She pondered about this for quite a while, until Charles Carrington came down from the next building.

"Going to the hospital. The trial is starting soon. Chat with your friends more."

She nodded.

Charles Carrington looked at her, "You seem preoccupied. Something on your mind?"

Chloe Collins looked up, and said indifferently, "Take care."

Having said that, she slowly walked inside.

Charles Carrington smiled, then walked away.

A gust of wind came from behind, and Chloe thought that Charles Carrington had come back, but the next second, she sensed someone else’s presence and dismissed the thought.

It was Mr. Ford.

Chloe abandoned the idea of returning to her room and sat in the rocking chair in the courtyard.

The window above the rocking chair was to Alexander’s study.

Chloe furrowed her eyebrows.

Mr. Ford stood quietly by the side, lowering his head pretending to be invisible and secretly lifted the corner of his mouth, thinking to himself that Young Master was really obedient, answering every question she asked.

Alexander looked down at the girl in front of him, her eyes filled with thoughts as if she was considering his words very seriously.

Her serious expression, at some moment, quietly poked at his heart.

He gently curled his lips, "I’ll be back soon."

His words made Chloe suddenly come back to her senses. She wanted to say something like, "You misunderstand, I’m not waiting for you," but when the words reached her lips, they seemed redundant, so she didn’t say them.

She silently stepped aside to let them go.

Alexander moved forward, and Mr. Ford followed.

After walking a few steps, Mr. Ford mouthed towards her, "We’ll be back soon."

Not long after they left, Chloe went to ask Master about the situation.

She didn’t know why, but she had an intuition that he would know.

Master was enjoying his life without worldly distractions and was at the moment enjoying a massage in the afternoon.

"When is the press conference for the new product?"
