Chapter 204: When the Sewer Bites Back
Chapter 204: When the Sewer Bites Back
In the dark streets of BB-2, two figures stood near a crumbling wall.
One was the black wolfman, his fur bristling, his claws sharp.
His eyes glowed as he watched the brute beside him.
The brute was massive, his skin covered in burn scars and rusted tattoos.
Jagged teeth glinted, some capped with metal.
He stood tall, fists clenched, his breath ragged.
The black wolfman crossed his arms, his tail swishing slowly.
"It’s time."
The brute shifted, his muscles tensing.
He turned his head slightly, one eye glowing under the night sky.
"Time for what?"
The wolfman’s grin was cold.
"You’re the first survivor of the experiment."
"Now, it’s time for you to prove you’re worth it."
The brute cracked his knuckles, his metal-capped teeth showing as he smirked.
"Worth it? I’ve been waiting for this."
The wolfman leaned in, his breath hot and steady.
"Wreak havoc. Find your revenge."
"The one who made you fall—the Heavenly Demon."
The brute’s eyes flared with hate.
"Finally. Heavenly Demon."
"I’ll make sure to make him pay. For my life. For this reason, I became like this."
The wolfman’s ears twitched.
"Good. That’s what I wanted to hear."
The brute’s body trembled. His muscles bulged, veins pulsing.
His skin split, fur bursting out. His face twisted, jaw elongating.
Claws grew from his fingers. His back arched, his voice a guttural growl.
Rusted chains snaked around his arms, metal clanging softly.
Armor plates covered his shoulders, each one jagged and sharp.
His eyes burned with fury.
The wolfman watched, a satisfied smirk on his lips.
"Heavenly Demon, count your days."
The brute—now a towering ratman—flexed his arms.
"I’ll show him what it means to make an enemy out of me."
The wolfman’s claws tapped the ground.
"Remember, make this as big as possible. Force him to come out."
The ratman nodded, his deep growl echoing.
"I know. I’ll make sure he feels the worst pain."
The wolfman’s tail flicked as he turned away.
"Go. It’s your time."
The ratman’s laugh echoed, low and dark.
"Heavenly Demon, your days are numbered."
---
The ratman’s claws gleamed under the broken streetlights as he lunged forward.
Civilians screamed, scattering in every direction.
The ground cracked under his weight, rust trails marking his path.
One civilian stumbled, trying to escape, but the ratman’s rusted chain whipped out.
He swung it in a wide arc with [Decay Chain Whip], the metal links clanging and striking hard.
The civilian fell, his leg trapped in the chains.
A nearby A-Rank hero with spiked armor dashed in, his sword raised.
"Hold it right there!"
The ratman turned, his lips pulling back in a snarl.
He swung his tail again with [Decay Chain Whip], slamming the hero’s sword and forcing him back.
Another hero, a girl with bright blue hair, activated [Lightning Bolt Dash].
She zipped in fast, her staff crackling with energy.
"You’re not getting away with this!"
She struck the ground with her staff, sending a wave of electricity at the ratman.
Sparks flew as they hit his rusted armor, but the ratman just growled, his chains rattling.
"Electricity won’t save you now."
His arms grew longer, claws sharper.
Every move left a trail of rust behind.
"You think your power scares me?"
The first hero lunged again, his sword glowing with [Blade Surge].
He slashed, sparks flying.
"Get back, monster!"
The ratman’s claws met the blade with a screech of metal.
The hero stumbled, his blade corroding before his eyes.
The girl moved again, her staff glowing bright with [Energy Focus].
She swung hard, aiming for the ratman’s head.
"Take this!"
The ratman ducked, his rusted armor plates sliding over his back.
He roared, his tail whipping around.
"[Corrode Line Carve]!"
The ground cracked, rust lines spreading.
The heroes jumped back, their feet skidding across the ruined street.
The ratman stood tall, his chains clinking.
"Pathetic. None of you can stand against me."
He cracked his knuckles, his claws twitching.
"Bring me the Heavenly Demon or else."
One of the A-Rank heroes, a tall man with a shield, stepped forward.
His eyes burned with determination.
"This is the hero area."
"If you want the Heavenly Demon, go to the Heavenly Demon Sect."
The ratman’s eyes flared with rage.
"Not that one..."
"The one I want is the hero Heavenly Demon. Call him, and I will let you die peacefully."
Another hero, a woman with a fiery staff, swung her weapon in front of her.
Her eyes narrowed, her hair tied in a tight braid.
"How dare you mock us, the heroes?"
"You disgusting monster. You will die today."
The ratman laughed, his chest heaving.
"Then let’s make you the appetizer."
The shield hero gripped his weapon, activating [Shield Burst].
A glowing barrier surrounded him, ready to block the next attack.
"Heroes, together!"
The woman with the staff planted her feet, flames building on her staff as she activated [Firestorm Pulse].
"Let’s burn this rat to ashes!"
A hero with dual daggers rushed forward, blades glowing with [Shadow Slash].
"You’re not going to leave this place alive."
The ratman braced himself, his chains rattling.
"[Decay Chain Whip]!"
His tail swung out, striking the ground.
The shield hero’s barrier cracked on impact.
He staggered but held his ground.
"Hold the line!"
The flame staff hero swung her staff, flames shooting toward the ratman.
"[Firestorm Pulse]!"
The fire hit the ratman’s rusted armor, but it only made him angrier.
His eyes glowed, and he stomped the ground.
"[Rustburst Eruption]!"
A thick cloud of rust exploded, covering the heroes.
The dagger hero coughed, his eyes burning.
"I can’t see!"
The ratman grinned, his teeth jagged.
"Good. Now let’s finish this."
He lunged forward, claws slicing the air.
The shield hero raised his shield, but the rust ate at the metal.
It cracked and split.
"No—"
The dagger hero tried to dodge, activating [Shadow Slash], but the rust clung to him, slowing him down.
"Too slow."
The ratman’s claws slashed, sending the dagger hero sprawling.
The flame staff hero backed up, her staff glowing bright.
"[Flame Strike]!"
She swung with all her might. Fire burst, hitting the ratman.
Smoke rose, but the ratman stood tall, his armor smoldering but not broken.
"Not enough," he growled.
"Where’s the hero Heavenly Demon?"
