’ll help you with your homework. Meanwhile, you can enjoy a game."

Chloe put away the fish feed, tilted her head, and looked at him, "Why are you being so nice to me?"

"Hmm... anyway, I have played too much. I’m tired of it. Now it’s your turn," he handed her the laptop which was paused on a game page.

Chloe cast a casual glance at it, but was slightly taken aback.

She focused her eyes on the ID: [Don’t come here. You’re an eyesore.]

"ID? This one, isn’t it unique?"

Chloe gave a meaningful look and for the first time admiration appeared in her eyes, "Impressive skills you have."

Robert was stunned for a few seconds and then shyly scratched his head while laughing heartily, "Aha.. you are praising me too much..."

"Actually, this level is..."

"Huh?"

Robert coughed subtly, his gaze dodged, and he cleared his throat, "This is naturally the result of my hard effort of staying up late. If you have any doubts you can always ask me."
