Hero Hack: Reversing Heroes and Raising Harem
Chapter 205: Old Man Yells at Rat

Chapter 205: Old Man Yells at Rat

Blazren sat behind his desk, his hands flipping through reports on hero activities in the lower zones.

The stack of files was thick, a testament to the chaos that had unfolded over the past week.

He leaned back, his eyes narrowing at a few lines on one of the pages.

"Heavenly Demon Sect again."

His visor pinged with a sharp beep.

An alert appeared on his screen, red and urgent.

A staff member hurried in, her steps quick and voice tight.

"Sir, there’s an emergency in BB-2."

Blazren’s fingers paused on the desk.

"What is it?"

She took a breath.

"There’s an attack. A villain with rat transformation and rust abilities."

"He’s taken down a lot of heroes."

Blazren’s eyes darkened.

"How many?"

The staff frowned as she counted them.

"Three A-Rank heroes are badly injured. Ten B-Rank heroes are dead."

Blazren’s jaw tightened. His hands clenched into fists.

"Damn it."

He stood up slowly, his combat suit’s crimson lines pulsing faintly.

"How dare he kill the heroes?"

The staff member stepped back, her eyes wide as the heat around him rose.

"Sir, what should we do?"

Blazren stepped around the desk, his footsteps heavy.

"Show me the way."

The staff member nodded quickly, pointing to the screen.

"Route is set. Transport ready."

Blazren cracked his knuckles, the burn scars across his arms catching the light.

"I’ll handle him."

He walked to the door, his steps leaving faint embers on the metal floor.

"Tell every hero to stay clear of the area. This one’s mine."

The staff member’s voice trembled.

"Yes, Commander."

Blazren paused at the doorway.

"Rust abilities," he muttered.

"That means metal is a risk. I’ll have to use [Heat Skin] to keep my gear from jamming."

He took a deep breath, the air around him heating up.

"And if he tries to run, [Ember Boost] will make sure he doesn’t get far."

He shook his head, his hair flicking back."Three A-Rank heroes down. Ten B-Rank heroes dead."

His fists burned faintly.

"He’s going to pay for that."

The staff member watched him, her eyes wide.

"Good luck, Commander."

Blazren’s smirk was sharp.

"He’s the one who needs luck."

He stepped into the hall, his boots hitting the floor with purpose.

Flames danced at his fingertips.

"Time to end this," he muttered as the door shut.

---

The BB-2 area was in chaos, smoke rising from broken buildings and twisted metal.

Civilians ran in every direction, their eyes wide with fear.

Heroes moved among them, guiding them to safety, their faces tight with focus.

"Move it! Everyone to the safe zone!"

Another hero, his arm in a sling, limped toward a small group of kids, his hand outstretched.

"Follow me, stay close!"

A woman hero with a glowing staff hovered at the rear, her eyes scanning for any sign of the ratman.

"Keep moving, don’t look back."

Blazren arrived at the scene, his combat suit’s crimson lines glowing faintly.

He walked forward, his steps steady.

"Status report."

One of the heroes, sweat streaking his face, turned to him.

"Commander, three A-Rank heroes injured, ten B-Rank heroes dead."

"We’re evacuating everyone. We can’t hold him off."

Blazren’s ember-orange eyes darkened.

"Good. Get them out. I’ll handle this."

The hero’s eyes widened.

"Yes, Commander."

The heroes nodded to each other and began retreating, their movements quick and sharp.

They gathered the civilians, forming a line of protection as they moved.

The ratman stood tall in the middle of the cracked street, his chains rattling.

His rusted tattoos glistened with sweat and grime.

He watched the retreating heroes, his teeth bared in a savage grin.

"Running, are we?" he sneered. "Cowards!"

He lifted his clawed hand, rusted armor plates clanking together.

"Where is that bastard Heavenly Demon?"

Blazren frowned, his ember-orange eyes narrowing.

"If you want the Heavenly Demon, go to the Heavenly Demon Sect."

"Why are you creating chaos here?"

The ratman’s grin widened, his jagged teeth glinting.

"I have said it before," he shouted.

"Not that Heavenly Demon! I want the hero one!"

Blazren’s frown deepened, his fists clenching.

"What do you want with him?"

The ratman’s breath came in ragged gasps, his chains rattling as his body shook with rage.

"I want revenge," he growled.

"Thanks to him, my gang was obliterated."

"I became a research subject for some other villain group. All of this—"

He pointed to his rusted body, the metal chains, the scars

"—All of this was because of that Heavenly Demon!"

Blazren crossed his arms, his expression hard.

"A gang, huh? So you were a criminal even before all this," he said.

"You can’t be pitied. Today is the day you die."

The ratman snarled, his eyes wild.

"Old man, you’re the one who’s going to die."

Blazren’s smirk was sharp.

"We’ll see," he replied.

The ratman took a step forward, his claws scraping the ground.

"I was strong before, but now—now I’m unstoppable," he spat.

"I’ll make sure to take down anyone who stands in my way."

Blazren cracked his knuckles, the burn scars across his arms glowing faintly.

"Then come at me. I’ve dealt with scum like you before."

The ratman’s tail flicked, his chains rattling louder.

"You think you can beat me? I’ve survived worse."

Blazren tilted his head, his face calm.

"[Infernal Drive] will make sure you burn before I even get close," he muttered.

The ratman’s claws twitched.

"I’m not scared of your fire, old man."

Blazren’s eyes glinted with confidence.

"You will be."

The ratman stomped the ground, his rusted chains slamming against the pavement.

"Let’s see who falls first," he growled.

Blazren took a deep breath, the air around him heating up.

"You talk too much," he said.

"Time to see if your bite is as strong as your bark."

The two locked eyes, tension crackling between them.

The air smelled of rust and heat.

Heroes nearby watched from a distance, ready to step in if needed.

The ratman flexed his claws, his body tensing for the coming fight.

"Old man, I’ll make sure you regret ever crossing me."

Blazren’s smirk didn’t fade.

"You’re the one who should regret ever setting foot in my city."

He took a step forward, his combat suit’s crimson lines glowing brighter.

"Let’s get this over with."
